Rouf (Greek: Ρουφ pronounced [ˈɾuf]) is a neighborhood of Athens, Greece. It is located to the west of the Athens centre, between Piraeus and Petrou Ralli Avenue. Rouf is named after a Bavarian businessman who, during Otto's reign, bought large areas in this location to make a farm. When the railway passed through this area, the local station was named Rouf. During the interwar period, a camp was built in Rouf. In 1947, the local team of Rouf was founded under the name Asteras Rouf and later renamed to PAO Rouf.

Rouf railway station (Greek: Σιδηροδρομικός Σταθμός Ρουφ, romanized: Sidirodromikos stathmos Rouf) is a station on the Piraeus–Platy railway line in Rouf, a neighbourhood of Athens, located on the borders of the municipalities of Athens and Tavros. Originally opened on 30 June 1884 it was rebuilt to serve Athens Suburban Railway lines when this section came into operation in June 2007. It owes its name to the area of Rouf, named after a Bavarian businessman who once owned the land in the 19th Century.

Petralona (Greek: Πετράλωνα) is a metro Line 1 station, located in Petralona 7.016 km from Piraeus station. It is located in Athens and took its name from the neighbourhood in Athens, It was first opened on 22 November 1954 and features two platforms. It was renovated in 2004.

Petralona (Greek: Πετράλωνα, pronounced [peˈtɾa.lo.na]) is a neighborhood of Athens, Greece. Athenians further subdivide the area into Ano (upper) Petralona or Kato (Lower) Petralona, where Ano Petralona is the area between the Philopappos Hill and the railway and Kato Petralona the area between the railway and Piraeus Street. Sometimes as part of Ano Petralona refers and the small neighbourhood Assyrmatos.

Ceriadae or Keiriadai (Ancient Greek: Κειριάδαι) was a deme of ancient Attica, of the phyle of Hippothontis, sending two delegates to the Boule. It was located outside of the walls of Themistocles, west of the hill of the Nymphs and west of the Pnyx. In this deme there was the baratharon (βάραθρον), a chasm into which criminals condemned to death were thrown. The site of Ceriadae is west of the Pnyx.

Tavros, officially Tavros–Eleftherios Venizelos (Greek: Ταύρος–Ελευθέριος Βενιζέλος) is a station on Line 1 of the Athens Metro, 6.171 km from the line's southern terminus at Piraeus. It is located in the municipality of Tavros in the regional unit of South Athens, Attica, near the boundary with Kallithea. The station is also known as Tavros-Eleftherios Venizelou, after the former Prime Minister Eleftherios Venizelos.

Votanikos (Greek: Βοτανικός, pronounced [votaniˈkos]) is a neighborhood in Athens, Greece. The area is named after a nearby botanical garden situated to the southwest (Athens Botanical Gardens). The eastern part are residential, the western part are forested and industrialized. The subdivision has no squares but has a nearby school. Major streets bordering this subdivision includes Patsi Street to the west, Athinon Avenue to the north, Konstantinopouleos Avenue and the rail to the south and Petrou Ralli Avenue to the south. The Iera Odos runs in the middle. The population is around 5,000–6,000 people and the area is about 0.5 km². Athens's first mosque will be in Votanikos district.

Kerameikos (Greek: Κεραμεικός) is a station on Athens Metro Line 3. It opened on 26 May 2007 as part of the Egaleo extension.

Tavros (Greek: Ταύρος, which means "bull"), is a town and a suburb in the southwestern part of the Athens agglomeration, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Moschato-Tavros, of which it is a municipal unit.

Patsi Street (Greek: Οδός Σπύρου Πατσή) is a street in the western part of the center of the Greek capital city of Athens. It was named after Spyridon Patsis, a former mayor of Athens. It connects Athinon Avenue in the north with Konstantinopouleos Avenue in the south. The street also crosses Iera Odos.

Tavros railway station (Greek: Σιδηροδρομικός σταθμός Ταύρου, romanized: Sidirodromikos stathmos Tauros), signed as Tauros, is a station on the Piraeus–Platy railway line in Tavros, a suburb in the regional unit of South Athens, Attica. It opened on 1 October 2014 to serve Athens Suburban Railway lines to/from Piraeus to Kiato and Athens Airport.

The Melina Merkouri Cultural Centre is a municipal cultural organization in Athens, Greece. It is housed in an impressive old hat factory in Thisseio. The Centre has two permanent exhibitions, the one called "Travelogue of Athens", which presents the neighborhoods of Athens at the beginning of the 20th century, and the other "The Charidimos Shadow Theater", with figures and materials of the famous shadow theater artist. The centre also includes the "Melina" hall, a 220 square metres (2,400 sq ft) room where temporary exhibitions, events and concerts, but also seminars and meetings take place. Another room of 380 square metres (4,100 sq ft) and 5 metres (16 ft) height is meant for large-scale exhibits.
