Greenboro is a transitway stop and future O-Train Trillium Line (Line 2) station in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located at Bank Street and Johnston Road at the north end of the South Keys shopping complex. The station has a 678-space paid park and ride lot. The bus terminus was opened with the southern transitway on September 2, 1995. From 2001 to 2020, Greenboro served as the southern terminus for the Trillium Line. Upon the line's relaunch in 2023, Greenboro will become a through station, while Limebank station will serve as the line's new terminus. Service to the Uplands (near the EY Centre) and Airport stations will be relocated to the nearby South Keys station, which will connect to these stations with a fare-paid interchange to the Airport Link train.

South Keys Shopping Centre, officially SmartCentres Ottawa South, is a shopping centre in the South Keys neighbourhood of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is owned and operated by SmartCentres. The power centre is built on 56 acres of land with 486,127 square feet of store space. Walmart serves as the mall's anchor. Eight separate buildings house the centre's 20 stores and services which include supermarkets, restaurants, banks, and a movie theatre. South Keys Shopping Centre was first opened in 1996. The property is bound by Johnston Road to the north, Bank Street to the east, Dazé Street to the south, and the Transitway to the west. SmartCentres notes that there are 50,638 households comprising 71,374 people within a 5km radius of the shopping centre. The average household income within this radius is CA$113,539.OC Transpo's Transitway runs north-south along the back of the shopping centre with Greenboro station serving the mall's north end and South Keys station serving the south end. Greenboro station also features a park and ride and access to the Trillium Line. Stage 2 of the O-Train expansion project will see South Keys station connected with the Trillium Line and the new Airport Link in 2023. The shopping centre has been the location of several minor and major crimes. At around 9:00 a.m. on July 28, 2013, the body of a deceased female was found in the ditch between the Kelsey's parking lot and Bank Street. The following day, she was identified as 28-year-old Melissa Richmond, who had been missing for the previous two weeks. It was Ottawa's seventh homicide of the year. On November 26, 2015, her husband, 53-year-old Howard Richmond, was found guilty of first degree murder. At around 6:30 p.m. on November 23, 2018, a 27-year-old man, Yonis Barkhadle, one of three brothers who were well known to police in the city, was fatally shot in the parking lot at the north end of the mall.Since 2015, the City of Ottawa has been considering redeveloping South Keys Shopping Centre into a mixed-use area.

Ottawa South (French: Ottawa-Sud) is a federal electoral district in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is represented in the House of Commons of Canada by David McGuinty, brother of former Premier of Ontario and Ottawa South MPP Dalton McGuinty. It has been held continuously by Liberal candidates since it was first contested in 1988, and is regarded as one of the strongest Liberal ridings in Canada. Ottawa South is a suburban, generally middle class riding, notable for having the highest Arab population in Ontario.

South Keys station is a stop on Ottawa's transitway system. Operated by OC Transpo, it is last station at the southern end of the Transitway, just north of Hunt Club Road. The station is located in the South Keys neighbourhood of Ottawa at the south end of the South Keys Shopping Centre beside the Cineplex Odeon South Keys Cinemas, between Bank Street and the Airport Parkway. The station was opened to traffic with the southern transitway on September 2, 1995. OC Transpo bus route 97 continues on the Airport Parkway from Greenboro to the most southern station, Airport station, while other routes such as routes 98 and 99 exit at Hunt Club Road. Previously, City Council approved the addition of an O-Train station at South Keys (instead of Lester) in conjunction of the expansion of the north–south light rail line. The project was cancelled on December 14, 2006. In 2024, South Keys will reopen as a centre platform, light rail station. It will serve as the transfer point between the Trillium Line and the Airport Link.

Ellwood is a neighbourhood and former railway point in River Ward, in the south end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is bounded by Walkley Road on the north, the Transitway on the west, Albion Road on the east, and Ledbury Park on the south. The population of this area is approximately 2908 (2011 Census).

