North Carolina Electrical Power Company Electric Generating Plant, also known as Elk Mountain Steam Generating Plant, is a historic power station located at Woodfin, Buncombe County, North Carolina. It was built in 1916, and is a tall one-story, rectangular brick and concrete building. It measures 78 feet wide and 165 feet long. It features a 250 foot tall original brick smokestack.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

Reynolds House is a historic home located at Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina. It was built about 1855, and renovated in 1905 in the Colonial Revival style. It consists of a two-story double pile plan brick core structure with a third floor within a dormered mansard roof. It features a wraparound porch.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Craggy Mountain Line is a non-profit, all volunteer run, railroad museum located in, Asheville, North Carolina. Craggy Mountain Line operates from May through the end of September. The collection includes local historic cars from Asheville in addition to transit cars from Chicago and New York City.

Foster's Log Cabin Court (now the Log Cabin Motor Court) is located at 330-332 Weaverville Road in Woodfin, North Carolina, about five miles north of the City of Asheville. One of the first auto-oriented tourism facilities in the Asheville area, it features a number of one and two bedroom Rustic Revival log cabins and a dining lodge. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.

Church of the Redeemer is a historic Episcopal church located in Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina. It was built in 1886–1888, and is a native stone cruciform chapel in the Romanesque style. It measures 50 feet long and has a steeply pitched slate gable roof. It features stained glass in round-arch windows—including a Tiffany window signed by Louis Comfort Tiffany. Also on the property is a contributing cemetery. It was built by Dr. Francis Willis, a British physician, who built the private chapel on his 100-acre estate.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Zebulon H. Baird House is a historic home located near Weaverville, Buncombe County, North Carolina. It was built about 1865, and is a two-story, "T"-plan Late Victorian style frame dwelling. It features elaborate detailing in its scrollwork and ornate chimneys with elaborate corbelling. In 2005, it was moved 100 yards to the south from its original location.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

Beaver Lake is a freshwater lake in Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina. The community of Lakeview Park, which was built around Beaver Lake, is now a subdivision of Asheville.

Greenwood Baseball Field is a baseball venue in Asheville, North Carolina, United States. It is home to the UNC Asheville Bulldogs baseball team of the NCAA Division I Big South Conference. The facility opened in 1988. It has a capacity of 300 spectators. It features an electronic scoreboard, dugouts, and a natural grass surface.UNC Asheville also uses McCormick Field, home of the Asheville Tourists minor league baseball team, for a portion of its schedule.

The Richmond Hill Inn was a 25-room Inn located on the Historic Richmond Hill estate in North Carolina. It was a Queen Anne style mansion that was built in 1889 and has now been gutted by the arson fire. It served as the private residence of ambassador and congressman Richmond Pearson. Its name derives from a combination of its builder, Richmond Pearson, and the designer, James G. Hill. At the time of its construction, the mansion was one of the most elegant structures in Asheville, with running water, ten fireplaces, and a pulley-operated baggage elevator. It served as a center for social and political activity for many years during Pearson's life. The Estate is located on French Broad River, surrounded by rolling grounds with gardens.

Kimmel Arena is the home of the UNC Asheville Bulldogs basketball programs, both men and women's. It is a 3,200-seat arena located on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Asheville in Asheville, North Carolina. Kimmel Arena, named for local businessman Joe Kimmel, is part of the much larger Wilma M. Sherrill Center, which is a 133,500-square-foot (12,400 m2) facility. The arena held its first games, both exhibitions, on November 7, 2011, and formally opened November 13, 2011, as UNC Asheville hosted the University of North Carolina Tar Heels. It replaces the Justice Center as UNCA's home court, but the latter will remain as a training facility and physical education complex.

The Richmond Hill House was a historic home located at 45 Richmond Hill Rd. in Asheville, North Carolina. It was built in 1889 and was designed by James G. Hill in the Queen Anne style. The house sat on a 7.5-acre (3.0 ha) property. It was demolished on February 1, 2012.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

The Justice Center is a 1,100-seat multi-purpose arena in Asheville, North Carolina. It is home to the University of North Carolina at Asheville Bulldogs volleyball team and hosted the 2006 Big South Conference women's basketball tournament and 2008 men's tourney. The Justice Center was replaced by the larger Kimmel Arena for use by UNC Asheville men's and women's basketball teams. The Kimmel Arena was completed in 2011. Men's Basketball Highlights -1969-1971 played to capacity crowds in advancing to NAIA National Playoffs. -1999-2000 completed the 6th largest comeback in NCAA Division I history by overcoming a 26-point deficit and beating Coastal Carolina
