Black Lion Hospital or Tikur Anbessa Hospital (Amharic: ጥቁር አንበሳ ሆስፒታል) is a specialized hospital in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, established in 1964. It is a main teaching hospital for both preclinical and clinical training of most disciplines in the School of Medicine of Addis Ababa University. It offers specialized clinical service that is no compiled with both the public and private medical institutions in Ethiopia.

The Tiglachin Monument (Amharic: ትግላችን ሐውልት, lit. 'Our Struggle Monument'), also known as the Derg Monument (Amharic: ደርግ ሐውልት), is a memorial to Ethiopian and Cuban soldiers involved in the Ogaden War. It was built during the rule of Mengistu Haile Mariam and is located on Churchill Avenue in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The monument is composed of various elements: a central statue, a 50 m tall pillar, two wall reliefs on the sides and two squares where the portraits of Cuban soldiers are visible. Some sculptures at the monument was given by the North Korean government in 1984, and was one of the project’s first monuments to be donated to Africa.

The National Archives and Library of Ethiopia, located in Addis Ababa, is the national library and archives of the country. The library was inaugurated in 1944 by Emperor Haile Selassie and began service with books donated by the emperor.

The Lycée Guébré-Mariam (LGM) or Lycée franco-éthiopien Guébré-Mariam (Amharic: ገብረ ማርያም ትምህርት ቤት) is a French international school in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It was established in 1947 and ine the same year had integrated the Mission laïque française. It covers maternelle (preschool) through terminale, the final year of lycée (senior high school). It includes multilingual education in French, English and Amharic from preschool for all students. As of 2017, the school has about 1,800 students, ranging from 3 to 18 years.The French government spends around €4 million every year on LGM, which comes out to about €2,500 per student.

The National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE; Amharic: የኢትዮጵያ ብሔራዊ ባንክ, Oromo: Baankii Biyyooleessa Itoophiyaa) is the central bank of Ethiopia. Its headquarters are in the capital city of Addis Ababa. Mamo Mihretu is the current governor of the bank.The bank is active in promoting financial inclusion policy and is a member of the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI).

On 15 July 1960, at 09:04, Ethiopian Air Lines Flight 372, a C-47 Skytrain registered as ET-T-18, took off from Bulki, Ethiopia, on a short-haul flight to Aba Segud Airport, Jimma, Ethiopia. There were eight passengers, three crew and a cargo of coffee on board. At 09:40, the pilot requested the activation of the Jimma non-directional beacon (NDB) to assist his navigation. There was no further contact with the flight. The aircraft was found to have crashed at 9,400 feet into the side of a mountain 27.5 km (17.1 mi) south of Jimma, killing one of the pilots and leaving the passengers and remaining crew injured. The aircraft was damaged beyond repair.

Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital, also known as AAFH and Hamlin Fistula Hospital, is a women's health care hospital based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The hospital was founded by Australian physicians Catherine Hamlin and Reginald Hamlin, to care for women with childbirth injuries. It is the only hospital of its kind dedicated exclusively to treating women with obstetric fistula, a condition in the developing world where maternal health provisions are poor. All patients are treated free of charge. Patients undergo surgical repair by surgeons trained at the hospital's main facility in Addis Ababa. Around 93% of patients are successfully treated.

The Ethiopian Catholic Archeparchy of Addis Abeba, officially the Metropolitan sui iuris Archeparchy of Addis Abeba (Latin: Metropolitana sui iuris archieparchia Neanthopolitana) is the metropolitan see of the Ethiopian Catholic Church, a sui iuris metropolitan Eastern Catholic Church. The cathedral of the see is the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in the national capital Addis Ababa.It has three suffragan eparchies. Also in Ethiopia are nine Latin jurisdictions (Apostolic Vicariates and Apostolic Prefectures), which, not being of diocesan rank, are not organized as parts of an ecclesiastical province and are instead immediately subject to the Holy See. The Ethiopian Catholic Church reports to the Congregation for the Oriental Churches, while the Latin jurisdictions depend on the missionary Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples. The Catholics in the Latin jurisdictions are about six times as numerous as those in the Ethiopic jurisdictions.Unlike some other countries, where jurisdictions of the Latin Church and of one or more Eastern Catholic Churches overlap, all ecclesiastical jurisdictions in Ethiopia are geographically distinct and each territory has a single hierarch or ordinary. All the hierarchs and ordinaries are members of the interritual Episcopal Conference, which until the foundation of the Eritrean Catholic Church in 2015 also counted the Eritrean hierarchy as members and, from the 1993 declaration of the independence of Eritrea until 2015, was called the Episcopal Conference of Ethiopia and Eritrea. The episcopal conference is now again named without mention of Eritrea.The Metropolitan Archeparch of Addis Abeba is Cardinal Berhaneyesus Demerew Souraphiel, who is also president of the episcopal conference.

The International Lutheran Church (ILC) is the English-speaking congregation of the Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus (EECMY) which meets in the Lidetta section of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Although it follows the Lutheran confession and worship, ILC welcomes any Christian worshippers.

The Science and Technology Information Center (STIC) is an Ethiopian organisation which provides information to support scientific and technological (S&T) activities in the country. STIC has published information on the financing of research and development and on the nature and progress of innovative projects, and in 2014 was planning to introduce bibliometric monitoring of publications in S&T. The center has also provided information and communications technology facilities including a digital library, a patent information system, an automated personnel management system, and a S&T-related database.

The Ethiopian National Theatre is a national theatre in central Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
