Cleckheaton Central railway station was a railway station serving the West Yorkshire town of Cleckheaton, England, until it was closed in the Beeching era, which saw the closure of many minor lines and stations around the United Kingdom through the 1960s. It has the distinction of being the only British railway station to have been stolen.

It is situated in the town centre with entrances from Dewsbury Road and Greenside. It was rebuilt in April 2005 replacing the previous Arriva Yorkshire owned site.

Whitechapel Church, is an unusual church building located approximately half a mile north of Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire, England. It was built in 1820 on a site associated with over nine centuries of worship. It has supported Roman Catholic, Protestant, Puritan, Methodist and Anglican worship during its history. Links with this site of worship have been made to the Romans, the Brontës, the Knights Hospitaller, a grave slab of one of the knights being in the entrance to the church, Celtic influences, and in recent times the graveyard contains war graves from the world wars. Legend also has it that Robin Hood is connected with this site of worship.

Liversedge F.C. is a football club based in Cleckheaton, England, on the border with Hightown in Liversedge. They are currently members of the Northern Premier League Premier Division. Liversedge play their home games at Clayborn, which features a clubhouse to the top west corner of the ground, covered seating at the North, and a small covered-terracing stand to the West behind the goal. In 2017, Liversedge secured much-needed investment from Trevor Best, Managing Director and Founder of Corpad. Best managed Liversedge in the 1990s, and is their current chairman.

Hightown is a hamlet within the parish of Liversedge, West Yorkshire, England, with a diverse socioeconomic culture. Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, to the north, neighbouring the border with Calderdale, is the Windybank council estate. To the east is Hightown Road, where some houses are valued at over a million pounds, and to the south bordering Mirfield and Roberttown is a very middle class private housing estate. Nearby towns include Cleckheaton, Heckmondwike, and Gomersal, as well as the cities of Bradford and Leeds. The most notable residents of Hightown were the Brontë family, who lived here before they moved to Haworth.

It is situated in a bend of the B6119 road at the junction with the road from Roberttown. Beggerington has traditionally been considered a part of Hartshead. The place name means either "where the berries grow" or is related to beggar.A coal mine was recorded here in the 19th century as "Beggarington Pit, Hartshead".A waste water treatment works named Beggarington is located off Green Lane, a public bridleway.
