French Creek is a stream in the U.S. state of Washington. It is a tributary of Snohomish River. A share of the early settlers being of French Canadian descent caused the name to be selected.Another French Creek is located within the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, and is home to wilderness hiking trails.

The Pilchuck River (Lushootseed: dxʷkʷiƛ̕əb) is a river in Snohomish County in the U.S. state of Washington. It is a tributary of the Snohomish River. The name is derived from the Chinook Jargon pilpil ("blood", "red") and chuck ("water"), or "red water". The Lushootseed name means "flowing red," kʷiƛ̕ being an archaic term for "red" in Northern Lushootseed.

Based on per capita income, one of the more reliable measures of affluence, Cathcart ranks 45th of 522 areas in the state of Washington to be ranked. Cathcart was named for Isaac Cathcart, a lumberman, entrepreneur, and Snohomish County pioneer.

Harvey Airfield, also known as Harvey Field (FAA LID: S43), is a privately owned, public-use airport in the northwest United States, located in Snohomish, Washington, northeast of Seattle. The airfield has one 2,671-foot (814 m) asphalt runway, one 2,430-foot (740 m) turf runway, and fourteen hangar bays. It covers an area of approximately 145 acres (0.23 sq mi; 0.59 km2), and is home to 261 based aircraft, including 9 helicopters and 9 multi-engine planes, as well as 19 businesses including a hot-air balloon charter business.It is included in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021, in which it is categorized as a regional reliver facility.

Lord Hill Regional Park is a regional country park located in Snohomish County, Washington. The park features miles of wilderness trails for equestrians and mountain bikers, as well as hikers. The park grounds cover 1,300 acres (5.3 km2) of wilderness forest. Small ponds and wetlands are located within the park site. A large population of animals, birds, and fish inhabit the park.The park sits on a ridge that runs parallel to the Snohomish River. The ridge, which reaches nearly 800 feet (240 m) at Bald Hill, consists of vertical basalt outcroppings that rise from the river floor. Settlers arrived when Mitchell Lord purchased 80 acres (320,000 m2) on the hill in 1878 and started dairying on his 130-acre farm in 1884. His home still remains on the park grounds. By the mid-1930s, the area attracted the logging industry, and all the old-growth was cut down. In the 1980s, some second-growth timber was harvested by the Department of Natural Resources. At present, the park is under the management of Snohomish County Parks and Recreation Department but maintained by a group of volunteers, for the department lacks the resources to staff the park full-time.

Snohomish is a city in Snohomish County, Washington, United States. The population was 9,098 at the 2010 census. It is located on the Snohomish River, southeast of Everett and northwest of Monroe. Snohomish lies at the intersection of U.S. Route 2 and State Route 9. The city's airport, Harvey Airfield, is located south of downtown and used primarily for general aviation. The city was founded in 1859 and named Cadyville after pioneer settler E. F. Cady and renamed to Snohomish in 1871. It served as county seat of Snohomish County from 1861 to 1897, when the county government was relocated to Everett. Snohomish has a downtown district that is renowned for its collection of antique shops and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Snohomish County Centennial Trail is a 30-mile-long (48 km) rail trail in Snohomish County, Washington, connecting the cities of Snohomish, Lake Stevens, and Arlington to Skagit County along the corridor of Washington State Route 9. The trail, administered by Snohomish County Parks and Recreation, is on the former right-of-way of the Seattle, Lake Shore and Eastern Railway and comprises a 10-foot-wide (3.0 m) non-motorized trail and a 6-foot-wide (1.8 m) equestrian trail. The first segment of the corridor was opened in 1989, the centennial of the statehood of Washington, and the final segment between Arlington and the Skagit County line was opened in 2013.

Snohomish High School (SHS) is a secondary school located in the Snohomish School District, in Snohomish, Washington, United States. SHS, built for 1200 students, contains 1,689 9th–12th graders (as of 2016–17). The school serves primarily those students living north of the Snohomish River (nearby Glacier Peak High School, serving those students living south of the river).

The Skykomish River is a 29-mile (47 km) long river in the U.S. state of Washington which drains the west side of the Cascade Mountains in the southeast section of Snohomish County and the northeast corner of King County. The river starts with the confluence of the North Fork Skykomish River and South Fork Skykomish River approximately one mile west of Index, then flowing northwesterly towards Puget Sound. It is joined by the Sultan River and the Wallace River at Sultan. It then meets the Snoqualmie River to form the Snohomish River at Monroe. The Snohomish River continues along the river valley eventually dumping into Port Gardner Bay on Possession Sound (part of Puget Sound). The name "Skykomish" comes from the Lushootseed name of the Skykomish people, sq̓ixʷəbš, meaning "upriver people." It is sometimes referred to by the nickname "Sky River" or "The Sky".

Glacier Peak High School is a high school in Snohomish, Washington, United States, operated by the Snohomish School District. Glacier Peak was opened in 2008 to relieve overcrowding at Snohomish High School; the 230,000-square-foot (21,000 m2) facility designed by NAC Architecture and built by Lydig Construction. The site is adjacent to the former Cathcart Landfill, which opened in 1980 and closed in 1992 after reaching capacity. The high school was built on supplemental land that had been reserved for a future expansion but was later sold to the Snohomish School District.The school opened in an almost completed state on September 3, 2008, for grades 9–11. It was completely finished by January 2009. Grades 9-12 have attended GPHS since September 2009, and the first senior class graduated on June 17, 2010. GPHS has a large arts department; students can choose from performing and fine arts classes. A performing arts center provides a venue for GPHS's performances, including plays and musicals as well as jazz band, concert band, and choir concerts.
