Izumigaoka Station

Sakurai Shrine (桜井神社, Sakurai jinja, also 櫻井神社) is a Shinto shrine located in Sakai, Osaka Prefecture, Japan. It was founded at an unknown date and holds its annual festival on the first Sunday in October. It enshrines Emperor Ōjin, Emperor Chūai, and Empress Jingū as kami. The oratory (拝殿, haiden) is designated as the only Japanese National Treasure in Sakai City.

Senboku New Town (泉北ニュータウン, Senboku Nyū Taun) is an area in the Minami Ward of Sakai, Osaka and Izumi, Osaka, Japan. With an area of 1,557 hectares, its population is about 150,000. Sections of the New Town include Izumigaoka (population about 67,000), Toga (population about 39,000) and Komyoike (population about 36,000). The area is served by the Semboku Rapid Railway.

Minami-ku (南区) is a ward of the city of Sakai in Osaka Prefecture, Japan. The ward has an area of 40.44 km2 and a population of 155,266. The population density is 3,839 per km2. The name means "South Ward." The wards of Sakai were established when Sakai became a city designated by government ordinance on April 1, 2006.

Poole Gakuin College (プール学院大学短期大学部, Pūru Gakuin Daigaku Tanki Daigakubu) was a private Christian junior college in Minami-ku, Sakai, Osaka Prefecture, Japan.The college was established in 1950 and closed in 2021.

St. Andrew's University of Education (桃山学院教育大学, Momoyama gakuin kyōiku daigaku), formerly Poole Gakuin University (プール学院大学, Pũru Gakuin Daigaku), is a Christian private university in Sakai, Osaka, Japan. It is a part of the Momoyama Gakuin (学校法人桃山学院) organization. Poole Gakuin College received university status in 1995 and the university's first year began in 1996. It had an intercultural studies program as its first four-year program. The Japan University Accreditation Association accredited the university in 2001.

The name means "Central Ward." The wards of Sakai were established when Sakai became a city designated by government ordinance on April 1, 2006.

Tezukayama Gakuin University (帝塚山学院大学, Tezukayama gakuin daigaku) is a private university with campuses in the cities of Ōsakasayama and Sakai in Osaka Prefecture, Japan. The predecessor of the school was founded in 1916, and it was chartered as a junior women's college in 1950. In 2007, the school became coeducational.

Mitami Shrine Mitami-jinja 美多彌神社 (also 美多弥神社) is a Shinto shrine in Sakai, Osaka Prefecture, Japan. It is located in Senboku New Town near Komyoike Station. It is accessible on the Nankai bus line or the Semboku Rapid Railway. Mitami-jinja is mentioned in the Heian period chronicle Engishiki compiled in the early tenth century. The shrine buildings were destroyed by Oda Nobunaga's troops in 1577, but they were rebuilt in 1592 by Wada Dosan 和田道讃. Deities enshrined here include Ame-no-Koyane no mikoto (天児屋根命), Kumano no ookami (熊野大神), Itsukushima no ookami (厳島大神), Ookuninushi no mikoto (大国主命), Tenjin (Sugawara no Michizane, 菅原大神), Hachiman (八幡大神), Kotohira ookami (琴平大神), Susanoo no mikoto (素盞鳴男命) and Mikumari no kami (天水分大神). The shrine is famous locally for its comparatively large population of Lithocarpus glaber (Shiribukagashi シリブカガシ).

Ōsakasayama (大阪狭山市, Ōsakasayama-shi) is a city in Osaka Prefecture, Japan. As of 31 January 2022, the city had an estimated population of 58,465 in 26128 households and a population density of 4900 persons per km2. The total area of the city is 11.92 square kilometres (4.60 sq mi).

Sayama pond (狭山池, Sayama-ike) is an artificial reservoir located in the city of Ōsakasayama, Osaka Prefecture in the Kansai region of Japan. Constructed around the 6th century, it claims to be the oldest in Japan, based on chronological survey of potteries near the lake confirmed that the pond was completed in 7th century. The pond was designated a National Historic Site in 1946, and is listed as World Heritage Irrigation Structure by International Commission of Irrigation and Drainage.
