Lander, Wyoming

The Lander Downtown Historic District comprises the commercial core of Lander, Wyoming. The district includes 16 buildings listed as contributing to the historic district, including a series of commercial buildings, the Noble Hotel, the grand Theatre and the Stockgrower's Bar. The Federal Building is included, and is individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places as well. Most date between 1890 and 1910. Most earlier buildings burned or were torn down and replaced by more permanent masonry structures. By 1910 an oil boom had begun in central Wyoming, providing an incentive to build substantial buildings. The district comprises most of the north side of Main Street between Second Street and Fourth Street, with three properties on the south side and one facing Lincoln Street at Third Street.The district was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 5, 1987.

The U.S. Post Office and Courthouse in Lander, Wyoming was built in 1907 as part of a facilities improvement program by the United States Post Office Department. The post office in Lander was nominated to the National Register of Historic Places as part of a thematic study comprising twelve Wyoming post offices built to standardized USPO plans in the early twentieth century. Lander's post office is unique among the group because it incorporates court facilities.The building is now used as offices for a rehabilitation and disabilities advocacy group.

Jackson Park Town Site Addition Brick Row is a group of three historic houses and two frame garages located on the west side of the 300 block of South Third Street in Lander, Wyoming. Two of the homes were built in 1917, and the third in 1919. The properties were added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 27, 2003.

Wyoming Catholic College (WCC) is a private Catholic college in Lander, Wyoming. WCC is the only Catholic college or university in the state.

Hunt Field (IATA: LND, ICAO: KLND, FAA LID: LND) is a city-owned, public-use airport located one nautical mile (2 km) south of the central business district of Lander, a city in Fremont County, Wyoming, United States. It is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a general aviation facility.

Lander Valley High School (LVHS) is the primary high school located in Lander, Wyoming at 305 Baldwin Creek Rd, Lander, Wyoming 82520. The school is part of the Fremont County District #1. The school district serves Lander and outlying communities including Hudson, Jeffrey City, Atlantic City, and the surrounding area, which also includes Wind River Indian Reservation. The school is accredited by the Wyoming Department of Education and AdvancED (North Central).

KOFR-LP (107.1 FM) is a low-power FM radio station broadcasting a Religious format. Licensed to Lander, Wyoming, US, the station is currently owned by Church of the Holy Rosary.

KDLY (97.5 FM, "97.5 The Brand") is a radio station broadcasting a country music format. Licensed to Lander, Wyoming, United States, the station serves the Riverton area and the Wind River Reservation as well as most of Central Wyoming. The station is currently owned by Will Hill, through licensee Kairos Broadcasting, LLC.On October 3, 2022, KDLY changed their format from classic hits to country, branded as "97.5 The Brand".

The Middle Fork Popo Agie River is a river in Wyoming in the United States. The river is 54 miles (87 km) long. The river is sometimes referred to as simply the 'Middle Fork'. The river is part of the Popo Agie Watershed and from its headwaters in the Wind River Range until it joins with the North Fork of the Popo Agie River in the Wind River Basin, the river and its tributaries irrigate roughly 11,503 acres.The river is notable for passing underground through a sinkhole in Sinks Canyon State Park, only to emerge several hundred yards downstream at "the rise." The ground distance is not far, but tests with dye have shown it takes the water many hours to flow through the underground passage.

The North Fork Popo Agie River serves as part of the boundary between the Wind River Indian Reservation and Fremont County Wyoming. The river's headwaters are at Lonesome Lake in the Wind River Range, and it flows eastward until its end near Lander, Wyoming when it joins the Middle Fork Popo Agie River.
