Dickinson Museum Center

Badlands Dinosaur Museum in Dickinson, North Dakota, United States, reopened on May 17, 2016, after over twenty years operating as Dakota Dinosaur Museum. It is part of the museum complex at Dickinson Museum Center. The 13,400-square-foot (1,240 m2) museum includes dinosaur skeletons, skulls, and reconstructions, with dozens of displays featuring other fine fossils and minerals. Notable exhibits include international award-winning feathered dinosaur models, a complete Triceratops skull, an articulated hadrosaur arm with mummified skin, and full standing mounts of Allosaurus and Albertosaurus.

The Dickinson (Carnegie Area) Public Library on 3rd St. W. in Dickinson, North Dakota was built in 1909 as a Carnegie library, funded by a $12,500 grant.A 1938 expansion was a Works Project Administration project, with design by Louis W. Veigel. It was expanded again in 1975 at cost of in 1975 for $224,541.There is record of architect Joseph Bell DeRemer having association with the building. It has elements of Classical Revival and Beaux Arts architecture.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

Stark County Courthouse is a historic courthouse in Dickinson, North Dakota, United States, which was built in 1936–1937. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 25, 1985.It was built for $213,000, which then represented quite a building boom, giving encouragement "to the local population that the hardest part of the Depression had ended."It, along with the Hettinger County Courthouse (in Mott) is significant for its Art Deco architecture. The Stark County Courthouse was designed by William F. Kurke, a prolific architect.

The Dickinson Post Office in Dickinson, North Dakota, is a post office building that was built in 1916. It was expanded to the east in 1965–66. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989 as U.S. Post Office-Dickinson.It is built to be fireproof, with hollow tile walls which are faced in gray pressed Hebron brick, laid in American bond. Ohio sandstone is used for trim, and polished granite is used for the front steps and the grade course.

The Elks Club and Store Building—Dickenson Lodge #1137, also known as Elks Club or Elks Building, is an Early Commercial building in Dickinson, North Dakota, United States. It was built in 1913. It has been used as a meeting hall, a specialty store, and a business. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.The building also hosted the Dickinson Normal School, predecessor of Dickinson State University.The building was vacant for more than 20 years. The city of Dickinson took ownership of the building in December 2001. EPA Brownsfield Cleanup grant funding of $200,000 assisted in abatement of asbestos, lead, and mold; the city contributed $94,000 in cleanup completed in 2005.

Dickinson State University (DSU) is a public university in Dickinson, North Dakota. It is part of the North Dakota University System. It was founded in 1918 as Dickinson State Normal School and granted full university status in 1987.

Dickinson High School is a public high school located in Dickinson, North Dakota. It currently serves about 1,060 students and is a part of the Dickinson Public Schools system. The official school colors are orange and black and the athletic teams are known as the Midgets. DHS educates an average of 1,000 students in grades nine through twelve each year, and employs 60 certified teachers and 35 classified staff members. DHS offers 328 different courses in a variety of subjects, as well as Advanced Placement courses and college dual-credit courses.

Dickinson Dam is a dam in Stark County, North Dakota, one and a half miles west of the town of Dickinson. The earthen dam was completed by the United States Bureau of Reclamation in May 1950, impounding the Heart River. The dam has a structural height of 65 feet and is 2275 feet along its crest. The dam was expanded in 1981, and an auxiliary spillway with bascule gates added. The dam creates the Dickinson Reservoir, renamed Edward Arthur Patterson Lake in 1959. The reservoir holds 8612 acre-feet of water, used for agricultural irrigation, flood control, and for Dickinson's municipal needs. No hydroelectric power is generated here. The lake covers about 1,190 surface acres and 22 miles of shoreline. Recreation available at the lake includes camping, fishing and boating.

KLTC also airs North Dakota State Boson football.
