BlueSky was the first charter school in Minnesota to be completely online, following on from Mindquest, which was the first online public high school. When BlueSky opened, a law was passed that made online schools have to spend at least two days per week in a traditional classroom with a teacher, but BlueSky was already completely online so it was allowed to stay. The law was later repealed. In June 2005, BlueSky had its first graduating class. Seventeen students graduated, and two graduation ceremonies were held: one in Bloomington for students from the metro area, and one in International Falls for students from the northern part of Minnesota. In January 2006, BlueSky held a mid-year graduation ceremony in Saint Paul for seven students that had finished their graduation requirements at the end of the first semester.

Two Rivers High School (formerly known as Henry Sibley High School), located in Mendota Heights, Minnesota, United States, was founded in 1954. The current school was built in 1971 to serve students in grades 9–12. Today, it serves students in grades 9–12 and houses the district’s administrative offices. It underwent extensive remodeling of several areas in the school thanks to passage of a facilities and technology referendum in 2004. It serves as the public high school for the communities of Mendota Heights, Mendota, Sunfish Lake, Lilydale, West St. Paul and parts of Inver Grove Heights and Eagan. It is a member of the Metro East Conference. It was formerly named for Henry Hastings Sibley and in 2021, the District 197 School Board voted to change the name to Two Rivers High School. The change was prompted by the reexamination of Sibley's role in the Dakota War of 1862 and the country's largest mass execution.

The George W. Wentworth House is a large Queen Anne style home, that was built in 1887 in West Saint Paul in the U.S. state of Minnesota. Wentworth was an emigre from England who traded in horses; he was also involved in local politics, working to organize the city of South Saint Paul. In the late 1880s, a dispute arose between the farmers in the western portion of the city, whom Wentworth represented, and the people living around the stockyards in the eastern portion of the city. West Saint Paul disjoined from South Saint Paul in 1889 and Wentworth remained politically active in the new city. After his death in 1908, the house remained vacant for many years before being renovated by subsequent owners. The hard work of current owner Daniel W. Owned since 1987-current day.

Sunfish Lake is a lake in Dakota County, in the U.S. state of Minnesota.Sunfish Lake was named for the sunfish native to its waters.

St. Croix Lutheran Academy formerly known as St. Croix Lutheran High School, is a private Lutheran middle school and high school in West St. Paul, Minnesota, in the United States. The school has a student body population of about 500 total students in sixth through twelfth grade. Most of SCLA's students live in the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul area and travel to and from school each day. Day school students mix with one hundred and fifty boarding school students who stay in an on-campus residence, so students from all over America and about 15 countries worldwide go to school at SCLA. St. Croix is a school with one of the lowest Christian private school tuitions in the state of Minnesota. Teachers work with students in classes that prepare them for college and include the required courses of English, Social Studies, Mathematics, Religion, Science, Physical Education and Health. College level courses include advanced placement (AP) options, STEM courses, PSEO, and dual credit online courses. A variety of elective courses encourage student's special interests and prepares them for a university.

West St. Paul is a city in Dakota County, Minnesota, immediately south of Saint Paul, Minnesota, and immediately west of South St. Paul, Minnesota, United States.

Humboldt Senior High School is a public high school located in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States which serves students in grades 6-12. The school is the smallest of the nine high schools in the Saint Paul Public Schools district with an enrollment of 858 students. It is the only high school located on the West Side of Saint Paul. The school was founded in 1889 and is one of the oldest in Saint Paul. A founding member of the Saint Paul City Conference, Humboldt fields regular and adapted sports teams. Humboldt has a large percentage of low-income students and has struggled on national standardized tests. The school shares facilities with Humboldt Junior High School and both schools have a program focus on environmental studies and career preparation. The school offers a number of college prep classes and has several programs to help low-income students prepare for and attend college.

The Rau/Strong House is a historic house and accompanying carriage barn in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. It is located in Saint Paul's West Side neighborhood. It was built 1884–86, with an eclectic Italianate/Second Empire/Eastlake movement design featuring a mansard roof and hammered quoin blocks. The Rau/Strong House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975 for its architectural significance as a finely crafted "urban estate" representative of Saint Paul's late-19th-century middle class residences.

Riverview Branch Library is a branch of the Saint Paul Public Library serving the West Side neighborhood of Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. It is a Carnegie library built in 1916. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984 for having local significance in the themes of architecture and education. It was nominated for being one of only three Carnegie libraries built in Saint Paul, one of the first projects of Saint Paul city architect Charles A. Hausler, one of the last American libraries built with Carnegie Foundation funding, and for being an important neighborhood landmark in Beaux-Arts style.

St. Matthew's School in the West Side neighborhood of Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA, is a 1902 school designed by John F. Fisher; it originally served German immigrants and now serves the local Hispanic community. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building is now used by the West Side Summit charter school.

Mendota Road Bridge is a stone arch bridge that spans the outlet of Pickerel Lake where it meets the Mississippi River just south of downtown St. Paul, Minnesota, USA. It was built in 1894 by the city of St. Paul and was designed by the St. Paul City Engineer's Office. The bridge is historically significant as an example of a small-scale 19th century stone arch highway bridge. The stone used in the bridge is locally quarried gray limestone. Ornamentation on the bridge includes protruding keystones at the top of the arch, a slight peak at the top of the arch, and a string course that matches the roadway level. The bridge resembles other stone arch bridges built in Minnesota townships during the late 19th century and early 20th century, but the ornamentation sets it apart. Another facet of historical importance is the fact that the bridge has never been substantially altered during its lifetime, except for a concrete cap replacing the original coping at the top of the railings. The bridge has been listed in the National Register of Historic Places (#89001825) due to its historical integrity.

Pickerel Lake is a lake in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It is an Oxbow lake of the Mississippi River in Lilydale, Minnesota. The Omaha Road Bridge Number 15 crosses the Northeastern end. Pickerel Lake was named for the pickerel fish, commonly known as the Northern pike, native to its waters.
