Strand is a village in Sandefjord Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The village is located along the Mefjorden in the middle part of Østerøya peninsula, about 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) to the southeast of the centre of the city of Sandefjord, about 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) south of the village of Hafallen, and about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) south of the village of Lahelle. Strand is considered to be one of the outer neighborhoods in the eastern part of the city of Sandefjord which has an area of 24 square kilometres (9.3 sq mi) and a population (in 2022) of 45,816. The statistical area Strand, which also can include the peripheral parts of the village as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of 164.

Skjellvika is a lagoon and one of the most visited beaches in Sandefjord municipality, Vestfold og Telemark, Norway. It has the most shallow waters of any beach in town, furthermore, it has one of the city’s purest sea water quality. It is situated at East Island. It lies by the Lahellefjord and is owned and maintained by the municipality of Sandefjord. It lies one kilometer south of Lahelle. The oceans off Skjellvika are used for ice-fishing during winter months.Skjellvika is home to a convenience store, diving boards, floating platforms, numerous sloping rocks, and a mountainside pier which follows the ocean. It is considered a child-friendly beach with its shallow waters. It is located 5.5 km (3.1 mi.) from the Sandefjord city center.The nearby area is home to numerous seaside cabins and vacation homes.There are several nearby hiking trails, including a 9 km (5.5 mi.) trail to Tønsberg Barrell, which sits at the southern tip of East Island. The trip can be made shorter by stopping at Flautangen Beach, which is 4.5 km (2.8 mi.) from Skjellvika. Tønsberg Barrel has been named the most beautiful place in Sandefjord.Numerous islets can be found nearby, including Møyern, Natholmen, Fornet, and Marøyskjæra. The beach was purchased and acquired by the city in the early 1940s through the work of Mayor Frithjof Holtedahl.

Stauper is an archipelago in Sandefjord Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The islands are located in the Tønsbergfjorden, about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) south of the island of Natholmen. It consists of 170 decares (17 ha; 42 acres) of rocky islands, islets, and skerries. The uninhabited islands are only accessible by boat. Stauper consists of 21 islands, including the larger islands of Betjenterholmen (0.03 square kilometres or 7.4 acres), Terneskjær, Teholmen, Stauperkollen, Kistholmen, Langholmen, Ærholmen, Stauperluva, Lyngholmen, Torgerskjær, and Helgerødskjær. They are located in-between the Østerøya peninsula in Sandefjord Municipality and Tjøme in Færder Municipality.The islands consist of deep bays, long straits, cliff formations, and round rocks and skerries. Naturally occurring plants on the islands include European red raspberry, Wild pansy, Sea thrift, and Yellow toadflax. Several cabins were previously located on the island Betjenterholmen. Despite its location in-between Flautangen (Østerøya) and Lindholmen (Tjøme) in the Tønsbergfjord, the archipelago belongs to the municipality of Sandefjord.It is particularly popular during the summer months for recreational activities including swimming, sun bathing, kayaking, diving, boating, fishing, and camping. Public toilets and trash cans have been installed on the islands, however, the islands have no piers or established campground facilities. The islands are popular for boaters during summer. While there are no sandy beaches on the islands, they are used for jumping, diving, and snorkeling. Since 2012, Pernille Sjølett Hansen has held annual concerts on the islands.

Vesterøya (lit. 'West Island') a peninsula in Sandefjord Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. It is one of two long, narrow peninsulas located south of the city of Sandefjord. The peninsula lies between the Mefjorden and Sandefjordsfjorden and it sits across the fjord from the Østerøya peninsula. The peninsula is primarily known for its many beaches and idyllic coastal landscape, but there are also numerous trails used for hiking and biking.The landscape is dominated by hills, mountains, forests, beaches, sloping rocks, and farm fields. The peninsula has a length of 10 kilometers. It is home to a large number of vacation homes, beaches, campgrounds, and recreational areas. There are about 25 kilometres (16 mi) of hiking trails on Vesterøya, which is connected to the 20-kilometre (12 mi) coastal path on Østerøya. The hiking trail is part of the international North Sea Trail.

Lahellefjord or Lahellefjorden is a minor fjord-arm off the main Tønsbergfjorden in Sandefjord Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The 5-kilometre (3.1 mi) long fjord stretches from Natholmen island to its base at the village of Lahelle. The fjord is one of four fjords located along the Sandefjord coast.Islands and islets within the fjord include Natholmen (by its mouth), Faraholmen, Trondskjær, Rauern, Marøyskjæra, and Møyern.

