Aiguebelette-le-Lac

Lépin-le-Lac (French pronunciation: [lepɛ̃ lə lak]; lit. "Lépin-the-Lake"; Arpitan: Lépen-le-Léc), also simply known as Lépin, is a rural commune in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in Southeastern France. In 2020, it had a population of 469. It lies on the south-southwestern shore of the Lac d'Aiguebelette, one of the largest natural lakes in the area.

The Lac d'Aiguebelette (French pronunciation: [lak dɛɡbəlɛt]; Lake of Aiguebelette) is a natural lake north of the Chartreuse Mountains in the French Alps and just west of the Chaîne de l'Épine in the Jura Mountains. It is located within five communes in the Savoie department: Aiguebelette-le-Lac, Lépin-le-Lac, Saint-Alban-de-Montbel, Novalaise and Nances. The lake hosted the 1997 and 2015 World Rowing Championships.

The Chaîne de l'Épine, in the department of Savoie in southeast France, is a 20-kilometre (12 mi) long ridge of the Jura Mountains that runs north–south along the east side of the Lac d'Aiguebelette, from the Col de l'Épine west of Chambéry as far as the western edge of the Chartreuse Mountains, near the commune of Les Échelles. To the north, the ridge becomes the Mont du Chat ridge along the western shore of the Lac du Bourget. At the southern end, the ridge terminates at the Guiers River.

Mont Beauvoir is a Chartreuse mountain culminating at 1,320 metres (4,331 ft) above sea level in the township of Saint-Jean-de-Couz in the French department of Savoie. Mont Beauvoir is part of the Jura Mountain range.

The Col de Couz is a pass located near the village of Saint-Jean-de-Couz, peaking at 624 m above sea level. It is located at equal distances from the ends of the valley of Couz. It connects Chambéry north-east to Les Echelles southwest side. It is crossed by the departmental road 1006. Mount Beauvoir is located west of the Col de Couz.
