Leopold Township, Perry County, Indiana

Perry Central Junior-Senior High School is a public high school located in Leopold, Indiana. It formed in 1962 as a consolidation of Leopold High School, Oil Township High School, and Tobinsport High School. Initially the Oil Township High building was used for the consolidated school. In 1966 the current facility opened.

Perry County is a county located in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Indiana. As of 2020, the population was 19,170. The county seat is Tell City. It is the hilliest county as well as one of the most forested counties in Indiana as it features more than 60,000 acres (240 km2) of Hoosier National Forest. The Ohio River Scenic Byway along Indiana State Road 66 runs along the southern border of the county while Interstate 64 traverses the northern portion of the county. Connecting the two is Indiana State Road 37. The county features three incorporated communities: Tell City (2009 population 7,473), Cannelton (2009 population 1,130) and Troy (2009 population 379). Each is located in Troy Township which is situated along the south western corner of the county. Coordinated efforts with County officials led to the acquisition of an abandoned rail line that has since been reactivated as the County-owned Hoosier Southern Rail Road. Managed by the Perry County Port Authority, the 22-mile (35 km) short-line rail road connects the Perry County River Port with the Norfolk Southern Rail Road.

Branchville Correctional Facility is an Indiana Department of Correction state prison for men, located in Branchville, Perry County, Indiana, on the southern edge of the state. The prison is a medium-security facility opened in 1982 and has a capacity of 1,530. As of 2019, the prison housed 1,448 inmates, and employed 256 staff.

It lies along CR40 northeast of the city of Tell City, the county seat of Perry County. Although Branchville is unincorporated, it has a post office, with the ZIP code of 47514. The Branchville Correctional Facility is located near the community.

Jacob Rickenbaugh House is a historic home located in Hoosier National Forest, Oil Township, Perry County, Indiana. It was built in 1874, and is a two-story, "T"-plan dwelling constructed of ashlar sandstone blocks in the late Greek Revival style. It has a low pitched gable roof and side porches on each side of the rear ell. From 1870 to 1961, its parlor housed the Celina Post Office. It was acquired by the United States Forest Service in 1968.: 2, 5–6  It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. The house has been restored and is open regularly for self-guided tours in the spring-fall season.
