Ismaïl Makhlouf Stadium (Arabic: ملعب إسماعيل مخلوف) is a multi-use stadium in Larbaâ, Algeria. It is currently used mostly for football matches stadium is the home ground of RC Arbaâ. The stadium holds 7,000 spectators.It bears the name of an Algerian revolutionary Ismail Makhlouf, former goalkeeper of the RCA and member of the FLN. In a match of his team at the Larbaâ, it was hunted and killed by the colonial army between halftime, he died by wearing the shirt of his club. Well and honor him, the main stadium of the city of Larbaâ bore his name since independence of Algeria.

The Centre Commercial Bab Ezzouar (Arabic: المركز التجاري لباب الزوار) is a shopping mall in Algiers, Algeria. The construction of the Centre Commercial Bab Ezzouar was in charge of the Swiss bank Valartis. Construction began in May 2007 and was planned for completion in November 2009; however, after problems arose the mall opening was delayed until August 2010.

Souhane is a small mountain town between Larbaa and Tablat in the wilaya of Blida, Algeria, along the RN 8 highway about 25 km south of Algiers. Following the Souhane massacre of 20 August-21 August 1997, in which 64 people were killed and 15 women kidnapped, the terrified population left en masse, bringing the town's population down from 4000 before the massacre to just 103 in 2002; since then, the population has increased, to 300 in 2005. In the local elections of 2002, it gave 5 seats to the traditional single party the FLN, 1 to the recent pro-military RND, and 1 to the moderate Islamist HMS[1]. Its postcode is 0917.

The University of Science and Technology – Houari Boumediene (French: Université des sciences et de la technologie Houari-Boumediene, USTHB, Arabic: جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا هواري بومدين) is a university located in the town of Bab-Ezzouar 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from Algiers, Algeria. The university was designed by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and was inaugurated in 1974. Courses offered include Computing, Pure and Applied Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geology, Civil Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, Process Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. USTHB was the largest university in Algeria until 2013; it has over 20,000 students. The government five-year plan aiming at raising the number of university students in Algeria from 1.2 million in 2010 to 2 million students in 2014 has led to the construction of new universities and faculties in almost every Algerian town; some universities are now larger than the USTHB in the number of enrolled students. USTHB collaborates with western universities. Agreements exist between the faculties and their counterpart in France, Quebec Canada and other countries for the purpose of training and research. A number of Arab and African student receive grants to study in the USTHB. Tutoring language in the university is the French language, except for the Geography curriculum that is provided in Arabic language.

The Regency of Algiers (Arabic: الجزائر, romanized: al Jaza'ir) was a state in North Africa lasting from 1516 to 1830, until it was conquered by the French. Situated between the regency of Tunis in the east, the Sultanate of Morocco (from 1553) in the west and Tuat as well as the country south of In Salah in the south (and the Spanish and Portuguese possessions of North Africa), the Regency originally extended its borders from La Calle in the east to Trara in the west and from Algiers to Biskra, and afterwards spread to the present eastern and western borders of Algeria.It had various degrees of autonomy throughout its existence, in some cases reaching complete independence, recognized even by the Ottoman sultan. The country was initially governed by governors appointed by the Ottoman sultan (1518–1659), rulers appointed by the Odjak of Algiers (1659–1710), and then Deys elected by the Divan of Algiers from (1710-1830).

Bab Ezzouar (; Arabic: باب الزوار) is a suburb of the city of Algiers in northern Algeria. It is one of Algiers fastest growing municipalities and has seen many hotels and commercial malls being raised in the area. Bab Ezzouar is also the location of the University of Science and Technology of Houari Boumediene (USTHB), which is one of the most prominent technological universities in Algeria.
