2005 Taylor Woodrow Grand Prix of San Jose

The San Jose Grand Prix was an annual street circuit race in the Champ Car World Series in San Jose, California. The race had three different title sponsors over the course of its three-year existence, being known as the Taylor Woodrow Grand Prix of San Jose in 2005, Canary Foundation Grand Prix of San Jose Presented by Taylor Woodrow in 2006, and the San Jose Grand Prix at Redback Raceway in 2007.

Sobrato Office Tower is a 17-story, class-A office building located at 488 Almaden Boulevard in San Jose, California. It is the third tallest building in the city. The building was completed in 2002 by the Sobrato Organization and remained unoccupied for nine years. Sobrato sold the building for $135 million to BEA Systems in 2007, which was itself later purchased by the building's present owner, Oracle.Shortly after its headquarters moved to Austin from Redwood Shores, in 2021, Oracle sold off its San Jose tower for $155 million, making a profit of nearly $20 million over the course of its 13 year ownership.

The San Jose McEnery Convention Center (commonly known simply as the San Jose Convention Center) is a convention center in Downtown San Jose, California. The 550,000-square-foot (51,000 m2) facility is the largest convention center in Silicon Valley. It is known for hosting high-profile technology conferences and events like the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference and Facebook F8, as well as non-tech events like FanimeCon and Silicon Valley Comic Con. The San Jose Convention Center opened in 1989, replacing a convention hall of the same name at San Jose Civic. It is named after Tom McEnery, a former Mayor of San Jose. The South Hall opened in 2005, and the main hall was renovated and expanded in 2013. Team San Jose manages the convention center along with several nearby event centers.

Further Confusion, or Furcon, is an annual furry convention held in San Jose, California each January, celebrating the anthropomorphics genre or furry fandom, including charitable benefits, educational seminars, art shows, panels and general social activities. It was the first event sponsored by Anthropomorphic Arts and Education (Furcon is its registered service mark) and continues to be its largest. Beginning in 1999 with the attendance of 691 individuals, Further Confusion has grown rapidly. In 2020, its record attendance was 4,630 individuals from around the world. Further Confusion donated over $100,000 to various charitable beneficiaries (including animal shelters, rescue groups, and the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund) in the period 1999–2008. Its art show sales routinely exceed $50,000.

Crunchyroll Expo (CRX) is an annual three-day anime convention held during August/September at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California over Labor Day weekend. The convention is organized by anime licensor Crunchyroll and ReedPop.

SiliCon with Adam Savage (formally Silicon Valley Comic Con) is an annual pop culture and technology convention, at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California. The convention was founded by Steve Wozniak, Stan Lee and Rick White. The inaugural event was held March 18–20, 2016 at San Jose's McEnery Convention Center. The convention was rebranded as SiliCon in early 2020 and Adam Savage was appointed as the creative director.

FanimeCon is an annual four-day anime convention held during May at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California over Memorial Day weekend.

Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose (CDM) is a cultural institution serving children, families, and schools in the Silicon Valley/San Francisco Bay Area. A member of the Association of Children's Museums and the Association of Science-Technology Centers, Children's Discovery Museum is located in downtown San Jose, California on Woz Way. The street is named after Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple Computer whose nickname is "Woz." Wozniak was the single largest private donor during the original capital campaign that funded the museum. The museum opened its doors in 1990, and over 9 million visitors have visited. The museum builds and displays interactive exhibits that responds to early childhood education. The 52,000-square-foot (4,800 m2) purple building was designed by Mexico City-based architect Ricardo Legorreta, and houses 28,000-square-foot (2,600 m2) of gallery space as well as a half-acre outdoor nature play space opened in 2017. The museum's exhibits, programs and initiatives have received local, regional and national attention. Among its exhibits are a two life size Columbian mammoth replicas, authentic explorable vehicles including a fire engine and a Wells Fargo wagon, and five visual and performing arts spaces. The museum is known for its Cultural Celebrations series highlighting the culture and traditions of the diverse population groups represented in this majority minority region.Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose has been ranked by Child Magazine as one of the top 10 children's museums in the United States and ranked by the London Observer as one of the top 5 science centers in the world.

Convention Center is an at-grade light rail station on the Blue Line and the Green Line of the VTA light rail system. The station platform is located in the median of West San Carlos Street, between Almaden Boulevard and Market Street. The station is located across from the San Jose Convention Center, after which the station is named. Convention Center was renovated in 2006 to be made fully wheelchair accessible.

The San Jose Center for the Performing Arts is located in Downtown San Jose, California. It was designed in 1972 by the Taliesin Associated Architects. It is now home to San Jose Dance Theatre and Broadway San Jose.

Children's Discovery Museum is an at-grade light rail station on the Blue Line of the VTA light rail system. The station platform runs along Woz Way (named after Apple founder Steve "Woz" Wozniak) and serves the Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose, after which the station is named. Just south of this station, the Blue Line enters the median of California State Route 87.

The San Jose Civic (formerly known as the San Jose Civic Auditorium and City National Civic) is a former arena, currently operating as a theatre, located in downtown San Jose, California. The venue is owned by the City of San Jose, is managed by Team San Jose and is booked by Nederlander Concerts. The auditorium seats 3,036 which can be expanded up to 3,326 in a general admission setting.
