The George W. Wentworth House is a large Queen Anne style home, that was built in 1887 in West Saint Paul in the U.S. state of Minnesota. Wentworth was an emigre from England who traded in horses; he was also involved in local politics, working to organize the city of South Saint Paul. In the late 1880s, a dispute arose between the farmers in the western portion of the city, whom Wentworth represented, and the people living around the stockyards in the eastern portion of the city. West Saint Paul disjoined from South Saint Paul in 1889 and Wentworth remained politically active in the new city. After his death in 1908, the house remained vacant for many years before being renovated by subsequent owners. The hard work of current owner Daniel W. Owned since 1987-current day.

BlueSky was the first charter school in Minnesota to be completely online, following on from Mindquest, which was the first online public high school. When BlueSky opened, a law was passed that made online schools have to spend at least two days per week in a traditional classroom with a teacher, but BlueSky was already completely online so it was allowed to stay. The law was later repealed. In June 2005, BlueSky had its first graduating class. Seventeen students graduated, and two graduation ceremonies were held: one in Bloomington for students from the metro area, and one in International Falls for students from the northern part of Minnesota. In January 2006, BlueSky held a mid-year graduation ceremony in Saint Paul for seven students that had finished their graduation requirements at the end of the first semester.

Humboldt Senior High School is a public high school located in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States which serves students in grades 6-12. The school is the smallest of the nine high schools in the Saint Paul Public Schools district with an enrollment of 858 students. It is the only high school located on the West Side of Saint Paul. The school was founded in 1889 and is one of the oldest in Saint Paul. A founding member of the Saint Paul City Conference, Humboldt fields regular and adapted sports teams. Humboldt has a large percentage of low-income students and has struggled on national standardized tests. The school shares facilities with Humboldt Junior High School and both schools have a program focus on environmental studies and career preparation. The school offers a number of college prep classes and has several programs to help low-income students prepare for and attend college.

The Rau/Strong House is a historic house and accompanying carriage barn in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. It is located in Saint Paul's West Side neighborhood. It was built 1884–86, with an eclectic Italianate/Second Empire/Eastlake movement design featuring a mansard roof and hammered quoin blocks. The Rau/Strong House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975 for its architectural significance as a finely crafted "urban estate" representative of Saint Paul's late-19th-century middle class residences.

The River to River Greenway is a paved multi-use trail in development in Dakota County, Minnesota, United States. Riverview Branch Library is a branch of the Saint Paul Public Library serving the West Side neighborhood of Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. It is a Carnegie library built in 1916. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984 for having local significance in the themes of architecture and education. It was nominated for being one of only three Carnegie libraries built in Saint Paul, one of the first projects of Saint Paul city architect Charles A. Hausler, one of the last American libraries built with Carnegie Foundation funding, and for being an important neighborhood landmark in Beaux-Arts style.

St. Paul Union Pacific Rail Bridge, also known as the Hoffman Swing Bridge, is a swing bridge that spans the Mississippi River between South Saint Paul, Minnesota and Saint Paul, Minnesota in the United States. It was built in 1910 by the St. Paul Bridge and Terminal Railway, and was rebuilt in 1925, after a flood in 1951, and again in 1982.

St. Matthew's School in the West Side neighborhood of Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA, is a 1902 school designed by John F. Fisher; it originally served German immigrants and now serves the local Hispanic community. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building is now used by the West Side Summit charter school.

The Colorado Street Bridge also known as Bridge L-8803 is a masonry and brick arch bridge in Saint Paul, Minnesota's West Side neighborhood. It is 58 feet (18 m) wide and consists of a single oblique span of 70 feet 6 inches (21.49 m) that was built with the arch courses running parallel to the abutments, leading to a weaker structure than other skew arch construction methods, known as a false skew arch. It was designed in 1888 by Andreas W. Munster of the Saint Paul Engineer's Office and is now restricted to pedestrian traffic.

The Dwight and Clara Watson House is a Victorian home designed by Cass Gilbert in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is one of the few surviving early-career works of Gilbert that showcases the detailed and eclectic style of an emerging master architect.

St. Paul Downtown Airport (IATA: STP, ICAO: KSTP, FAA LID: STP), also known as Holman Field, is an airport just across the Mississippi River from downtown Saint Paul, Minnesota. It is one of several reliever airports in the Twin Cities operated by the Metropolitan Airports Commission. The airport has three runways and serves aircraft operated by corporations in the local area, a flight training school and the Minnesota Army National Guard aviation unit, as well as transient general aviation aircraft. The airport is home to an installation of the Minnesota Army National Guard. Two properties at the airport are listed on the National Register of Historic Places: the 1939 Holman Field Administration Building and the 1942 Riverside Hangar.

The Edward and Elizabeth Heimbach House and Carriage House is an 1890, high Victorian style, two-story, 2,556-square-foot (237.5 m2) brick house in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States, in the West Side neighborhood. The house has an octagonal tower and dome and a detached carriage house.The house was nominated to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1983. The Heimbach House received reference number #83004628 and the listing code DR, meaning "Date Received" and nomination pending, but the listing was never finalized.
