Heng Fa Chuen

Heng Fa Chuen is a station on the Island line of the MTR in Hong Kong. The station is located in the heart of the Heng Fa Chuen housing development. The livery of the station is orange-red. It is the only station on the line that is on the ground level, and among the only two stations which is not underground. It is one of three Island line stations that have opposing side platforms, as opposed to island platforms or side platforms on different levels of a station. (The others are Sheung Wan station and Kennedy Town station.) The MTR depot for the Island line, the Chai Wan Depot, is located to the northeast of the station. Automatic platform gates were installed in this station in April 2011. Before the opening of the Tseung Kwan O line, Heng Fa Chuen station was the easternmost railway station in Hong Kong. It remains the easternmost station on Hong Kong Island. The next station on the eastbound of the line, Chai Wan station, which is also the eastern terminus of the line, is located to its westsouthwest.

Pak Sha Wan (Chinese: 白沙灣), or Lyee Mun Bay (Chinese: 鯉魚門灣), was a bay to the north of Chai Wan on Hong Kong Island, with Lei Yue Mun, Tseung Kwan O and Tathong Channel opposite. It was reclaimed to construct Heng Fa Chuen, one of the largest private housing estates on Hong Kong Island, MTR Heng Fa Chuen station and Chai Wan Depot.

Lingnan Secondary School (嶺南中學) is a secondary school located in Heng Fa Chuen, Hong Kong. It was established on Stubbs Road, and moved to its present campus in 1999. Different from other education institutions in the town, Lingnan Secondary School's students do not necessarily come from this town.

The Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence is a museum in Hong Kong, located in a former coastal defence fort overlooking the Lei Yue Mun channel, near Shau Kei Wan on Hong Kong Island. The fort was built by the British in 1887, intended to defend the eastern approaches to Victoria Harbour. The total area of the museum is 34,200 square metres (368,000 sq ft). An exhibition entitled "600 years of Coastal Defence" is held permanently in the museum, which tells the story of the defence of the Hong Kong coastline from the time of the Ming Dynasty, through the First and Second Opium Wars and the Battle of Hong Kong, through to today.

Sai Wan Shan (Chinese: 西灣山) is a hill in northern Hong Kong Island. It has a height of 197 metres (646 ft) above sea level. The hill is the site of former military installations used by the British Colonial administration. Now, the installations have been turned into a leisure facility called Lei Yue Mun Park and Holiday Village.

Lei Yue Mun is a short channel in Hong Kong. It lies between Junk Bay and Victoria Harbour, separating Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. The channel is an important passage for the city, forming the eastern entrance of Victoria Harbour. The lands around the channel are also called Lei Yue Mun. On Kowloon side, it is famous for its seafood market and restaurants in the fishing villages. On the Hong Kong Island side, it has former military defence facilities.

Chai Wan (; Chinese: 柴灣), formerly known as Sai Wan (西灣), lies at the east end of the urban area of Hong Kong Island next to Shau Kei Wan. The area is administratively part of the Eastern District, and is a mosaic of industrial and residential areas. The population was 186,505 in 2001.

The Yuk Wong Temple aka. Yuk Wong Kung Din (Chinese: 玉皇宮殿) or Yuk Wong Bo Din (玉皇寶殿) is a temple located at No. 26A A Kung Ngam Village Lane, A Kung Ngam, Shau Kei Wan, Hong Kong. The temple is dedicated to the Jade Emperor (玉皇, Yuk Wong in Cantonese). Two side altars are dedicated to Tin Hau (left of the main altar) and Kwun Yam (right).The temple is managed by the Chinese Temples Committee. The interior of the temple can be explored with Google Street View.

Chai Wan Road (Chinese: 柴灣道; Cantonese Yale: chaai4 waan1 dou6) located in Hong Kong, is one of the major roads in Chai Wan on Hong Kong Island. It runs from Shau Kei Wan to Chai Wan through Chai Wan Gap; with one of the steepest inclines in Hong Kong on either side, with signs posted 1 in 10 gradient. It is therefore popularly referred to as Cheung Meng Che (長命斜), or long-lived incline. The road was the only way towards Chai Wan before the opening of the Island Eastern Corridor and MTR Island line. Currently, it is still the only pedestrian route connecting to Chai Wan.

Aldrich Bay (Chinese: 愛秩序灣), named after Major Edward Aldrich (Chinese: 愛秩序少校), was formerly a bay in the north shore on the Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong. It is now reclaimed and is a housing area outside the area of Shau Kei Wan, neighbouring A Kung Ngam and Lei King Wan. Outside Aldrich Bay, it is the Shau Kei Wan Typhoon Shelter. It is not a small community. It contains Oi Tung Estate, Tung Yuk Court, Aldrich Garden and other private housings, with several primary school and secondary school. It is administratively part of the Eastern District.

Shau Kei Wan East Government Secondary School (SKWEGSS, Chinese: 筲箕灣東官立中學) is a co-educational secondary school operated by the Government of Hong Kong in Hong Kong. Located in Shau Kei Wan, there are a total of 25 classrooms and 17 special rooms with a student enrollment of 660. The school was founded in 1963 and its medium of instruction is Chinese.

Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital, known as Eastern Hospital or Youde Hospital is a acute district general hospital in Chai Wan, Hong Kong. The hospital opened on 15 October 1993 with 1829 beds and staff of over 3000. It replaced the original Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital in Mid-Levels in Hong Kong Island and moved to Chai Wan. Assigned to the Hong Kong eastern hospital cluster and replaced the other Nethersole hospital, which relocated to the New Territories. It is affiliated with the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, the University of Hong Kong, providing clinical attachment opportunities for its medical students.
