Parish of Wallaroo

Wallaroo is a rural locality in New South Wales close to the Australian Capital Territory. It lies north of the Australian Capital Territory border, north west of Hall, west of the Barton Highway, and east of the Murrumbidgee River. It is approximately 19 kilometres north-west of the Australian city of Canberra. At the 2016 census, it had a population of 707.The cadastral unit in the area is known as Wallaroo Parish. Between 1981–1990, the Serbian Orthodox Church constructed the St. Sava monastery at Wallaroo. Established as the headquarters of the Serbian Orthodox Eparchy of Australia and New Zealand, the church is modeled on the Kalenić monastery in Serbia, built in the 15th century.

Dunlop is at the far north-west edge of Canberra, near the border with the state of New South Wales. Approximately 11.6 kilometres (7.2 mi) north-west of the city, Dunlop is next to the suburbs of Fraser, Charnwood and Macgregor. At the edge and within Dunlop lies the Canberra Nature Park called Dunlop Grasslands Nature Reserve, West Belconnen Ponds, Jarramlee Pond and Fassifern Pond which are part of the Ginninderra Catchment.Dunlop is named after Lieutenant Colonel Sir Ernest Edward "Weary" Dunlop, an Australian surgeon who was renowned for his leadership while being held prisoner of war by the Japanese during the Second World War. Streets in Dunlop are named after inventors, inventions and artists.

Ginninderra Parish is one of the 54 parishes of Murray County, New South Wales, a cadastral unit for use on land titles. It is now about half the size it was in the nineteenth century, after land in the parish was transferred to the Australian Capital Territory in 1911. It once included what are now the north-western suburbs of Belconnen, as well as Hall and part of Western Gungahlin, including Harcourt Hill in the modern suburb of Nicholls.

Macgregor () is a residential suburb in the Belconnen district of Canberra, located within the Australian Capital Territory, Australia. It was gazetted on 9 September 1971. It lies next to the suburbs of Dunlop, Latham and Holt on the western side of Belconnen, with Florey Drive the boundary to the east, Ginninderra Drive on the north, and Southern Cross Drive on the south. The suburb of Macgregor is named after Sir William MacGregor, Governor of Queensland 1909–14 and first chancellor of the University of Queensland, 1911. Streets are named after members of the Australian medical professions.

Strathnairn is located west of the suburb Holt. Land releases were made available as a joint project titled Ginninderry by the ACT Government's Suburban Land Agency and Riverview Developments. The development includes housing, retail and community infrastructure. Strathnairn is designated as a cat containment suburb.

It was gazetted on 2 July 1970 and was named after Harold Holt, Prime Minister of Australia 1966–67. Streets are named after sportsmen and sportswomen.Holt is bounded by Southern Cross Drive, Starke Street, MacNaughton Street, Drake Brockman Drive and the edge of the Belconnen Magpies golf course. It also borders on open farm and bushland, and is a short distance away from the Molongolo river. Ginninderra Falls Tourist Park and Parkwood, a very small light industrial area, are also nearby. It adjoins the suburbs of Higgins, Latham, Macgregor and Strathnairn. The suburb contains Kippax Centre, a group centre serving the surrounding area, including the Kippax Fair shopping centre.

Kippax Fair is a shopping centre in the western Canberra suburb of Holt, Australian Capital Territory, Australia. Named after cricketer Alan Kippax, it serves the West Belconnen region, and is anchored by a Woolworths Supermarket, an Aldi discount supermarket, and other stores, restaurants, cafeterias, bars, and community services.
