Raincliffe Woods

Suffield-cum-Everley is a civil parish in the Scarborough district of North Yorkshire, England. According to the 2011 UK census, the parish (including Silpho) had a population of 241, an increase on the 2001 UK census figure of 61.The parish council is Hackness & Harwood Dale Group Parish Council which covers the six parishes of Broxa-cum-Troutsdale, Darncombe-cum-Langdale End, Hackness, Harwood Dale, Silpho and Suffield-cum-Everley.

Forge Valley is a national nature reserve in the Scarborough district of North Yorkshire, England, located within the North York Moors National Park on the East Ayton / Hackness road. The valley follows the route of the River Derwent and was formed by melting ice water at the end of the last ice age. The NNR at Forge Valley covers over 63 hectares (160 acres).The area is now covered with woodlands which are thought to be 6,000 years old. Forge Valley takes its name from the fact that charcoal was produced in these woods, for use in iron forges. There was a foundry to the north of the valley in 1798.Forge Valley is managed by Raincliffe Woods Community Enterprise CIC.

A local cider manufacturer works out of the hamlet.

The Sea Cut (Scalby Beck) is a small river that enters the North Sea at Scalby Mills, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England. The beck is fed from local streams in Scalby, Newby and Burniston and other watercourses draining off the nearby hills. It is also a bypass channel for the upper reaches of the River Derwent when it is under flood conditions.

Graham School is a coeducational secondary school in the west of Scarborough in North Yorkshire, England. It is situated to the west of the town within 22 acres (8.9 ha) of grounds. The school is on Woodlands Drive. The lower site on Lady Edith's Drive closed on 23rd June 2017. Graham School provides for pupils aged 11 to 16 (year 7 to year 11)

Raincliffe School was a comprehensive secondary school, with Business and Enterprise College status, in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England. On 31 August 2012, Raincliffe School formally closed, entering a federation with nearby Graham School.For many years the school held an annual fell run, called the Muddy Rut, in which the entire student roll would race through Raincliffe Woods. On 23 June 2017, the Raincliffe school site (Graham lower school) closed due to falling pupil numbers.
