Texas Motor Speedway is a speedway located in the northernmost portion of Fort Worth, Texas in Denton County. The reconfigured track measures 1.500 mi (2.414 km) with banked 20° in turns 1 and 2 and banked 24° in turns 3 and 4. Texas Motor Speedway is a quad-oval design, where the front straightaway juts outward slightly. The track layout is similar to Atlanta Motor Speedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway. The track is owned by Speedway Motorsports, Inc. Nicknamed “The Great American Speedway“ the racetrack facility is one of the largest motorsports venues in the world capable of hosting crowds in excess of 200,000 spectators.

Alliance is a planned community located within Denton County and Tarrant County, Texas, United States. It includes parts of the cities of Haslet, Fort Worth, Westlake, Northlake, Denton, and Roanoke. It is currently owned by Hillwood, a Henry Ross Perot, Jr. company.

Northwest High School is a public high school located in far northern Fort Worth, Texas, with a Justin postal address. Located in southwest Denton County and classified as a 5A school by the UIL, it is a part of the Northwest Independent School District. The school is located southwest of Texas State Highway 114 and Farm to Market Road 156, about a mile west of the Texas Motor Speedway, and two miles north of Fort Worth Alliance Airport. In 2013, the school was rated "Academically Acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.Students can choose their courses from 60 subjects. Northwest High School offers many Advanced Placement classes. All of the students at the high school have the option to rent a Chromebook for school use as of the 2016–2017 school year. Northwest was named a 2001-02 National Blue Ribbon School.

Roanoke is a city in Denton County, Texas, United States and part of the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. The population was 5,962 at the 2010 census. With a 2020 population of 10,537, it is the 236th largest city in Texas and the 2991st largest city in the United States. Roanoke is currently growing at a rate of 3.77% annually and its population has increased by 76.74% since the most recent census, which recorded a population of 5,962 in 2010. A small part of the city extends into Tarrant. The city was originally founded after competition with Elizabethtown, located just off Highway 114. Settlers from Elizabethtown eventually moved to Roanoke permanently, and Elizabethtown currently resides as a ghost town. The main east–west road through town, State Highway 114 Business, is named "Byron Nelson Boulevard" in honor of the golfer who resided in the community. Roanoke is home to many restaurants (as such, its official slogan is "The Unique Dining Capital of Texas"), as well as a hotel that bank robbers Bonnie and Clyde resided in during the 1930s. The Northwest Regional Airport is located 2 miles (3 km) north of the city center.

Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport (IATA: AFW, ICAO: KAFW, FAA LID: AFW) is a public airport 14 miles (23 km) north of the central business district of Fort Worth, Texas, United States. The airport is owned by the City of Fort Worth and managed by Alliance Air Services, a subsidiary of Hillwood Development, and is, in size, the second-largest airport facility in North Texas, behind only Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).The airport is mainly focused on cargo operations, and serves as a southern regional hub for FedEx Express and focus city for Amazon Air. It provides no major commercial passenger airline service, though it does provide general aviation services. It formerly served as a maintenance hub for Fort Worth-based American Airlines, until the bankruptcy filing and subsequent restructuring of its parent AMR Corporation.

There is a landing fee for non-based aircraft and non-based flight school aircraft must obtain written prior permission. The airfield was previously called Aero Valley Airport until around 1988.

Northlake is a town in Denton County, Texas, United States. The population was 5,201 in 2020. The town is located northwest of Grapevine Lake, approximately 10 miles (16 km) northwest of Westlake, Texas.

Timber Creek High School is a public high school located in the city of Fort Worth, Texas which is served by the Keller Independent School District. The campus opened its doors in the fall of 2009 and was Keller ISD's fourth high school. Its first graduating class was in the spring of 2012. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.A majority of the students zoned for TCHS live in the city limits of Fort Worth in an area roughly bordered by Interstate 35 to the west, Highway 170 on the north, Highway 377 to the east, and Heritage Trace Parkway to the south. As of the 2015–2016 school year, the campus housed approximately 3275 students in grades 9-12.The school coffeeshop, The Daily Grind, opened in 2017, the first of its kind in Keller ISD. Students selected the name of the establishment via a poll on Twitter. The coffeeshop makes a "Falconccino", which is similar to a frappucino with the name referring to the school mascot; a student created the name of the drink. Students also designed the appearance of the coffeeshop.

Byron Nelson High School is a public high school located in Trophy Club, Texas about 20 miles (32 km) north of Fort Worth, Texas, in Denton County and opened in August 2009 for the 09–10 school year. It is the second high school in the Northwest Independent School District. The school cost $86.5 million dollars to build. It is approximately 504,000 square feet (46,800 m2), with a 32,000-square-foot (3,000 m2) courtyard in the middle. The academic wing seats a 700-seat cafeteria with a mall-style food court serving layout. It is built along the property of the Army Corps of Engineers, along the edge of where Denton Creek flows into Lake Grapevine at the lake's southwestern corner. In 2013, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency. In 2019, Byron Nelson High School earned an "A" according to TEA's school accountability rating system.Byron Nelson, which competes as a UIL class 6A school, has been a 4-year campus since the 2011–2012 academic year. The campus features environmentally-conscious design elements such as low-energy light fixtures, a landscape designed to conserve water, and the incorporation of recycled building materials sourced from local suppliers. Students have access to a variety of restaurants, including Grille Works, Asian/Italian Restaurant, and a Mexican Restaurant. The school housed a coffeeshop called Java City until its closing for the 2020-21 school year.
