Thurlow Park ward is an administrative division of the London Borough of Lambeth, England. It is located in the constituency of Dulwich and West Norwood.It is located towards the South of the borough containing parts of Herne Hill, Tulse Hill (including the Tulse Hill railway station), and West Norwood. It is bordered in the north by Brockwell Park. The population of the ward at the 2011 Census was 13,641.

Oakfield Preparatory School is an independent coeducational preparatory school in West Dulwich, Lambeth.Oakfield is a member of the Independent Schools Association. With over 350 boys and girls aged between 2 and 11, it is housed in historic Georgian buildings each side of the South Circular at the junction with Croxted Road. For many years a senior school was run from the building on the south side of the road under the name of John Wycliffe Prep School, for 11-16 year olds.

It is located on opposite side of the south circular road from Belair Park, 5 miles 2 chains (8.1 km) down the line from London Victoria and between Herne Hill and Sydenham Hill. The station and all services are operated by Southeastern.

Honor Oak Cricket Club Ground is a cricket ground in Dulwich, London (formerly Surrey). In 1921 the club was described as one of the oldest and best cricket clubs in Surrey, having supplied several players to the county club. In that year Honor Oak played Guy's Hospital in a charity game in aid of blinded soldiers and sailors. The club side eleven included England player, EG Hayes. and George Abel, son of R Abel. The first archived scorecard for a match on the ground was in 1929. In 1943, the Buccaneers played Northamptonshire in a wartime charity match. In 1967, the ground hosted a single Second XI Championship match between the Surrey Second XI and the Glamorgan Second XI.The ground hosted a single Women's One Day International in the 1993 Women's Cricket World Cup when Australia women played Denmark women.In local domestic cricket, the ground is the home venue of Alleyn and Honor Oak Cricket Club.

Belair Park is a park located in the West Dulwich part of the London Borough of Southwark, southeast London, England. The park grounds once belonged to Belair House, a country villa built in Adam style that is now a Grade II listed building. There are also two other Grade II listed structures within the park: the lodge and entrance gate, and an old stable building.

The South London Botanical Institute (SLBI) is an institution for the popularization of botany. It was founded in 1910 by Allan Octavian Hume, a former civil servant for the British Raj in India. After returning from India to England in 1894, and after giving up ornithology, and turning vegetarian, Hume took an interest in British and European botany, and horticulture, which eventually led him to create the Institute in a large Victorian house in Norwood Road, Tulse Hill, South London, to provide an environment where anyone interested in plants, whether amateur or professional, could meet to develop their knowledge of botany. The Institute has changed little since its founding, and is of interest to historians as well as botanists. It contains the original library with an extensive collection of botanical books, monographs and journals and herbarium with a collection of dried, pressed plants from Britain and Europe, mounted on sheets accompanied by collecting details, to help members name or identify plants correctly. The lecture room was renovated and restored in 2015, including some unique wallpaper designed by Augusta Ackerman. There is an active programme of talks, practical courses, and field excursions. It maintains a small botanic garden containing examples of over 500 species.

It is served by both Southern and Thameslink, and it is in Travelcard Zone 3.

West Norwood Cemetery is a 40-acre (16 ha) rural cemetery in West Norwood in London, England. It was also known as the South Metropolitan Cemetery. One of the first private landscaped cemeteries in London, it is one of the "Magnificent Seven" cemeteries of London, and is a site of major historical, architectural and ecological interest. Its grounds are a mixture of historic monumental cemetery and modern lawn cemetery, but it also has catacombs, cremation plots and a columbarium for cinerary ashes. The cemetery's crematorium still operates, and cremation plots are still available, but all the conventional burial plots have been allocated and hence it is closed to new burials pending further agreement under current burial legislation.
