Mount Judd (also known colloquially as The Nuneaton Nipple) is a man made hill and landmark in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, England. It is the former spoil tip of the Judkins Quarry, which extracted granite in the area. Mount Judd is a famous local landmark and in 2018 was voted the United Kingdom's "best landmark" in a Daily Mirror poll. At 158 metres (518 feet) altitude it is the 3,306th highest hill in England.

Nuneaton Abbey Street was the second main railway station serving Nuneaton in Warwickshire, England, It operated between 1864 and closure in 1968. The other main station being Nuneaton Trent Valley which is still open, but now known as simply Nuneaton. The station served the Birmingham-Nuneaton-Leicester Line and also the now closed Ashby and Nuneaton Joint Railway. It was originally opened on 1 December 1864 by the Midland Railway on their line from Birmingham to Nuneaton. The station was rebuilt on a slightly different location in 1873, when the Ashby and Nuneaton Joint Railway was opened. The station was designed by the Midland Railway company architect John Holloway Sanders. Until 2 June 1924 it was known as Nuneaton Midland. It was renamed as Nuneaton Abbey Street to avoid confusion with Trent Valley station, when the Midland Railway and the London and North Western Railway were grouped to create the London, Midland and Scottish Railway (LMS). The station came under the control of British Railways in 1948. The station was closed on 4 March 1968, and all services were diverted through Trent Valley station. Today, trains still run past the site of the station on the Birmingham-Leicester-Peterborough Line, but little physical trace of the station remains, as the platforms and most of the station buildings have been removed. In 2018 the only remaining remnant of the station was a former waiting room, now within a private garden.

Weddington Castle, or Weddington Hall, was a manor house in the village of Weddington, Nuneaton in Warwickshire. Evolving from a Royal Hunting Lodge in the ancient village of Weddington to become an extensive fortified Hall set amidst landscaped gardens, this centuries-old building was demolished in 1928 to make way for a housing estate. Earliest references to Weddington Castle date from 1566, when it was mentioned in a suit. Only conjectures can be made about its history. It is believed to have been built by Thomas, Marquess of Dorset. In 1491, he enclosed the entire manor of Weddington, converted the entire piece of land to pasture, in the process turning 300 acres fallow. Records also tell of ten houses being left to go to ruins and over 60 people chased out of their homes.The manor changed hands after Thomas's son, the Duke of Suffolk, forfeited. The Crown leased the manor until 1561 to a certain Mr. Trye, who rebuilt the village, turning it into a farming commune. In 1730, there were four farmhouses and the castle in the manor. The manor of Weddington never truly was heavily populated; even in 1901 there were hardly a hundred people living there. Only recently, with the development of Nuneaton, have houses cropped up and the population begin to rise.Sir Samuel St. Swithin Burden Whalley (15 July 1799 – 3 February 1883) was a British Radical politician. Born into a Lancashire family "of great antiquity", he was the son of Samuel Whalley of Weddington Hall, Warwickshire.

Nuneaton Priory was a medieval Benedictine monastic house in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, England. It was founded as a daughter house of the Order of Fontevraud in 1153. The priory was initially founded by Robert de Beaumont and Gervase Paganell in 1153 at Kintbury in Berkshire as a daughter house of Fontevraud Abbey in France. Soon afterwards, in around 1155 the foundation was moved to Etone (or Eaton) in Warwickshire, which subsequently became known as Nuneaton.Nuneaton Priory must have become "denizen", that is, a naturalised English monastery, around the time of the suppression of the alien priories, since there was a prior of Nuneaton still in 1424 and other mentions are then found. At various moments, the women's house at Nuneaton was large, containing 93 nuns in 1234 and 89 in 1328, but the Black Death will have taken its toll, and later the house numbered 46 nuns in 1370, about 40 in 1459, only 23 in 1507 and at the end, in 1539, 27 in total, of whom 25 were granted pensions. The 1535 Valor Ecclesiasticus, Henry VIII's pre-seizure survey, showed a net annual income for the priory of some 253 pounds.The seal of Nuneaton Priory depicted the Virgin Mary in the pose of the Seat of Wisdom (Sedes sapientiae), which was a common motif for seals of nunneries in medieval England, though not the majority choice. The motif entails a depiction of the Blessed Virgin seated and facing forward, presenting or holding the Christ Child on her lap. The nunnery was seized in 1539 during King Henry VIII's Dissolution of the Monasteries, and subsequently fell into ruin.

