Yashima Gakuen University (八洲学園大学, Yashima gakuen daigaku) is a private distance learning university in Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It was established in 2004.

The Hara Model Railway Museum (原鉄道模型博物館, Hara Tetsudō Mokei Hakubutsukan) is a model railway museum in Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Japan, which opened on 10 July 2012. Managed by Mitsui Fudosan, the museum houses the extensive collection of model trains built and amassed by the Japanese model railway enthusiast Nobutaro Hara (原 信太郎, Hara Nobutarō). The museum covers an area of approximately 1,700 m², with the display area covering an area of approximately 1,200 m².

Tobe Station (戸部駅, Tobe-eki) is a passenger railway station located in Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, operated by the private railway company Keikyū.

Tobe (戸部町, Tobe-chō) is a district in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It was formerly a town chartered in 1859 as a governmental center for the Port of Yokohama, though only a portion of it remains as present-day Tobe. The current district consists of seven sub-districts, Tobe-chō 1-chōme to 7-chōme, and does not implement the Japanese district-block-lot addressing system. As of 2021, it had a population of 4,046.

Pia Arena MM (ぴあアリーナMM) is a dedicated music arena in Minatomirai, Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, operated by Pia Corporation. Before the official name was decided, it was tentatively called "Pia MM Arena".

Kamonyama Park (Japanese: 掃部山公園) is a park in Nishi-ku, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Located on a hill overlooking Minato Mirai 21, a statue of Naosuke Li, who played key role in the opening of Yokohama Port in 1859, stands in the park. the park is also a popular destination for cherry blossoms during spring.

Yokohama Anpanman Children's Museum (横浜アンパンマンこどもミュージアム, Yokohama Anpanman Kodomo Myūjiamu) is a complex in Minato Mirai 21, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Dedicated to Takashi Yanase's popular Anpanman franchise. It is one of five such complexes in Japan (the others being in Kobe, Sendai, Nagoya and Fukuoka). In 2019, this facility moved to the neighborhood, removed "& Mall" from the facility name and renamed it "Yokohama Anpanman Children's Museum".

Yokohama Museum of Art (横浜美術館, Yokohama Bijutsukan), founded in 1989, is located in the futuristic Minato Mirai 21 district of the Japanese city Yokohama, next to the Yokohama Landmark Tower.

The Sakuragichō train fire (桜木町事故, Sakuragichō jiko) occurred on April 24, 1951, when a 63 series Keihin Line (now part of the Negishi Line) train approaching Sakuragichō Station in Yokohama hit a loose overhead wire causing a short circuit and starting a fire which killed 106 people and injured 92.

Yokohama Station (横浜駅, Yokohama-eki) is a major interchange railway station in Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Japan. It is the busiest station in Kanagawa Prefecture and the fifth-busiest in the world as of 2013, serving 760 million passengers a year.

Marinos Town (マリノスタウン, Marinosu Taun) was a football (soccer) venue in Yokohama, Japan. The official name is "Yokohama F.Marinos MM21 Training Center". It was the head office and training facility of the Yokohama F.Marinos. It was located in the Minato Mirai 21 (Nishi-ku) area of Yokohama. The closest station to Marinos Town was Shin-Takashima Station on the Minato Mirai Line. Before moving to Marinos Town, the Yokohama F.Marinos trained in Totsuka training center (Totsuka-ku) and had their front office at Shin-Koyasu (Kanagawa-ku). This was considered to be detrimental to the smooth running of the club. The construction plan was announced on November 29, 2004. Work start of training pitches and shops on June 17, 2006, and other facilities on January 27, 2007. This new training facility has the clubhouse, front office and training pitches all in one location to aid communication between players and staff. In addition, it is more conveniently located near to Yokohama Station and Shin-Takashima Station for easy fan access. Marinos Town also contains a number of futsal pitches which are available for public hire. However, some controversy has been caused by the building of Marinos Town. The large expense of the project has meant that the finances of the team have become stretched. Supporters of the club point to the release of players such as Tatsuhiko Kubo, Daisuke Oku and Dutra as proof of this. Indeed, there is a certain amount of displeasure directed towards chairman Shigeo Hidaritomo because of these problems.