The Ottawa Central Railway (reporting mark OCRR) was a Canadian short-line railroad subsidiary of the Canadian National Railway. The headquarters were at the Walkley Yard, 3141 Albion Road South, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The OCRR was a wholly owned subsidiary of the Quebec Railway Corporation (QCR). It consisted of former CN subdivisions, and operated between Coteau-du-Lac, Quebec, at an interchange with the CN Montreal-Toronto main line, to Ottawa and Pembroke, Ontario. The OCRR started operations on December 13, 1998, and two years later, QRC acquired the assets of Ontario L'Orignal Railway from RailAmerica.The OCRR consisted of 198 km (123 mi) of track and spurs: 156 km (97 mi) of main line between Ottawa and Pembroke, on CN Beachburg Subdivision and 42 km (26 mi) of the former Ontario L’Orignal Railway (OLO) between Glen Robertson and Hawkesbury. It also had 138 km (86 mi) of running rights between Ottawa and Coteau on track owned by Via Rail.Major commodities carried by the OCRR included newsprint, salt, medium-density fibreboard, linerboard, forest products, pulp, gasoline, lumber and board, wire rod, billets and scrap.

Walkley is a bus station on Ottawa's transitway served by OC Transpo buses. It is located in the south-eastern transitway section at Walkley Road in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. There are also plans for mixed-use development all around the station which is vacant. In 2024, a new infill station on the O-Train Trillium Line will open at Walkley.

The Jim Durrell Recreation Centre is a multi-purpose dual-pad arena in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the south end of the city on Walkley road close to the intersection of Bank street. The Ottawa Jr. Senators of the Central Canada Hockey League are its primary tenant.

Walkley Yard was built in 1955 at a size of 129 acres and 9000 feet in length by the National Capital Commission to relocate the Canadian National Railway yard, to make way for construction of the Queensway. The northerly part was later acquired by Canadian Pacific Railway in 1967, when they moved from LeBreton Flats. An OC Transpo facility was added to the northern portion of the yard in 2001 to allow indoor servicing for the O-Train Trillium Line's diesel-powered fleet. The Canadian National Railway still occupy the southerly portion of the freight yard. Canadian National Railway ran operations out of the Walkley Yard from August 1955 until 1998 when Ottawa Central Railway took over as a short line. The Last Trans-Con freight train ran thru the yard Nov 1995. Shortly after the Beachburg Sub rail was pulled from Pembroke to North Bay. CNR purchased the yard and lines back in 2008 and continues to operate out of the yard for a few remaining customers in the area. The yard is often used for car storage. In 2022, Ottawa city council approved the purchase of the former Canadian Pacific areas of the yard.

Hunt Club is a community in River Ward, in the south end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The area is named after the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club, which was first developed in 1876. Hunt Club Road and many local businesses were also named after the golf course.Hunt Club is located just north of the Ottawa Macdonald–Cartier International Airport and to the east of the Rideau River. The Hunt Club Community Organization defines the boundaries as the Rideau River to the west, the Airport Parkway to the east, the CN Albion line and Via Rail Beachburg Subdivision to the north, and Hunt Club Road to the south. The population of the area is 12,264 as of the 2016 Canadian census.16% of the area is publicly accessible green space. It has three times as much green space as the Ottawa average, including the Sawmill Creek wetlands and Rideau River shoreline. Hunt Club has seven city parks: Cahill, McCarthy, Owl, Paul Landry, Riverwood, Uplands, and Uplands Riverside. Hunt Club has a mixed demographic in terms of age groups, ethnocultural backgrounds, socio-economic levels, and family set-ups. The area also has the second-largest Asian Canadian population in Ottawa. Housing in the area includes single dwellings, semi-detached and townhouse units, apartment buildings, retirement homes, and housing projects. Hunt Club was originally settled by Europeans in the early nineteenth century, and it was originally part of Gloucester Township. In 1950, the still largely rural area was annexed into the city of Ottawa. Development of the area began in the 1970s, and many houses and buildings in the area are from this period. It was designed as a bedroom community with little commercial space.

Ridgemont High School. It is an Ottawa-Carleton District School Board secondary school in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The school is located at 2597 Alta Vista Drive in the Alta Vista neighbourhood of Ottawa. It is next door to St. Patrick's High School, a Roman Catholic high school, and Charles Hulse Elementary School, also in the OCDSB.

Opened for the 1963-64 school year, General Vanier Public School serves Ottawa's Riverside Park East and South communities. The school was completed in 1963 on what had been the Munro farm. The school accommodated students from kindergarten through grade 6. Grades 7 and 8 were transported by bus from the school to Hopewell Avenue School.At the time of the opening in the fall of 1963, Bayview Public School on Riverside Drive was undergoing renovations. Students temporarily attended General Vanier PS.The school adjoins Pauline Vanier Park, named after the Governor-General's wife.
