Lionville is a census-designated place (CDP) in Uwchlan Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 6,189 at the 2010 census. Prior to 2010 the CDP was recorded as Lionville-Marchwood. "Marchwood", however, refers only to the housing development begun in the early 1960s that is located south of the 100-113 intersection. Lionville is bisected by two major local highways, PA 100 and PA 113. The area contains residential neighborhoods, hotels, restaurants, and other businesses. The original name of the village was Welsh Pool, but to honor the local Red Lion Inn the name was changed to Lionville, since a borough of Red Lion, Pennsylvania, already existed. The area of Lionville along Village Avenue is a protected historic district. The Friends Meeting House was used as a hospital by the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. Lionville has an independent ZIP code and post office, but it has never had mail delivery. Many of the long-term residents who picked up mail at the now-closed general store or fire station locations now use a Downingtown address. Because much of the area also falls under the Exton ZIP code, many Lionville businesses use the Exton name instead, especially if they do not have other locations in the area.

The district is represented by Democrat Chrissy Houlahan, who has served in Congress since 2019. As currently drawn, the district is among the wealthiest in Pennsylvania. The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania redrew the district in February 2018 after ruling the previous map unconstitutional.Jim Gerlach served as the district's Representative from 2003 to 2014. In 2004 and 2006, Gerlach won re-election against fellow attorney and now Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas Judge Lois Murphy. In 2008, he successfully ran for re-election against businessman and veteran Bob Roggio. In the 2010 and 2012 elections, Gerlach defeated physician and Iraq War veteran Manan Trivedi, the Democratic nominee. In January 2014, Gerlach announced that he would not stand for reelection to the 114th Congress. In the race to succeed Gerlach, Chester County Commissioner Ryan Costello won the Republican nomination and physician and Iraq war veteran Manan Trivedi secured the Democratic party's nomination.In February 2018, following the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania's ordered redrawing of congressional districts, Costello announced he would not stand for reelection and retire at the end of the 115th Congress, leaving businessman Greg McCauley as the sole Republican candidate while the Democrats nominated Air Force veteran Chrissy Houlahan. Houlahan defeated McCauley in the general election.

Uwchlan Meetinghouse is an historic Quaker meeting house located on North Village Avenue (Pennsylvania Route 113) at Lionville in Uwchlan Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1756, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, rubble fieldstone structure with a gable roof. Monthly as well as weekly meetings for business matters were first held there. So, too, were weddings and burials.

Charles Thomas House, also known as Fairview, is a historic home located in West Whiteland Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. The house was designed by noted Philadelphia architect Addison Hutton (1834–1916) and built in 1877–1878. The original house was a two-story, five bay rectangular brick dwelling faced with blue limestone in a Late Gothic Revival style. It has a service wing and the pentagonal library wing was added in 1896.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Exton Square Mall and Main Street at Exton are both located within Exton along with several other shopping centers, making Exton the major shopping district in Chester County.

Whitford is a populated place located southwest of Exton in Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is the location of the Whitford train station and the birthplace of Congressman Paul Dague. According to the previous source, the Whitford Lodge was once located just west of Pennsylvania Route 100 on U.S. Route 30 (now U.S. Route 30 Business), which is now at the edge of a shopping center.

Ivy Cottage is a historic residence located in Exton, a census-designated place in West Whiteland Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. Built in 1799 by politician and soldier Richard Thomas, the cottage started out as a plain stone farmhouse in the double-door Georgian style. It underwent extensive renovations and embellishments in the Queen Anne style in 1881 followed by an award-winning restoration in 2019. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 9, 2018.

The Whitford Lodge is a historic building located in Exton in West Whiteland Township, Pennsylvania, in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. Politician and soldier Richard Thomas constructed the lodge in 1782. It is one of three surviving historic residences constructed by Thomas in West Whiteland Township, the others being Whitford Hall and Ivy Cottage. It is in the Whiteland Towne Center where it was once an old inn that once sat next to the Exton Diner at the site of the Exton Drive In Theater. It once housed a branch of the Hudson United Bank which became TD Bank. According to another source, the building was built in 1788 where travelers would read a sign that said "Whitford Lodge - Team Room." The lodge was originally built along a rural stretch of U.S. Route 30 (now U.S. Route 30 Business), also known as the Lincoln Highway.

Built about 1796 by Richard Thomas, the house is a 2+1⁄2-story, five-bay brick dwelling in the Federal style. It has a gable roof with dormers, service wing, and frame additions. Also on the property are a stone shed, tenant house, and carriage house. It is one of three surviving historic residences constructed by Richard Thomas, the others being Whitford Lodge and Ivy Cottage.Whitford Hall was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
