The Thomas Chubbuck Jr. House is a historic house in Hingham, Massachusetts. Built in 1778, it is the best-preserved three-quarter Cape style house in the town, and is further noted for its long association with locally important Chubbuck and Gardner families. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

The Avedis Zildjian Company, simply known as Zildjian (), is a musical instrument manufacturer specializing in cymbals and other percussion instruments. Founded by the ethnic Armenian Zildjian family in the 17th-century Ottoman Empire, the company relocated to the United States in the 20th century. Today, it is the largest cymbal and drumstick maker in the world. The company was founded in Istanbul in 1623 by Avedis Zildjian, an Armenian. Zildjian is now based in Norwell, Massachusetts. Zildjian is the oldest manufacturer of musical instruments in the world as well as one of the oldest continuously operating companies in the world. Zildjian sells cymbals, drumsticks, percussion mallets and other drum accessories under the Zildjian, Vic Firth and Balter Mallet brands.

The South Shore Charter Public School (SSCPS) is a public charter school located in Norwell, Massachusetts, United States. SSCPS serves students from grades K–12. The K–12 system is divided as follows: Level I (K–2), Level II (3–4), Level III (5–6), Level IV (7–8), and High School (9–12). The school's student population, as of the 2022–2023 academic school year is 1,009 students in grades Kindergarten-12.To become a student of the school, one must apply and be selected in a lottery process. Spots that have the most attention are generally in the lower grades whereas high school (especially 11th and 12th grade) generally has the shortest waiting list for new students.

The school itself is located near the Hanover/Norwell village of Assinippi, as it educates students from the towns of Hanover, Norwell, Scituate, Hanson, Pembroke, Rockland, Whitman, Abington, and other Plymouth County towns.

Rockland High School is a historic former high school building located at 349 Union Street in Rockland, Massachusetts. It was built in 1909 and served as the town's second high school until 1928. It was later converted to lower grades and was known as McKinley School. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. The building is now a community center - housing day care, pre-school and meeting spaces for Girl Scouts. The building housed Rockland's senior center prior to the construction of a new senior center on Plain Street.

The South Hingham Historic District is a historic district roughly along Main St., from Cushing St. to Tower Brook Road in Hingham, Massachusetts. This area of Main Street is predominantly residential, and is distinctive for its boulevard-like character, which was envisioned in town planning documents as early as the late 17th century. A significant feature of the area is the presence of conservation land behind the properties on much of this stretch of Main Street, which has effectively throttled large-scale development. These properties include the Jacob Meadow, Mildred Cushing Woods, and Crooked Meadow River Area. The oldest structure in the district is the 1650 Edward Wilder House at 597 Main Street.The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

Jacobs Pond is a 59-acre (240,000 m2) pond in Norwell, Massachusetts. The pond is located alongside Assinippi, a village in neighboring Hanover. Route 123 runs along the southern shore of the pond. The pond is the headwaters of Third Herring Brook, a tributary of the North River which is the town line between Norwell and the eastern boundary of Hanover. The water quality is impaired due to non-native aquatic plants and non-native fish in the pond. The South Shore Natural Science Center is located near this pond. The infamous “Jacobs Monster” is also rumored to lurk beneath the depths of the water.

The Rockland Memorial Library is the public library of Rockland, Massachusetts. It is located at 382 Union Street, in a Carnegie-funded Classical Revival building, which was built in 1903 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The library features several community oriented activities, such as raffles, book-release parties, and "Art in the Rotunda".

The Phoenix Building is a historic commercial building located at 315–321 Union Street in Rockland, Massachusetts.

The Rockland Trust Company building is a historic bank building and a branch of the Rockland Trust Company at 288 Union Street in Rockland, Massachusetts. The bank was founded in 1907, and was originally in offices across the street before commission this building in 1917. It is a two-story brick building designed by Boston architect Thomas M. James, a well-known specialist in bank design. A single-story addition was added in 1923, which was raised to two stories in 1947. A three-story addition was added in 1947. The original building and additions are all built of red brick laid in Flemish bond. The main entry is recessed behind a pair of massive columns, which are flanked on the facade by a pair of pilasters, which support an entablature that is topped by a brick parapet and granite balustrade. The bank's corporate headquarters were housed here until 2008. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

St. Albert the Great Church is a Roman Catholic parish located in Weymouth, Massachusetts. Its pastor is Father Charles J. Higgins, VF, and the parochial vicar is Father Peter J. Casey. It rose to recognition in 2004 after parishioners staged a 24-hour vigil at the church in response to announcements by the archdiocese that it would close. The parish shares its priests with nearby St. Francis Xavier Church and Masses are shared between the two parishes.

Hanover High School is a public school located in Hanover, Massachusetts, United States. It encompasses grades 9–12. Hanover High is a continuation for Hanover Middle School, and before that either Center School or Cedar School. The original Hanover High School building was opened in 1958. The first graduating class was 1959. Sylvester School formerly served as the high school. The current Hanover High School building was opened in 2011.Hanover's colors are blue and gold, and their mascot is the Hawks. Until 2021, HHS's mascot was the Indians, and was changed to the Hawks, thanks to a contest that won against 400 submissions. After another contest, the name "Sylvester" was chosen to be the name of the Hanover Hawk mascot. The name Sylvester goes back to Edmund Q. Sylvester, a prominent resident of Hanover during the later half of the 1800s. The Sylvester family owned land around the old Hanover shipyards, and had their own farm as well.
