Byron Nelson High School is a public high school located in Trophy Club, Texas about 20 miles (32 km) north of Fort Worth, Texas, in Denton County and opened in August 2009 for the 09–10 school year. It is the second high school in the Northwest Independent School District. The school cost $86.5 million dollars to build. It is approximately 504,000 square feet (46,800 m2), with a 32,000-square-foot (3,000 m2) courtyard in the middle. The academic wing seats a 700-seat cafeteria with a mall-style food court serving layout. It is built along the property of the Army Corps of Engineers, along the edge of where Denton Creek flows into Lake Grapevine at the lake's southwestern corner. In 2013, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency. In 2019, Byron Nelson High School earned an "A" according to TEA's school accountability rating system.Byron Nelson, which competes as a UIL class 6A school, has been a 4-year campus since the 2011–2012 academic year. The campus features environmentally-conscious design elements such as low-energy light fixtures, a landscape designed to conserve water, and the incorporation of recycled building materials sourced from local suppliers. Students have access to a variety of restaurants, including Grille Works, Asian/Italian Restaurant, and a Mexican Restaurant. The school housed a coffeeshop called Java City until its closing for the 2020-21 school year.

Trophy Club is an affluent suburb of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex in the U.S. state of Texas. When established in the 1970s, it was one of the earliest premier planned communities in Texas, built around the only golf course designed by Ben Hogan. It is located west of the DFW Airport and south of the western edge of Grapevine Lake, spanning the county line separating Denton and Tarrant along State Highway 114. The population was 13,688 in 2020.

Northwest Regional Airport (FAA LID: 52F) is a privately owned, public use airport 3 nautical miles (5.6 km) northwest of Roanoke, in Denton County, Texas, United States.The airport is used solely for general aviation purposes. There is a landing fee for non-based aircraft and non-based flight school aircraft must obtain written prior permission. The airfield was previously called Aero Valley Airport until around 1988.

Elizabethtown, once known as Bugtown, is a ghost town located about fifteen miles southwest of Denton in Denton County, Texas, United States. The town derived its original name from the adjacent Elizabeth Creek. The creek starts in northeast Roanoke and ends near Rhome, Haslet, and Avondale. The town is one of at least four ghost towns in Denton County, which includes Drop, Stony, and Alton. It is one of many ghost towns in Texas.

Keller High School is a public high school located in the city of Keller, Texas and is served by the Keller Independent School District. The school educates students in the majority of the city of Keller, western Southlake, northwestern Colleyville, northern North Richland Hills, and most of Westlake, including the Vaquero development. It has been recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School for the 1999-2000 school year. As of 2011, Keller High School is rated "recognized" by the Texas Education Agency and is part of one of the largest districts in Texas to have an overall recognized rating. Per the 2017 US News Best High Schools System official numbers, 2,645 students attended the school.

Texas Motor Speedway is a speedway located in the northernmost portion of Fort Worth, Texas in Denton County. The reconfigured track measures 1.500 mi (2.414 km) with banked 20° in turns 1 and 2 and banked 24° in turns 3 and 4. Texas Motor Speedway is a quad-oval design, where the front straightaway juts outward slightly. The track layout is similar to Atlanta Motor Speedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway. The track is owned by Speedway Motorsports, Inc. Nicknamed “The Great American Speedway“ the racetrack facility is one of the largest motorsports venues in the world capable of hosting crowds in excess of 200,000 spectators.

Keller is a city in Tarrant County, Texas, United States, in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. According to the 2020 census, the city's population is 45,776, making Keller the 80th most populated city in Texas. The most recent population estimate, as of July 1, 2021, is 45,397.In the early 1850s, settlers established Keller and the town became a stop on the Texas and Pacific Railway. The settlers settled around the wooded region in Keller because of Keller's proximity to the Trinity River water supply and abundant farmland. On November 16, 1955, Keller became incorporated. Keller is mostly residential, featuring more than 300 acres (120 ha) of developed land for 11 park sites and more than 26 miles of hiking and biking trails.
