Mortensrud

Mortensrud is a rapid transit station on the Østensjø Line of the Oslo Metro. It is located in Mortensrud in the Søndre Nordstrand borough of Oslo, Norway. Construction of the station started in 1995, which was taken into use on 24 November 1997, when it became the terminal station of the line—following a 2.4 kilometres (1.5 mi) extension from Skullerud. The extension cost 215 million kr to build, and most of the section is in tunnels. The station is built in concrete, wood and stone, and cost NOK 35 million. It is served by line 3, in addition to being an important bus terminal for the borough, including a feeder service to Bjørndal. Travel time along the 13.6-kilometre (8.5 mi) section to the city center is 24 minutes. In 2001–02, the station had 2,077 daily boarding passengers. The station serves the surrounding residential area, as well as an adjacent shopping center. South of the station is a turning line for trains.

Bergkrystallen is the end station on the Lambertseter Line, after Munkelia, of the Oslo Metro. It is located in the Nordstrand borough. Bergkrystallen is a road just north of the station. The area is mainly residential. Originally it was planned to extend the Lambertseter Line to Mortensrud, but the Østensjø Line was extended instead. The station is served by Line 4. Bergkrystallen was opened as the end stop of the Lambertseter tram line in 1957, it was upgraded to a subway station in 1966. Although the subway system was formally opened by the king at Jernbanetorget on 22 May 1966, the king and mayor travelled the line to Bergkrystallen where there was a ceremonial bouquet presentation in front of a large audience.The building of more residential apartments on the station has met local resistance. In 2007, a proposal was made to build some terraced housing and a kindergarten on the station.

Skullerud (pronunciation ) is a station on Østensjø Line of the Oslo Metro, located in the Østensjø borough, between Bogerud and Mortensrud. Since its opening 26 November 1967, it was the end station of the line until Østensjøbanen was extended to Mortensrud in 1997. The area around Skullerud station has a mixture of residential areas and businesses, including the former centers for Norsk Data and Tandberg Radio. The station is also a node for several bus lines.

Hauketo is a neighborhood in the borough of Søndre Nordstrand in Oslo, Norway. It is mainly a residential area with detached housing as well as larger blocks. It is served by the Østfold Line station Hauketo. It is located south of Ljabru, east of Sloreåsen, west of Mortensrud and north of Holmlia and Prinsdal.

Lambertseter stadion is a multi-purpose stadium in the Oslo borough of Nordstrand. It is currently used by the football team Manglerud Star for their home games. The pitch surrounded by a running track, Lambertseter stadion was used as the main track and field stadium in Oslo while Bislett stadion was renovated in 2004. The stadium has a small clubhouse/changing area, and some good floodlights. There is no seating, and only a small area of terracing along one side of the ground.

Munkelia is the second last station on Lambertseter Line of the Oslo Metro, between Lambertseter and Bergkrystallen, 10.0 km (6.2 mi) from Stortinget. The station is served by Lines 1 and 4. The station is located just north of the entrance of one of the few tunnels on this subway line. The entrance to the two platforms is to the south. The station was opened 22 May 1966. Hauketo Station (Norwegian: Hauketo Stasjon) is a railway station on the Østfold Line. It is located in the Hauketo neighborhood in the Søndre Nordstrand borough of Oslo, Norway. Situated 8.68 kilometers (5.39 mi) from Oslo Central Station (Oslo S), it features two side platforms. Hauketo is served by the Line L2 of the Oslo Commuter Rail, providing two to four services each hour. The station opened on 15 February 1925, after the Østfold Line had been moved to avoid the Ljan Viaduct. Its original wooden station building is now a pizzeria. The station has been unmanned since 1980. Eight Ruter bus lines feed the station.

Lambertseter Church is a church center in Oslo, Norway. The church center from 1966 contains distinctive art in the church room, congregation hall and chapel. The seven meter high altarpiece is in brass, copper, steel, iron and glass delivered to the church's consecration, one of the artist Finn Christensen's main works.The wall in the congregation hall is adorned with a large work of glass and steel by Benny Motzfeldt on loan from the Oslo municipal art collection from 2003. The chapel has an altarpiece by Tor Lindrupsen (2000) who also made the sandblasted window in the choir at the church room's baptismal font (1997). In 1999, eight new chandeliers were mounted into the church. The church organ has 20 voices. The stone reliefs on the southern long wall are created by Einar Stoltenberg.The church building is in reinforced concrete, the facades are dazzled with brick. The roofs are flat. Next to the church is a separate bell tower. There are three church bells, created by Olsen Nauen Bell Foundry in 1966. The bells are named "Faith", "Hope" and the largest church bell, "Love".Lambertseter Church is listed by the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage.

Ljabru is a hill and neighborhood in the borough of Nordstrand in Oslo, Norway. It is mainly a residential area with detached housing as well as larger blocks. It is served by the Ekeberg Line terminal station Ljabru. It is located south of Nordstrand, east of Ljan, west of Mortensrud and north of Hauketo.

Bjørndal is a suburb of Oslo, Norway, part of the borough of Søndre Nordstrand. Its population is estimated to be about 9,900 residents. Bjørndal has two primary schools, respectively named "Bjørndal skole" and "Seterbråten skole", a middle school named "Bjørnholt Ungdomsskole" and a high school named "Bjørnholt videregående skole". This school is also known to arrange an entrepreneur camp each year. There are also several private and public kindergartens in the area. Bjørndal is characterized by much development and has a very good sports environment. Bjørndal Idrettsforening has a lot of equipment that can be allocated free for children and young people who want to borrow. Their sports park includes four football pitches, two tennis courts, and a half-pipe, and much more. Bjørndal is a young suburb where the construction began in 1983. The housing is dominated by terraced houses and detached houses, villas, and blocks. The suburb is located on the west side of the E6 (or on the right side when driving south from the center of Oslo). Stores in Bjørndal are "Coop Prix", which is a supermarket store with mail service, a Turkish grocery store, a building supply store named "Orring byggsenter" which recently changed name into "Montér", and there are two fast food restaurants. There are also located a medical practice senter and a dental office which offer medical services to all of Bjørndal's residents. Bjørndal can be reached by bus line number 71A, 71B, 77 and 70N, and are within the ordinary Oslo- rates. .

Nordstrand Church is a church in Oslo, Norway. The church was consecrated in 1866 as Østre Aker Chapel and was later renamed Sæter Chapel. In 1905 the Nordstrand congregation was established, and the following year the church changed its name again to Nordstrand Church. The church was built in red brick in neo-Gothic style by architect Jacob Wilhelm Nordan. In 1886 a sacristy was added, and in 1935 it was extended and given a new church tower to the west, drawn by architect Georg Greve. The last and largest expansion took place in 2014 to 2015. Then the church was extended 26 meters to the east and the church congregation got new facilities in the basement. The number of seats in the church room was increased from approx. 300 to 480. Architects for the remodeling work were Are Meinich and Trine-Lise Sonne. The church was reconsecrated on Sunday, August 23, 2015, by bishop of Oslo Ole Christian Kvarme.The church is surrounded by a cemetery.The Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage has listed Nordstrand Church as a church site, and approved the recent renovations and extensions.