Natholmen or Nattholmen is an island in Sandefjord Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The island is located in the Tønsbergfjorden at the entrance to the Lahellefjorden. The 0.22-square-kilometre (22 ha; 54-acre) island is situated about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) to the east of the town of Sandefjord. The island was only accessible by boat until a bridge was installed in 1920 connecting the island to the mainland. The inhabited island is the home to Knattholmen Campground (Knattholmen leirsted), which is the oldest campground in Norway.On 12 August 1923 the YWCA-YMCA (Norwegian: KFUK-KFUM) established the campground on the island. The campground is called Knattholmen, which may have been the original name given to the island.: 219 The island was the largest island in the municipality of Sandefjord prior to the 2017 merger with Andebu and Stokke. It is 900 metres (3,000 ft) long from north to south, and 400 metres (1,300 ft) wide at its widest from east to west. It is located between the Lahellefjord and the Tønsbergfjord. It is 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) east of the centre of the city of Sandefjord, and immediately south of the Årø peninsula. The island is a gated community that is connected to the mainland by a private bridge. However, there is a parking lot by the gate, which can be accessed by pedestrians. There is also a public bus route to the island (route 163). Attractions on the island include Sandbukta ("sand bay"), which is a beach on its eastern side. It is also a common destination for recreational activities such as camping, paddling, sea trout fishing, hiking, and sailing. It has surrounding views of the Tønsbergfjord and the nearby Stauper islands. A former customs station on the island, known as Blåsen, has also become a landmark. The island hosts annual summer camps for the Queer Youth Festival and the YWCA-YMCA Guides and Scouts of Norway.

Hafallen is a village in Sandefjord Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The village is located along the Mefjorden in the northern part of Østerøya peninsula. It is located about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) to the southeast of the centre of the city of Sandefjord, about 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) north of the village of Strand, and about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) south of the village of Lahelle. Hafallen is considered to be one of the outer neighborhoods in the eastern part of the city of Sandefjord which has an area of 24 square kilometres (9.3 sq mi) and a population (in 2022) of 45,816. The statistical area Hafallen, which also can include the peripheral parts of the village as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of 136.

Langeby is a beach at West Island (Vesterøya) in Sandefjord, Norway. It is described as the city's best beach by both Frommer's- and Fodor's Travel Guides. Besides its 150 metres (490 ft) sandy beach, it is home to Langeby Camping which offers boat- and kayak rentals. Langeby has a convenience store and piers used for fishing and boats. The beach has sloping rocks, a floating platform, diving boards, and showers. There is also a playground as well as a soccer field and volleyball court.Langeby attracts thousands of visitors every summer. It lies near Vøra, a beach and campground which attracts summer visitors and vacationers from throughout the country. A coastal path known as Kyststien connects Langeby to Vøra. Near Vesterøyveien between the two beaches are remains from the Stone Age, discovered at an area 23 metres (75 ft) from the ocean. Many archeological artifacts have been retrieved from this location. Tent camping is permitted on numerous nearby islets, including the 11 acres (4.5 ha) Hellesøya and 12 acres (4.9 ha) Buerøya. A nearby uninhabited island, Hellesøya, was purchased by the city in 1934 to become a public recreation area. Hellesøya Island is home to a campground, sandy beach, and a boat pier.The beach was purchased and acquired by the city in 1958.

Lahelle is a village in Sandefjord Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The village is located at the innermost part of the 5-kilometre (3.1 mi) long Lahellefjorden. It is also located at the northern end of the Østerøya peninsula. The village is about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) to the east of the centre of the city of Sandefjord, about 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) southwest of the village of Solløkka, about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) south of the village of Helgerød, and about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) east of the village of Gokstad. Lahelle is considered to be one of the outer neighborhoods in the eastern part of the city of Sandefjord which has an area of 24 square kilometres (9.3 sq mi) and a population (in 2022) of 45,816. The statistical area Lahelle, which also can include the peripheral parts of the village as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of 208.The oldest remaining house at Lahelle is dated to 1853. The area is now made up of a mixture of homes and vacation homes. There are several piers here along with sandy beaches.

Mefjorden or Mefjord is a small fjord in Sandefjord Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The 9-kilometre (5.6 mi) long fjord lies in-between two long, narrow peninsulas: Vesterøya and Østerøya. It is a narrow fjord with many minor islands and islets.

Solløkka is a village in Sandefjord Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The village is located at the north end of the Lahellefjorden, just across the fjord from the village of Lahelle. The village sits about 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) to the southeast of the village of Helgerød and about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) east of the city of Sandefjord. Solløkka is considered to be one of the outer neighborhoods in the eastern part of the city of Sandefjord which has an area of 24 square kilometres (9.3 sq mi) and a population (in 2022) of 45,816. The statistical area Solløkka, which also can include the peripheral parts of the village as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of 331.Solløkka has a boat harbor and a 70-metre (230 ft) long sandy beach area plus it also has a number of cabins and vacation homes and a campground (“Solløkka camping og leirsted”).

Freberg is a small, rural village in Sandefjord Municipality in Vestfold county, Norway. The village is located between the villages of Gokstad to the west, Helgerød to the northeast, and Lahelle to the southeast. Freberg is considered to be one of the outer neighborhoods in the eastern part of the city of Sandefjord which has an area of 24 square kilometres (9.3 sq mi) and a population (in 2022) of 45,816. The statistical area Freberg, which also can include the peripheral parts of the village as well as the surrounding countryside, had a population of 141 in 2007.
