Christian Light is an unincorporated community located in the Hectors Creek Township of Harnett County, North Carolina, United States. It is a part of the Dunn Micropolitan Area, which is also a part of the greater Raleigh–Durham–Cary Combined Statistical Area (CSA) as defined by the United States Census Bureau. According to the Section L35 of the Harnett County Heritage Book, "Christian Light comprises an area along Christian light Road, Kipling Road and Cokesbury Rd and bounded on the West by Hectors Creek and on the West by Avents Creek. The center of the community being the intersection of Christian Light Road and State Road 1403 (Kipling and Cokesbury Road)".The community consists of two gas stations, two churches, and a fire department (Northwest Harnett Fire Department)

Harrington-Dewar House is a historic house located near Duncan, NC, Harnett County, North Carolina. The main house dates to 1865, and is a two-story frame I-house with vernacular Greek Revival style design elements. At the rear is an older two-room house built in about 1850 and consists of a 1+1⁄2-story gabled kitchen and dining room wing. Originally the back ell rooms were entered via the front porch at the time, which became the side porch when the 2 story house was added in 1865. The house was moved to its original location in 1977 when it was cited to be burned down by the owners. It was purchased and moved 5 miles within the Cokesbury Community near the village of Duncan, NC. https://files.nc.gov/ncdcr/nr/HT0123.pdf It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.Harrington-Dewar House is now located on a 30-acre tract of old-growth hardwood forest ridge land which rolls downward to Parker Creek. The Davis–Adcock Store is a historic general store located at Wilbon, North Carolina, a crossroads north of Fuquay-Varina, in Wake County, North Carolina. The building was constructed in 1906, and is a one-story, frame, gable-front building, with a standing-seam metal roof and a stepped-parapet false front. The community store served not only as a local distribution center for goods and services, but also as a center of community social life. The building also housed the local post office from 1906 until 1925.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in September 2006.

Cokesbury is an unincorporated community located in the Buckhorn Township of Harnett County, North Carolina, United States. It is a part of the Dunn Micropolitan Area, which is also a part of the greater Raleigh–Durham–Cary Combined Statistical Area (CSA) as defined by the United States Census Bureau. The community was named for Methodist bishops Thomas Coke and Francis Asbury. The Buckhorn Iron Furnace, a former landmark near here, operated during the Civil War until 1873.(Powell 1968, p. 112)

Geographically, Buckhorn Township occupies 28.75 square miles (74.5 km2) in northwestern Harnett County. There are no incorporated municipalities located in Buckhorn Township, however, there are several unincorporated communities located here, including the communities of Cokesbury and Duncan. The township's northern border is with Wake County. Parkers Creek rises and joins the Cape Fear River within this township.

The Samuel Bartley Holleman House is a historic home located in New Hill, North Carolina, an unincorporated community in southwestern Wake County. Constructed in 1913, the 2+1⁄2-story building is an example of Queen Anne and Colonial Revival architecture. Other buildings on the property include a wellhouse, pumphouse, engine house, smokehouse, and wash house.In January 2008, the Samuel Bartley Holleman House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

There are no incorporated municipalities located in Hectors Creek Township, however, there are several unincorporated communities located there, including the communities of Chalybeate Springs, Kipling and Rawls. The township's northern border is with Wake County. Hector Creek rises and joins the Cape Fear River within this township.

Fuquay Mineral Spring is a historic mineral spring located at Fuquay-Varina, Wake County, North Carolina. The spring was discovered in the 1850s, and, from 1900 to 1930, thousands of people visited the spring to drink the mineral water reputed to cure kidney and intestinal ailments. The spring is covered by a gazebo and reached by a small footbridge.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Ben-Wiley Hotel is a historic hotel building located at Fuquay-Varina, Wake County, North Carolina. It was built in 1925, and is a Bungalow / American Craftsman style frame building consisting of two hip-roofed blocks; the two-story main block with a hip roofed front porch, and a two-story rear block. It is sheathed in weatherboard and has widely overhanging eaves. It was converted from 12 hotel rooms to 6 apartments in 1947.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
