Kariavattom Sastha Temple is a Hindu temple located in Kariavattom in Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala state, India. The temple is dedicated to lord Ayyappa and it lies on the NH-49 (Kanyakumari-Salem highway), about 13 km from Thiruvananthapuram city.

St. Mary's Malankara Syrian Catholic Cathedral, Pattom, Trivandrum is the central place of worship of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church. It is the seat of the Major Archbishop of Trivandrum. The tombs of the Servant of God Archbishop Geevarghese Mar Ivanios, Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios and of Major Archbishop Cyril Baselios Catholicos are located here. The foundation stone of this cathedral was laid by Archbishop Mar Ivanios in 1950, and the cathedral was consecrated by Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios on 22 February 1965. Pope John Paul II visited the cathedral on 8 February 1986. The cathedral was renovated in 2008. The blessing of the renovated cathedral was on 8 November 2008. There were 531 families in the parish community.

St. Mary's Higher Secondary School is a primary and secondary school in Thiruvananthapuram, India. It is founded in 1940 by Archbishop Geevarghese Mar Ivanios. It is considered one of the largest schools in Asia, with the total number of students exceeding 14,000.

Pattom is a dense commercial region of Thiruvananthapuram city in Kerala, India. It is located approximately 4 kilometres north of centre of Thampanoor. It makes as one of the busy intersections in Thiruvananthapuram with the meeting point of four roads including NH 66 to North Kerala as well as a Road to Kowdiar Palace. Trivandrum International Airport at Shanghumugham is 7 km (4.3 mi) away and Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station is 4 km (2.5 mi) away. Pattom is home to a significant Christian community. Cardinal Baselios Cleemis, the head of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church, served as the archbishop of St. Mary's Cathedral in Pattom prior to being elevated to the College of Cardinals.

Sarvodaya Vidyalaya is a school of the Major Archiepiscopal Eparchy of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church. Situated on the Bethany Hills at Nalanchira, Sarvodaya was founded on 3 January 1973 by Benedict Mar Gregorios, the Metropolitan Archbishop of Trivandrum. The school is one of the few schools in the district which provides ISC and ICSE syllabi, the most advanced course in the country. The school has a population of 4,500 students and over 120 teachers. The motto of the school is "Let there be light".

Cliff House is the official residence of the Chief Minister of Kerala, located at Nanthancode in the state capital Thiruvananthapuram. The Cliff House is part of Cliff House compound, which houses four other ministerial residences and is located within the state ministerial residential zone. However, the house is a statutory-only official residence, as Indian laws and protocols do not stipulate that ministers live in any particular residence; rather the law defines the minister's actual residence, whether owned privately or by government, as the official residence. Cliff House is preferred as official residence by most of Chief Ministers of Kerala.

Mar Theophilus Training College is a Syro-Malankara Catholic Church teacher training college. It is administered by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Trivandrum. Major Arch Bishop H.B. Baselios Cardinal Cleemmis Catholicos of Thiruvanathapuram is the Patron and Manager of the college. MTTC was in 1956 as an affiliated College to the University of Kerala, with J.Y. Thampi Haris as the first principal. Dr. K.Y.Benedict is the current principal. MTTC offers courses for Bachelor of Education and Master of Education degrees. At present the college has 21 teaching faculty faculty members, 16 in B.Ed and 5 in M.Ed. It has affiliation for D.El.Ed. too. The present building complex and campus were constructed between 1999 and 2001, in order to facilitate MTTC becoming the first college in Kerala State with all the specifications set by the National Council of Teacher Education. The college offers Ph.D. research facility as a centre of Research under University of Kerala. So far 47 Research candidates are on role; four of which graduated with Ph.D. from University of Kerala The college is the first Accredited Teacher Education college under University of Kerala with Grade A in 2005. In the second cycle of Re-Accreditation the college maintained A grade with AGPA 3.25. It has got re-accredited in the third cycle in 2022. New floor is under construction under RUSA 2.0 scheme. Now the college is ISO (1995:2001) certified and a permanent member with consultative status with United Nations Academic Impact. The Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram (also known as Thiruvananthapuram Medical College or Trivandrum Medical College) is in Thiruvananthapuram (the capital of Kerala), India. Founded in 1951, it was inaugurated by Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and is Kerala's first ever Medical College. Its campus houses several hospitals and institutions in addition to Medical College Hospital (MCH), including the Colleges of Nursing and Pharmaceutical sciences, the Regional Cancer Centre; an autonomous institution under Central Government, Thiruvananthapuram Dental College, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology; another autonomous institute under Govt of India, the Priyadarshini Institute of Paramedical Sciences, the Sree Avittom Thirunal Hospital for Women and Children (SAT Hospital), where the highest number of deliveries are reported in Asia, Child development centre (CDC) an autonomous institution under state government and the Multidisciplinary Research Laboratory (MDRL). The Regional Institute of Ophthalmology (RIO), also a part of the college, is being upgraded to a national-level independent institute.
