East Lavant

Lavant is a civil parish in the Chichester district of West Sussex, England, 2.2 miles (3.5 km) north of Chichester. It includes three villages: Mid Lavant and East Lavant, which are separate Anglican parishes, and the much smaller West Lavant. It takes its name from the River Lavant which flows from East Dean to Chichester. The A286 road between Chichester and Midhurst runs through the parish. The villages were served by a station in Mid Lavant, on the railway line that ran between Chichester and Midhurst, but this closed in stages between 1931 and 1991.

Lavant Railway Station served the village group of Lavant in the county of West Sussex in England. It was on the former London Brighton and South Coast Railway line between Midhurst and Chichester. The station building design featured a booking office on the level of the road nearby, passengers having to descend by stairs to the platform situated in a cutting. The building was designed by T. H. Myres in the LB&SCR's Country House style, which can be seen on stations on the preserved Bluebell Railway. The station opened on 11 July 1881, but passenger figures were not as hoped. The station lost its passenger services on 6 July 1935; freight, including sugar beet, remained. General freight services were withdrawn 3 August 1968, and sugar beet traffic continued only until January 1970; the station was now completely closed. The line was cut back south of the station to serve a gravel pit from 1972, but this in turn closed in 1991. The trackbed between here and the former junction with the West Coastway Line in Chichester is now part of the Centurion Way cycle path.The station building is now a private residence.

Lavant House (or West Lavant House) is a country house and estate in the parish of Lavant, West Sussex, England. It was used as a private school for girls until 2016.

Royal Air Force Westhampnett or more simply RAF Westhampnett is a former Royal Air Force satellite station, located in the village of Westhampnett near Chichester, in the English County of West Sussex. It was built as an emergency landing airfield for fighter aircraft, as a satellite station to RAF Tangmere. Built on land belonging to the Goodwood Estate, the then landowner, the Duke of Richmond, Frederick Gordon-Lennox retained the Title Deed to the land.

The Goodwood Revival is a three-day festival held each September at Goodwood Circuit since 1998 for the types of racing cars and motorcycles that would have competed during the circuit's original period—1948–1966.

Goodwood Roller Marathon was an annual charity race around the historic Goodwood Motor Circuit organised by the Camberley Skaters. The event officially raised money for the NSPCC and Young Epilepsy (formerly the NCYPE) with many participants also raising money for many other charities. The race was for any "non powered, small wheeled transport" such as Roller Skates (Inline & Quad), Longboards or Roller Skis.

Chichester/Goodwood Airport (IATA: QUG, ICAO: EGHR), normally referred to as Goodwood Airfield or Goodwood Aerodrome is located 1.5 nautical miles (2.8 km; 1.7 mi) north northeast of Chichester, West Sussex, England. Chichester (Goodwood) Aerodrome has a CAA Ordinary Licence (Number P781) that allows flights for the public transport of passengers or for flying instruction as authorised by the licensee (Goodwood Road Racing Company Limited).

Goodwood Circuit is a historic venue for both two- and four-wheeled motorsport in the United Kingdom. The 2.367-mile (3.809 km) circuit is situated near Chichester, West Sussex, close to the south coast of England, on the estate of Goodwood House, and completely encircles Chichester/Goodwood Airport. This is the racing circuit dating from 1948, not to be confused with the separate hillclimb course located at Goodwood House and first used in 1936.

Graylingwell Hospital (formerly the West Sussex County Asylum, or West Sussex County Lunatic Asylum) was a psychiatric hospital in Chichester, West Sussex, United Kingdom.

Brandy Hole Copse is a 6.5-hectare (16-acre) Local Nature Reserve on the western outskirts of Chichester in West Sussex. It is owned and managed by Chichester District Council. Part of it is a Scheduled Monument, Chichester Dyke.This site has broadleaved and coniferous woodland, open water, marshland, heath, tall fern and herbs. Fauna includes pipistrelle bats.There is access from Brandy Hole Lane and the Centurion Way runs through the site.

Campuses are based in the city of Chichester and the nearby coastal resort of Bognor Regis and an associate campus for commercial music on the Isle of Wight.The University of Chichester has 14 departments, with specialisms including Humanities, Sport, Musical Theatre, acting and Education. Its heritage stretches back into the nineteenth century when, in 1839, Bishop Otter College was established. Since 2013, both campuses have seen major expansion-led building works through National Lottery funding and other funding. The University of Chichester is a member of The Cathedrals Group.
