St Alban's Church, Tattenhall

The Rookery is a former country house in the village of Tattenhall, Cheshire, England. The house was originally owned by the Orton family. It was reconstructed in 1909 for F. W. Wignall of the Tate & Lyle company. It has since been used as a nursing home. The house is timber-framed on a stone plinth. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building.

Tattenhall Hall is a country house standing to the south of the village of Tattenhall, Cheshire, England. The house is designated by English Heritage as a Grade II* listed building.The house was built in the early part of the 17th century, before 1622, for Richard Bostock. Sir J Bradshaw of Chester owned the house by 1666 and it later became a farmhouse.The house was bought in 1856 by Robert Barbour who restored the house and commissioned Thomas Harrison to design gate piers and farm buildings. In the early 20th century the owners were the Cooke family. In 1994 the house, along with 4.5 acres (1.8 ha) of land, was bought by the Benfields and Jannie Hollins and Chris Evered.

Tattenhall is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Tattenhall and District, 8 miles (13 km) south-east of Chester, in the unitary authority area of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. In the 2001 census, the population was recorded as 1,986, increasing to 2,079 by the 2011 census.

Tattenhall railway station was a railway station in the village of Tattenhall, Cheshire on the Whitchurch and Tattenhall Railway or Chester-Whitchurch Branch Line, about a mile to the south of Tattenhall junction where the branch line diverged from the North Wales Coast Line running from Chester in the north-west towards Crewe to the south-east.

Newton is a settlement and as Newton-by-Tattenhall a former civil parish, now in the parish of Tattenhall and District in the Cheshire West and Chester district, and ceremonial county of Cheshire in England. In 2011 it had a population of 131, up from 116 in 2001. The civil parish was abolished in 2015 to form Tattenhall and District, part also went to Hargrave and Huxley.

Tattenhall Road railway station was a railway station situated a mile to the north of the village of Tattenhall, Cheshire on the Chester and Crewe Railway that was built in 1840 linking Chester to the north-west with Crewe to the south-east. The track now forms part of the North Wales Coast Line. The station was named Tattenhall Road in 1872 to distinguish it from another Tattenhall railway station, a little to the west of the village, on the Whitchurch and Tattenhall Railway branch line to Whitchurch. The station took back the name Tattenhall when the branch line closed in 1957. It was then itself closed in 1966. The station building still exists, now as a private house.

Golborne Bellow is a former civil parish, now in the parish of Tattenhall and District, in the Cheshire West and Chester district, and ceremonial county of Cheshire in England. In 2001 it had a population of 89. The parish included part of the village of Gatesheath. The civil parish was abolished in 2015 to form Tattenhall and District.

The Whitchurch and Tattenhall Railway was a line in Cheshire built by the London and North Western Railway in the 19th century. The branch, which was 14.5 mi (23.3 km) long, connected the North Wales Coast Line from Chester with the Welsh Marches line and Oswestry, Ellesmere and Whitchurch Railway at Whitchurch. Although only a branch line, the route was built to main line standards with double track along its entire length. It was used on occasion to stable the British Royal Train in sidings on the eve of official visits by members of the Royal Family.

Chowley is a hamlet and civil parish in the Borough of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. It is approximately 9.5 miles (15.3 km) south east of Chester and about 1.3 miles (2.1 km) south west of Tattenhall. In the 2001 census Chowley had a population of 23. The census statistics have been combined with the neighbouring civil parishes of Handley and Golborne David, and the figure was given as 227. In the 2011 census these parishes were again combined, with the population recorded as 253.

Handley is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. It is part of the local government ward of Tattenhall, a larger settlement approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) to the east. The hamlet of Milton Green is to the north west of the village. The A41 road, which previously passed through the village now bypasses it, having been re-routed further to the east. In the 2001 census Handley had a population of 149. The census statistics have been combined with the neighbouring civil parishes of Chowley and Golborne David, and the figure was given as 227. In the 2011 census these parishes were again combined, with the population recorded as 253.

Hargrave is a village in the civil parish of Hargrave and Huxley (before 2015, Foulk Stapleford), the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester, and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. St Peter's Church, Hargrave is a Grade II* listed building.The Shropshire Union Canal (originally Chester Canal) passes close to the village.

All Saints Church stands to the north of the village of Handley, Cheshire, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building. The church is an active Anglican parish church in the diocese of Chester, the archdeaconry of Chester and the deanery of Malpas. Its benefice is combined with that of St Alban, Tattenhall.
