The Vilna Ghetto was a World War II Jewish ghetto established and operated by Nazi Germany in the city of Vilnius in the modern country of Lithuania, at the time part of the Nazi-administered Reichskommissariat Ostland.During the approximately two years of its existence starvation, disease, street executions, maltreatment, and deportations to concentration and extermination camps reduced the ghetto's population from an estimated 40,000 to zero. Only several hundred people managed to survive, mostly by hiding in the forests surrounding the city, joining Soviet partisans, or sheltering with sympathetic locals.

Evangelical Lutheran Church (Lithuanian: Evangelikų liuteronų bažnyčia) is a Lutheran church in the Vilnius Old Town. Its parish has 600 members and it is the only Evangelical Lutheran church in Vilnius.Following the restoration of Lithuania's independence in 1990, the church was visited by the Swedish and Norwegian kings.Commemorating the 500th anniversary of Reformation a monument to Martin Luther was unveiled in the church's yard.

Vokiečių Street (literally: the German Street; Lithuanian: Vokiečių gatvė; German: Die Deutsche Gasse) is a street in the Old Town of Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. It is one of the oldest streets in Vilnius and its name arise from the 14th century when the German merchants and craftsman settled there. From 1546, the Vilnius Mint was located in the street. The street was the most beautiful in Vilnius in the 16th century as it already had many brick houses. In the second half of the 19th century, the street was densely inhabited by the Jews and the Great Synagogue of Vilna was located in Vokiečių Street 13A.Following the World War II, the old structure of the street was severely destroyed as many damaged buildings were demolished and the original buildings survived only on one side of the street.

Vilnius County (Lithuanian: Vilniaus apskritis) is the largest of the 10 counties of Lithuania, located in the east of the country around the city Vilnius and is also known as Capital Region or Sostinės regionas by the Lithuanian statistics department and Eurostat. On 1 July 2010, the county administration was abolished, and since that date, Vilnius County remains as the territorial and statistical unit.

The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Lithuanian: Vilniaus Švč. Mergelės Marijos Ėmimo į dangų bažnyčia) is a Roman Catholic church in the Trakų Street, Vilnius' Old Town, which was established by Franciscans.The first Franciscan church was built at the end of the 13th century in this site, however it was rebuilt in 1421 because the initial church was burned down during an attack by the Crusaders in 1390.

The Great Synagogue of Vilnius, which once stood at the end of Jewish Street (I-2), Vilnius, Lithuania, was built between 1630 and 1633 after permission was granted to construct a synagogue from stone. Standing on the spot of an existing synagogue built in 1572, the site had first been used to house a Jewish house of prayer in 1440. Damaged in World War II, it was demolished in 1955–1957 and replaced by a kindergarten and a primary school.

The Choral Synagogue of Vilnius (Lithuanian: Vilniaus choralinė sinagoga) is the only synagogue in Vilnius that is still in use. The other synagogues were destroyed partly during World War II, when Lithuania was occupied by Nazi Germany, and partly by the Soviet authorities after the war. The Choral Synagogue of Vilnius was built in 1903.The synagogue is built in a Romanesque-Moorish style.It is the only active synagogue that survived both the Holocaust and Soviet rule in this city that once had over 100 synagogues. During the occupation of Lithuania by the Soviet Union the synagogue was nationalised and turned into a metal factory. Resulting from this usage the building suffered considerable damage. It was restored in 2010 and opened again as a synagogue shortly thereafter. International donations and a small community of Jews in Vilnius support the synagogue. The synagogue holds services and is open to visitors.In 2019, the synagogue along with the Jewish community headquarters was temporarily closed due to threats from right-wing groups. The decision coincided with a rise in antisemitic rhetoric related to public debate about honoring Lithuanian collaborators.

Contemporary Art Centre (CAC, Lithuanian: Šiuolaikinio meno centras) – art institution, established in 1992 by Lithuanian Ministry of Culture. CAC has replaced the Arts Exhibition Palace (Lithuanian: Dailės parodų rūmai) and took over its building in Vilnius, 2 Vokiečių street. CAC contains five exposition rooms (total area exceeds 2000 sq. m) and a cinema hall. In 1997 FLUXUS cabinet of George Maciunas was opened, housing a permanent exhibition of fluxus artworks, assembled from private collection of Gilbert and Lila Silverman. Since 2005 CAC the periodic journal "ŠMC/CAC Interviu" is issued by CAC.

All Saints Church (Lithuanian: Visų Šventųjų bažnyčia, Polish: Kościół Wszystkich Świętych, address: Rūdninkų St. 20/1) is a Baroque-style church in Vilnius, Lithuania. All Saints church was built between 1620 and 1630 and was adopted for Carmelites' needs. In the second half of the 17th century, the church was linked with a monastery and formed a single complex.

Dominican Church of the Holy Spirit, Vilnius (Dominikonų St. 8) is a church in Vilnius, Lithuania, a monument of high and late Baroque. Crowned with a cupola, it stands out in the panorama of the old town and can be seen from surrounding streets.

Radziwiłł Minor Palace (Lithuanian: Mažieji Radvilų rūmai; Polish: Mały Pałac Radziwiłłów) is a former palace of the Radziwiłł family in Vilnius, Lithuania. The palace was originally built in the 17th century and was reconstructed twice in 1796–1810 and 1987–1989. Currently, it houses the Lithuanian Theater, Music and Cinema Museum.
