Satelmond Palace in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India is one of the palaces that belonged to the Travancore Royal Family. It is situated in the Poojapura ward of Thiruvananthapuram city. Originally known as Vijaya Vilasam (roughly translated as "the Place of Victory"), it later became known as Satelmond Palace. It was the official residence of Sethu Lakshmi Bayi during her regency. During the late 1970s, it was gifted by the royal family to the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, which started its biomedical technology wing there. The queen's portrait still hangs in the hallway at the entrance of the main building.

Chengallur is a place near Poojappura, Trivandrum, Kerala, India, where the famous Chengallur Shiva temple is located. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Bhakti Vilas, also known as Bhakti Vilasom, was a state palace in Travancore, at Vazhuthacaud, in the capital Thiruvananthapuram, India, built at the end of the 19th century. It was formally the secondary official residence of the Diwan of Travancore outside of the royal fort complex, the primary official residence being Padma Vilas, but widely preferred by most Diwans. The style, that of a bungalow, hybridized traditional Malayali kovilakam architecture with western elements: the palace featured a traditional nadumuttam, or interior courtyard, but one spatially differing from the classical atrium of a Nālukettu. Bhakti Vilas further accented its semicircular arches with pilasters of a modified Ionic order. During the premiership of Sir C.P. Ramaswami Iyer, Bhakti Vilas was placed at his disposal as one of his official residences, although he extraordinarily also enjoyed Kanakakunnu Palace as his primary official residence. In 1952 Travancore Radio became All India Radio Thiruvananthapuram and its office shifted from Palayam to Bhakti Vilas Palace.

The Tagore theatre situating here is one of the longstanding cultural edifices of Thiruvananthapuram city. Seven-century-old temple of Lord Sree Mahaganapathi is situated at Vazhuthacaud.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Army Cantt. Pangode ( KV Pangode) is a co-educational central higher secondary school in Army Cantt. Pangode, Thirumala, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. Swathi Thirunal College of Music is a music college in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. It was founded in 1939. It was first named as "The Music Academy". The name was renamed as Swathi Thirunal College of Music in 1962. The founder of this institution was the last reigning King of Travancore, Sree Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma in 1939. The administration of the institution was under the control of the Travancore Royal Family earlier. Eminent musicians like Muthiah Bhagavathar who was the first Principal, Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer, etc. have served as Principals of this college.The primary objective of this venture was to popularize the kritits of Maharaja Sree Swathi Thirunal. The institution was renamed as Sree Swathi Thirunal College of Music in 1962.

Sree Dharma Sastha Temple is situated at Thycaud in Thiruvananthapuram City near to Govt. Model School and Govt. Arts College, Kerala, India. This ancient Hindu temple is dedicated to Lord Dharma Sastha (Lord Ayyappa Swamy). The distance from the temple to Thiruvananthapuram International Airport is 8 km and to the Central Railway Station and Bus Station is 1.5 km. The temple is administered by Nair Service Society.
