Llanmihangel

Llanmihangel Place (Welsh: Plas Llanmihangel) is a Grade I listed manor house in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. It became a Grade I listed building on 16 December 1952. The house dates back to the 12th century, when it was constructed as a single-storey dwelling.

The Llandow air disaster was an aircraft accident in Wales in 1950. At that time it was the world's worst air disaster, with a total of 80 fatalities. The aircraft, an Avro Tudor V, had been privately hired to fly rugby union enthusiasts to and from an international game in Ireland. On the return flight the aircraft stalled and crashed on its approach to land.

Sigingstone (Welsh: Tresigin) is a small hamlet in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. It mainly consists of residential housing and two small working farms. There are two roads - one leading to the two nearby towns Llantwit Major and Cowbridge, and the other to Llanmihangel. It also has a 19th-century public house, called the Victoria Inn. The village name is alternatively spelled "Sigginstone". This spelling is still used locally.

The Church of St John the Baptist is a medieval church in Llanblethian in the Vale of Glamorgan, south Wales. Believed to have been built in the 12th century, the church boasts an unusual tower, consistent with the style more common in the south west of England. It underwent extensive restoration in the late 19th century, undertaken by C. B. Fowler of Cardiff. The Church of St John was listed as a Grade I building on 22 February 1963.

Llanblethian (Welsh: Llanfleiddian) is a village in the Vale of Glamorgan in Wales which sits upon the River Thaw. It makes up part of the community of Cowbridge with Llanblethian, which consists of the village itself, the larger market town of Cowbridge and Aberthin. Llanblethian first came to prominence as one of the manor lordships created by the Norman lords following the Norman invasion of Wales. It was first ruled by the St. Quentins before being taken over by the Siwards. Under the Norman lordship power in the region shifted from the village to nearby Cowbridge, where manorial affairs were conducted. Llanblethian has several fine large buildings including an early 18th century great house, a 12th-century church dedicated to St John the Baptist and its own castle, a largely ruinous structure but with a fine gatehouse known locally as St Quintins Castle.

Frampton is a hamlet in the Vale of Glamorgan in South Wales. It lies within the parish of Llantwit Major, to the north of the town off the B4265 road, 4.25 miles (6.84 km) south-southwest of Cowbridge. It is divided into Little Frampton and Great Frampton.

Llandough (Welsh: Llandochau) is a village in the community of Llanfair, south of Cowbridge in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales.

Llandough Castle is a 14th-century tower house located in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. Initially constructed as a fortified residential manor, the property is well preserved and has undergone many structural additions. It is currently a private residence Llandough Castle was assigned Grade II* listed building status in 1981.

Llanmaes (Welsh: Llanfaes) is a small village and community in the Vale of Glamorgan near the market town of Llantwit Major. The population in 2011 was 403.

St Quintins Castle (also known as St Quentins Castle and Llanblethian Castle, Welsh: Castell Llanfleiddan) is a castle located in the village of Llanblethian, Cowbridge, Wales. It is a scheduled monument and a Grade II* listed building and is under the care of Cadw. The site was first occupied with a defensive structure in about 1102 and the gatehouse and further building work took place around 1312. It was later used as a prison and was reported as being in a ruinous state by 1741.

The Herberts is a hamlet in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. It is located immediately to the north of the village of St. Mary Church and southwest of Llandough, 2.2 miles by road southwest of the market town centre of Cowbridge along St Athan Road. The River Thaw flows through The Herberts.

Llanfair is a community in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. It is located immediately south of the town of Cowbridge and includes the settlements of St Hilary, Llandough, St Mary Church (Welsh: Llan-fair) and The Herberts. The population in 2011 was 611.Llanfair has a community council comprising eight councillors, who meet regularly at St Hilary Village Hall. For elections to the Vale of Glamorgan Council the community is part of the Cowbridge electoral ward. Buildings of note in Llanfair include Old Beaupre Castle near St Hilary, which is Grade I listed and Llandough Castle which is Grade II* listed. St Hilary's parish church is also Grade II* listed.
