High Shoals, North Carolina

Hardins is an unincorporated community in Gaston County, North Carolina, United States. It is located approximately 2.0 miles (3.2 km) south of the town of High Shoals.

WLNK (107.9 FM) is a commercial radio station licensed to serve Charlotte, North Carolina. The station is owned by Urban One. WLNK broadcasts an adult contemporary radio format. Studios are located at One Julian Price Place on West Morehead Street, just west of Uptown Charlotte, and the station shares a broadcast tower with former television partner WBTV located near Dallas at (35°21′51.0″N 81°11′12.0″W). WLNK broadcasts using HD Radio.

WOSF (105.3 FM) is an urban adult contemporary station licensed to Gaffney, South Carolina; serving the Charlotte, North Carolina market. WOSF is the Charlotte affiliate of the Rickey Smiley Morning Show. Owned by Urban One, the station's studios are located in South Charlotte near Carowinds, and the transmitter site is located in Dallas, North Carolina. WOSF is the only commercial station licensed to the South Carolina side of the market that brands itself as a full-market Charlotte station. Indeed, it is the only South Carolina-licensed commercial station that covers Charlotte to any significant extent.

WBTV (channel 3) is a television station in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States, affiliated with CBS and owned by Gray Television. The station's studios are located off Morehead Street, just west of Uptown Charlotte, and its transmitter is located in north-central Gaston County. In addition, WBTV's studios continue to house the operations of its former sister radio stations currently owned by Urban One: WBT-AM/FM and WLNK, as well as WFNZ, which was previously owned by CBS Radio prior to its acquisition by Beasley Broadcast Group in 2014, followed by Entercom (now known as Audacy) in late 2017 and then Urban One in 2020 under a local marketing agreement.

Magnolia Grove is a historic plantation house located near Iron Station, Lincoln County, North Carolina. It was built about 1824, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, five bay by two bay, style brick dwelling with a Quaker plan interior. It has a gable roof, sits on a full raised basement, and one-story hip-roof porches on the front and rear facades.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, with a boundary increase in 1997.

Ashebrook Park is an unincorporated community in Gaston County, North Carolina, United States. It is located approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) northwest of Dallas.

WMYT-TV (channel 55) is a television station licensed to Rock Hill, South Carolina, United States, serving the Charlotte, North Carolina area as an affiliate of MyNetworkTV. It is the only major commercial television station in the Charlotte market to be licensed to a community in South Carolina. WMYT-TV is owned by Nexstar Media Group alongside Belmont, North Carolina–licensed Fox affiliate WJZY (channel 46). Both outlets share studios on Performance Road (along I-85) in unincorporated northwestern Mecklenburg County (with a Charlotte mailing address); through a channel sharing agreement, the stations transmit using WJZY's spectrum from an antenna in Dallas, North Carolina, along the Catawba River. WMYT-TV is branded as My 12, in reference to its channel location on most Charlotte area cable providers.

WGTB-CD (channel 28) is a low-power, Class A religious television station in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. The station's transmitter is located near Dallas, North Carolina, along the Catawba River. WGTB-CD is owned by Victory Christian Center, a charismatic megachurch in Charlotte, which also owns a network of gospel music stations fronted by WOGR (1540 AM) in Charlotte. Together, they form the Word of God Broadcasting Network, and operate from studios on the campus of the church's middle school on Carrier Drive (near the I-85–Beatties Ford Road interchange) in north Charlotte.

WPEG (97.9 FM, "Power 98") is a mainstream urban radio station serving the Charlotte, North Carolina market. It is owned by Beasley Broadcast Group. The station's studios are located on South Boulevard in the city's South End, and a transmitter tower is located north of Dallas, North Carolina. WPEG features sports from Fox Sports Radio on its HD 2 channel.

Studios are located on South Boulevard in Charlotte's South End and the station's broadcast tower is located near Dallas, North Carolina at (35°21′44.5″N 81°9′18.3″W).

Dallas Township is a township in north-central Gaston County, North Carolina, United States. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 21,436. It includes the incorporated towns of Dallas, High Shoals (a portion of which is in Cherryville Township), and Stanley (shared with Riverbend Township). It also includes small portions of the city of Gastonia and a small outlying portion of the town of Ranlo. Unincorporated areas in the township include Alexis, Hardins, Ashebrook Park, and Vinton Woods.

North Gaston High School is a public high school in the Gaston County Schools school district located in Dallas, North Carolina, United States. Its attendance range covers the central portion of northern Gaston County and it also serves the communities of Ranlo, Hardins, High Shoals, Ashebrook Park, Spencer Mountain, and parts of North Gastonia, as well as the surrounding rural areas. George Conner serves as principal. Assistant principals are Mary Beth Edwards, Marsha Michael and Jon Stauffer. Mike Patton serves as athletic director. Feeder middle schools are W.C. Friday and Holbrook.
