The Llandow air disaster was an aircraft accident in Wales in 1950. At that time it was the world's worst air disaster, with a total of 80 fatalities. The aircraft, an Avro Tudor V, had been privately hired to fly rugby union enthusiasts to and from an international game in Ireland. On the return flight the aircraft stalled and crashed on its approach to land.

Llanmihangel Place (Welsh: Plas Llanmihangel) is a Grade I listed manor house in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. It became a Grade I listed building on 16 December 1952. The house dates back to the 12th century, when it was constructed as a single-storey dwelling.

Frampton is a hamlet in the Vale of Glamorgan in South Wales. It lies within the parish of Llantwit Major, to the north of the town off the B4265 road, 4.25 miles (6.84 km) south-southwest of Cowbridge. It is divided into Little Frampton and Great Frampton.

Royal Air Force Llandow, or more simply RAF Llandow, is a former Royal Air Force station situated near the village of Llandow, Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales, 15 miles (24 km) west of Cardiff. It opened in 1940 and closed in 1957. It was while training at this airfield in 1941 that John Gillespie Magee, Jr. wrote his famous poem, "High Flight."

Llandow Circuit is a small, family owned and run motorsport circuit at Llandow, Vale of Glamorgan, 15 miles (24 km) south west of Cardiff, Wales, used mainly for supercar experience days, testing, track-days and events. The lap record is held by Martin Jessopp at 41.4 seconds - set on September 16, 2009 on his Ducati 1198RS British Superbike. Jessopp wasn't aware of a record or that he was being timed, and his Ducati was still running long gearing for the North West 200 a week prior, where Jessopp hit 208 mph a top speed record, not exactly ideal for Llandow. Monoposto Racing Club lap record was 00:36.0 set by Alan Baillie in his Viking Mk1A in 1974 Llandow Kart Circuit, run by South Wales Karting Centre, is adjacent to the main circuit.

Nash Manor is a Grade I listed building in Llandow, near Cowbridge in the Vale of Glamorgan, south Wales. It became a Grade I listed building on 16 December 1952.

Llantwit Major AFC are a Welsh football club formed in 1962 and are based in the town of Llantwit Major, Vale of Glamorgan, South East Wales. They currently play in the Cymru South, and in 2021–22 finished as league champions.

Llanmaes (Welsh: Llanfaes) is a small village and community in the Vale of Glamorgan near the market town of Llantwit Major. The population in 2011 was 403.

The Llantwit Major Roman Villa was a Roman L-shaped courtyard villa located at what is now Caermead, immediately north of the town of Llantwit Major in the Welsh county of South Glamorgan. The villa was first discovered in 1887 and was fully excavated in 1938-39 and 1948. There was another excavation in 1971. The site may have been occupied in the late Iron Age. The first stone structure was erected in the 2nd century. The site developed slowly and, it has been suggested, was even abandoned for a while during the 3rd century. By the 4th century, there was an L-shaped villa with fine mosaic floors, a large aisled building possibly for farm workers and a number of smaller agricultural structures almost enclosing a central courtyard. Part of the site was used as a cemetery in the early medieval period. The excavations of 1971 uncovered two burials which had been dug through the tesselated pavement of rooms 8/9. Another contorted skeleton was recovered from the corridor. No evidence has been found to support the suggestion that the villa was somehow associated with Saint Illtud who founded the church at Llantwit Major in the 6th century.

Llantwit Major railway station is a railway station serving the small town of Llantwit Major, South Wales. It is located on the Vale of Glamorgan Line, 18+1⁄4 miles (29.4 km) west of Cardiff Central towards Bridgend via Barry and Rhoose. The present station opened on 12 June 2005, when passenger services were restored on the section of line between Barry and Bridgend. Passenger services are operated by Transport for Wales as part of the Valleys & Cardiff Local Routes network.

Llantwit Major Town Hall (Welsh: Neuadd y Dref Llanilltud Fawr) is a local government administrative building dating back to the late 15th century, in the town of Llantwit Major in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. It is a Grade II* listed building.

Llysworney (Welsh: Llyswyrni) is a small village in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales, in the community of Llandow. Llysworney is home to about 240 people and has around 100 houses. It is situated about 2 miles away from Cowbridge in the Vale of Glamorgan. It is in the historic county of Glamorgan. The B4268 runs through the village. The Village is home to the locally well-known Carne Arms Pub, St. Tydfils Church, a duck pond, and Llysworney Garage.
