Treffiagat (French pronunciation: [tʁefjaɡat]; Breton: Triagad), also known as Treffiagat-Léchiagat, is a commune in the Finistère department of Brittany in north-western France.

Plomeur (French pronunciation: [plɔmœʁ]; Breton: Ploveur) is a commune in the Bigouden region of Finistère department of Brittany in north-western France. Plomeur is situated between the larger communes of Penmarc'h to the South-West, Guilvinec and Treffiagat to the South, as well as Pont-l'Abbé to the East. The beaches on the Baie d'Audierne are shared with the community of Tréguennec to the north and Pors-Carn (part of the commune of Penmarc'h) to the south. The beach is divided by the Pointe de la Torche, a promontory and rocky granite outcropping as well as a prehistoric settlement and burial site registered as a historic monument.

Pointe de la Torche (Breton: Beg an Dorchenn) is a promontory located at the southeastern end of the Baie d'Audierne in the commune of Plomeur in the Bigouden region of Finistère, France. It is an officially recognised natural site and at the top of the promontory is a prehistoric settlement and burial site that is registered as a historic monument.

Point Penmarc'h, often spelled Point Penmarch, or in French Pointe de Penmarc'h, is the extremity of a small peninsula in Finistère department in Brittany in northwestern France, and the northern limit of the Bay of Biscay. It contains the fortified remains of a town which was of considerable importance from the 14th to the 16th centuries, and included today's commune of Penmarc'h, which covers the harbours of Saint-Guénolé and Kerity. The town owed its prosperity to its cod-banks, the disappearance of which together with the discovery of the Newfoundland cod-banks and the pillage of the place by the bandit La Fontenelle in 1595 contributed to its decline. The Phare d'Eckmühl, a lighthouse with a light visible for 60 nautical miles (111 km; 69 mi), stands on the point.

Its borders were modified at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. The Phare d'Eckmühl, also known as Point Penmarc'h Light or Saint-Pierre Light, is an active lighthouse in Penmarc'h, Finistère department, Brittany, France. At a height of 213 feet (65 m) it is one of the tallest lighthouses in the world. It is located at the port of Saint-Pierre, on Point Penmarc'h, on the southwestern corner of Finistère and the northwestern entrance to the Bay of Biscay. The tower was built following a decision on April 3, 1882 to modernize the coastal lighthouses and raise the focal height of the Penmarc'h lighthouse, built in 1835, to 60m. However, engineers reported that the old tower could not support such an extension, so in 1890 it was decided to build a new lighthouse, the plans of which were completed on April 3, 1882. Funding came unexpectedly on 9 December 1892 when Adélaïde-Louise Davout, Marquise de Blocqueville, left substantial funds for the new tower in her will, provided the lighthouse was dedicated to the memory of her father, a marshal of the First French Empire Louis Nicolas Davout, who was "Prince d'Eckmühl", a title he won after the Battle of Eckmühl. The tower was inaugurated on October 17, 1897.The centennial of the lighthouse was celebrated in 1997.The tower is open to the public. Reaching the top takes climbing 307 steps, 227 stone steps followed by an iron staircase.

Bigouden (Breton: Bro-Vigoudenn; French: Pays Bigouden), historically known as Cap Caval, is, along the Bay of Audierne, the most south-western area of Bro Kernev in Brittany, south-west of Quimper, defined since 1790 in the French department of Finistère. The designation was an informal label taken from the name of the distinctive headdress traditionally worn by the local women. By the end of the 19th century, the name then slipped to designate the women of the area, then to describe all its inhabitants. It has since been formalised within the administration and promotion of the region.

Pont-l'Abbé (French pronunciation: [pɔ̃ labe]; Breton: Pont-'n-Abad, "Abbot's bridge") is a commune in the Finistère department of Brittany in north-western France. The self-styled capital of Pays Bigouden (roughly the region between the river Odet and the Bay of Audierne), Pont-l'Abbé was founded in the 14th century by a monk of Loctudy who built the first bridge across the river estuary, hence the name. The same monk also built the first castle.
