Fitchburg, Wisconsin

Fitchburg Center is a neighborhood in the city of Fitchburg, Dane County, Wisconsin, United States. It is located at the intersection of Lacy Road and Fish Hatchery Road (County Highway D). Once part of the Town of Fitchburg, it became part of the city of Fitchburg when it was incorporated in 1983. Fitchburg Center now forms the core of the city of Fitchburg.

The Wisconsin Department of Tourism is a governmental agency of the U.S. state of Wisconsin responsible for marketing and promoting the state as a travel destination. The Department is led by a secretary appointed by the governor of Wisconsin with the advice and consent of the Wisconsin Senate. The current secretary is Anne Sayers, who was appointed by Governor Tony Evers in December 2020.

The University of Wisconsin–Madison Arboretum is a teaching and research facility of the University of Wisconsin–Madison and the site of historic research in ecological restoration. In addition to its 1,260 acres (5 km2) in Madison, Wisconsin (located about four miles from the main campus of the University of Wisconsin–Madison), the Arboretum also manages 520 acres (210 ha) of remnant forests and prairies throughout Wisconsin. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2021, in recognition for its role as a pioneer in the field of ecological restoration.

The McCoy Farmhouse is a historic house located at 2925 Syene Road in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. The Italianate farmhouse was built in 1861 on an early Wisconsin tobacco farm. From 1949 to 1978 microbiologist Elizabeth McCoy lived there. In 1980 the house was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

The Nakoma Historic District is located in Madison, Wisconsin. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

The station airs a schedule of news and talk programs from Wisconsin Public Radio, NPR, American Public Media, Public Radio International, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and the BBC. The same call letters are used by WHA-TV in Madison, the flagship station for PBS Wisconsin.

The Old Spring Tavern is located in Madison, Wisconsin. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Madison is a town in Dane County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 6,279 at the 2010 census. The town, although once larger, is now broken up into discontinuous fragments by the much larger city of Madison, and is set to go out of existence by 2022. The majority of the town's current territory is situated along the Highway 12/18, comprising several neighborhoods situated between the south side of the city of Madison, and the north side of the city of Fitchburg. The town also has territory on the north side of Madison near the border with Maple Bluff, as well as a few lots on the west side of Madison near Whitney Way. The Alliant Energy Center of Dane County is situated within the Town of Madison. Despite its status as an unincorporated community, the Town of Madison provides a variety of services to its residents which are typically only found in incorporated cities and villages, including police, fire and emergency medical services; sewer and water utilities; and three public parks.

The John Mann House is an Italianate-styled farmhouse built in 1856 in Fitchburg, Wisconsin, United States. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 8, 1982. Since 1980, the building has housed Quivey's Grove restaurant.