Weddington is an area of Nuneaton and former civil parish, in the Nuneaton and Bedworth district, in the county of Warwickshire, England. It bounded on the northeast by Watling Street, and on the west by the River Anker. The Ward population taken at the 2011 census was 7,256. In 1921 the parish had a population of 87.It is surrounded on the west and south by the Anker, and comprises the church, Rectory, Church Farm, the Grove, and the grounds of the former Weddington Castle. A branch road leading south from Watling Street passes through the village.

Nuneaton Cricket Club Ground is a cricket ground in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. The first recorded match played by Nuneaton Cricket Club was in 1826. In 1880 Nuneaton played a United South of England Eleven. The ground hosted its first first-class match in 1912, when Warwickshire played Leicestershire. The following season the ground held its second first-class match, which was between Warwickshire and Gloucestershire. The third and final first-class match held on the ground came in 1914 when Warwickshire played Sussex.Nuneaton won the Warwickshire League Premier Division in 2016 under the captaincy of Lee Mcneill. Additionally, the ground held several Second XI Championship matches for the Warwickshire Second XI between 1959 and 1964. In 1982, the ground hosted a single match in the ICC Trophy between Canada and Gibraltar.In local domestic cricket, the ground is the home venue of Nuneaton Cricket Club.

The Abbey Theatre is situated on Pool Bank Street in the Abbey Ward of Nuneaton, England, and is managed and run by volunteers by the Nuneaton Arts Council (NAC). The venue hosts performances including visiting theatre companies, touring shows, musicals, pantomime and drama, dance, comedy and film screenings. The theatre's manager is Tony Deeming. It is run as a charity by Nuneaton Arts Council. The theatre's charity number is 259613. With a regular annual attendance of over 30,000, the Abbey is the only public theatre in Nuneaton and one of the busiest venues in Warwickshire.

Manor Park was the former stadium of Nuneaton Borough A.F.C. 22,114 spectators packed into the ground for an FA Cup tie against Rotherham United in 1967. The club moved away from Manor Park at the beginning of the 2007–08 season to a new home at Liberty Way which they share with Nuneaton R.F.C. In 2008 Manor Park was demolished and housing was built on the site. Manor Park staged the first ever official home match of the England women's national team on 23 June 1973, an 8–0 victory over Scotland watched by a crowd of 1,310.

The Abbeygate Shopping Centre (sometimes mistakenly referred to as 'Abbey Gate Shopping Precinct') is a shopping centre in the town centre of Nuneaton, Warwickshire, England. It was first opened in the 1960s and was originally known as Heron Way, and was once home to an indoor market. During a refurbishment in the 1990s a glass atrium roof was fitted and it was renamed Abbeygate. It now comprises 40 retail units. The centre has a retail mix of multi-nationals and small independents.The anchor stores were Argos and Peacocks. In 2020, Peacocks permanently closed down in the shopping centre, however it has since reopened once again in 2021 after a buyer was found. The reason for Argos' closure was due to Sainsbury's closing their standalone high-street stores as part of a "reorganisation". Argos still operate as a 'click and collect' branch inside the Vicarage Street Sainsbury's supermarket.In October 2010 the main post office for the town relocated from the outside of the centre to an internal shop.The centre is privately owned. In April 2018 it was sold to a mystery local property company for £4.3 million; considerably less than the £17 million the previous owners had paid for it in 2005.Since 14 January 2021, the former BrightHouse store, located inside of the Abbeygate Shopping Centre, is currently being used as a vaccination centre during the coronavirus pandemic.

Nuneaton ( nə-NEE-tən) is a market town in the borough of Nuneaton and Bedworth in northern Warwickshire, England, located adjacent to the county border with Leicestershire to the north-east. Nuneaton's population at the 2021 census was 88,813, making it the largest town in Warwickshire. Nuneaton's larger urban area, which also includes the large adjoining villages of Bulkington and Hartshill had a population of 99,372 in the 2021 census.Originally a small riverside settlement known as Etone, Nuneaton gained its name from a medieval nunnery which was established in the 12th century, during which it also became a small market town. It later developed into an important industrial town due to ribbon weaving and coal mining. The author George Eliot was born on a farm on the Arbury Estate just outside Nuneaton in 1819 and lived in the town for much of her early life. Her novel Scenes of Clerical Life (1858) depicts Nuneaton. There is a hospital named after her, The George Eliot Hospital. There is also a statue of George Eliot in the town centre.

The Ropewalk Shopping Centre is a shopping centre in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, England. It has a glass roof (which is not connected to the building), two floors retail stores, including high street retailers, and also a car park.
