Brandlesholme Road Halt railway station

Woodhill Road Halt was a stopping point on the Bury to Holcombe Brook Line from 1905 until 1918 and from 1934 until the line closed in 1952.

Burrs Country Park covers a 36 hectare (86 acre) site on the banks of the River Irwell, 1.5 km (1 ml) north west of Bury, Greater Manchester, England. It was acquired by Bury Metropolitan Borough Council in 1986 and transformed from a derelict industrial site into a modern country park.

Ramsbottom Urban District was, from 1894 to 1974, a local government district of the administrative county of Lancashire, England. Its area was coterminate with Ramsbottom, spanning an area of the Rossendale Valley north of the County Borough of Bury. The Urban District was created by the Local Government Act 1894, and abolished by the Local Government Act 1972; in 1974 the Central, East, South and West wards of the district joined the Metropolitan Borough of Bury, the North and Walmersley cum Shuttleworth wards to the Borough of Rossendale.

Brandlesholme is an area in the town of Bury in Greater Manchester, England. The boundary between Brandlesholme, Bury and the North Manor area of Bury is Wood Road Lane, close to the junction of Brandlesholme Road and Longsite Road. Brandlesholme Road (B6214) is the main road through the area. At its furthermost south junction it meets with Tottington Road and Crostons Road, providing access to Bury town centre. Northwards at a stretch of open farmland, the road forks, bearing left to Greenmount with links to Tottington and Bolton, and right to Holcombe Brook, Summerseat and Ramsbottom. Frequent bus services run along the road every 15 minutes throughout Monday to Saturday daytime.

Elton is a suburb of Bury, Greater Manchester, England. The population at the 2011 census was 11,464. The River Irwell flows through the area via Burrs Country Park, formerly cotton mills, some features of which are still visible. Elton is a halt on the East Lancashire Railway heritage line.

Bury power stations are two generating stations that supplied electricity to the town of Bury, Lancashire and the surrounding area from 1896 to 1970. They were owned and operated by Bury Corporation until the nationalisation of the British electricity supply industry in 1948. The power stations were rebuilt several times to replace older plant and to meet an increasing demand for electricity.

Bury Transport Museum is a transport museum in Bury, Greater Manchester, situated in the former Castlecroft Goods Warehouse, a Grade II listed building from 1846, on Castlecroft Road, with the main entrance from Bolton Street, BL9 0EY. It was started in 1973 by volunteers of the East Lancashire Railway, had to close in 2003 because of roof problems but opened again in 2010.

Burrs County Park is the East Lancashire Railway's seventh station. It was opened in October 2016 and since January 2017, has seen regular passenger services.

Bury Grammar School (Girls) is a private girls' day school in Bury, Greater Manchester, England, which was founded in 1884. The Headmistress since 2015 has been Jo Anderson. The previous headmistress, Bobby Georghiou, retired after 12 years in post. The Headmistress is a member of the GSA. The current school fees are £10,440 p.a. for senior pupils and £7.758 p.a. in the junior school.

Chamber Hall Power Station was a coal-fired power station situated in Bury, Greater Manchester. It was opened in 1912 by the Bury Corporation Electricity Department.

Bury Grammar School Boys is a private day school in Bury, Greater Manchester, England, that has existed since c.1570. It is now part of a group of schools for preschool, junior, senior and sixth form studies. Since 2017, when Bury Grammar School (Boys) and Bury Grammar School (Girls) amalgamated, Jo Anderson has been the first Principal (education) of Bury Grammar School. The headmaster of the boys' school and vice principal since 2017 has been Devin Cassidy. The Principal is a member of the HMC. The current school fees are £10,992 p.a. for senior pupils and £8,193 p.a. in the junior school.

Daisyfield Viaduct is a stone structure crossing the Manchester, Bolton and Bury Canal and River Irwell in Bury, Greater Manchester, England. It no longer carries trains, and is now used as a recreational feature for the general public.
