The Ukrainian Association of Washington State (UAWS) (Ukrainian: Асоціація українців штату Вашингтон, formerly The Ukrainian American Club of Washington Ukrainian: Українсько - Американський клуб Вашингтону) is a regional non-profit organization that represents cultural and social interests of Americans of Ukrainian origin, promotes understanding between Americans and Ukrainians, and supports Ukrainian cultural and scientific centers worldwide.Founded in 1971, the association organizes cultural and political events for residents of the Northwestern United States and British Columbia. Traditionally, the association participates in local and international cultural events and sponsors annual regional celebrations for the Independence Day of Ukraine and the birthday of Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko.UAWS maintains relations with the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America, the Ukrainian Embassy and Consulate, the Ukrainian diaspora in Canada, Ukrainian churches of various denominations, and other regional ethnic organizations. According to different estimates, the association represents between 55,000 and 100,000 Americans of Ukrainian origin.

Mountlake Terrace High School is a public high school located in Mountlake Terrace, Washington, United States. Mountlake Terrace HS is known for its Jazz Band and basketball program, which has won the Wesco Championship eight times. It is the third largest high school in the Edmonds School District. Mountlake Terrace HS participates in the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association, having reclassified from 3A to 2A at the start of 2016–2017 school year.

Alderwood Manor is a census-designated place (CDP) in Snohomish County, Washington, United States. The population was 10,198 at the 2020 census. Prior to the 2000 census, Alderwood Manor was counted as part of the Alderwood Manor-Bothell North CDP.

The Lynnwood Event Center is a suburban convention center located in Lynnwood, Washington, near Seattle. The $31 million facility opened in 2005 and is managed by Oak View Group (OVG). The convention center was first proposed in the 1980s, but was rejected by voters on three occasions; the formation of a public facilities district in 1999 funded its construction.

Mountlake Terrace is a suburban city in Snohomish County, Washington, United States. It lies on the southern border of the county, adjacent to Shoreline and Lynnwood, and is 13 miles (21 km) north of Seattle. The city had a population of 19,909 people counted in the 2010 census. Mountlake Terrace was founded in 1949 by real estate developers on the site of a disused airfield, intending to provide low-cost housing for veterans. Within five years, the community had grown to over 5,000 people and was incorporated as a city in 1954 to provide municipal services. An industrial park was developed at the northwest corner of the city, which was connected by Interstate 5 after it opened in 1965. Mountlake Terrace originally had several small shopping centers that declined due to the local economy and a pair of arsons in 1990. The city government began developing a downtown revitalization plan with mixed-use buildings in the 2000s, with hopes of growing beyond a bedroom community for Seattle commuters. The Mountlake Terrace Transit Center, a major bus hub, opened in 2009 and is planned to have Link light rail service in 2024. The city has several parks, including access to Lake Ballinger, and hosts an annual summer festival that is part of Seafair.

The Harry Vanderbilt Wurdemann House, also known as the Wurdemann House, is a private home in Lake Forest Park, Washington. Built in 1914 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1990, it was one of the first houses in Lake Forest Park.

Lynnwood Transit Center, also known as Lynnwood TC, is a bus station and future light rail station in Lynnwood, Washington. It is the largest transit hub in southwestern Snohomish County and is served by Community Transit and Sound Transit Express. The transit center also includes a parking garage with 1,670 spaces and bicycle facilities. In 2024, Lynnwood Transit Center will become the northern terminus of Sound Transit's Link light rail system; the 1 Line and 2 Line will serve the Lynnwood City Center station as part of the Lynnwood Link Extension. The Link extension was approved in 2008 as part of the Sound Transit 2 ballot measure and began construction in 2019. The Stride bus rapid transit system will also terminate at the station, connecting it with areas along Interstate 405.

Bothell West is a census-designated place (CDP) in Snohomish County, Washington, United States. The population was 16,607 at the 2010 census. Bothell West is one of several CDPs that were created out of the former North Creek CDP in 2010.Bothell West, along with Bothell East, are recognized as part of unincorporated Bothell.

Town Center at Lake Forest Park (formerly Lake Forest Park Towne Centre) is a multi-purpose shopping center that also serves as the community hub for the city of Lake Forest Park, Washington. Built in 1964, the center is located on the eastern side of Lake Forest Park, on the western shore of Lake Washington in a suburb of Seattle on Bothell Way NE beside City Hall. The southeast side of the center abuts the Burke-Gilman Trail. Town Center at Lake Forest Park "is a true community center that draws a regional crowd and is home to several unique and organic local stores which collectively cater to the educated customer, thus serving as a daily destination. Friends of Third Place Commons offers over 1,200 community events throughout the calendar year at Lake Forest Park Towne Centre, attracting patrons from all over the Puget Sound region." The Third Place Commons is a non-profit organization that books community events through public donation.The center was renovated in 1995 to increase pedestrian traffic and since Madison Marquette's requisition in 2006, has been undergoing smaller renovations, including the addition of a Ross Dress for Less and a Planet Fitness which both opened in 2011.Town Center at Lake Forest Park is anchored by Third Place Books, Albertson's grocery store, Rite Aid, Ross Dress for Less, and Planet Fitness and features almost 250,000 square feet (23,000 m2) of gross leasable area on its 18 acres. Around 40 tenants are currently open and operating at Lake Forest Park Towne Centre. Along with the bookstore, Third Place Books has a food court and coffee stand.Third Place Books, a general interest bookseller, is one of the tenants of the center and serves as a community center for Lake Forest Park hosting free public events and other community activities. The bookstore provides access to print on demand books via the Espresso Book Machine.Each Sunday, starting in May and ending in October, the Third Place Commons Farmers Market is held in the LFPTC parking lot.

Lake Forest Park is a suburban city in King County, Washington, United States, located northeast of Seattle. It was developed in the 20th century as a bedroom community with single-family housing on medium to large-sized lots. Less than 4% of the city's land is zoned commercial, largely concentrated in one location, and there are no industrial areas. The city is situated at the northwest end of Lake Washington along State Route 522, which provides connections to Seattle and Bothell. Lake Forest Park includes several parks and nature reserves, access to the Burke–Gilman Trail, and organized summer events. The population of the city was 12,598 at the 2010 census.

The Sammamish River (also known as Sammamish Slough) flows through north King County, Washington for about 14 miles (23 km), draining Lake Sammamish into Lake Washington. Along its course, the Sammamish River flows through Redmond, Woodinville, Bothell, and Kenmore. The river is named after the native people who once lived along its entire length.

Alderwood, formerly Alderwood Mall, is a regional shopping mall in Lynnwood, Washington. It is anchored by JCPenney, Macy's and Nordstrom and comprises both a traditional enclosed mall and two open-air areas known as The Village and The Terraces. Brookfield Properties manages and co-owns the property with an institutional investor. Alderwood is Snohomish County's largest mall and one of the major malls in the Puget Sound region. Alderwood was named after the unincorporated area called Alderwood Manor where the mall is located on, which is now part of the city of Lynnwood, Washington. Alderwood Mall is home to one of the world's first Zumiez stores and the United States' first Daiso store.
