Bache, Shropshire

Callow Hill is a hill near the village of Lower Dinchope between Craven Arms and Ludlow in the English county of Shropshire. Its summit marks the highest point along the 31 kilometre length of Wenlock Edge. On the skyline is a square tower known as Flounders' Folly.

Flounders' Folly is a tower, built in 1838, on Callow Hill, near Craven Arms at the western end of Wenlock Edge in Shropshire, England. The tower is approximately 80 feet (24 m) tall and 16 feet (4.9 m) square and is clearly visible (on the skyline) from the Cardiff–Crewe railway line, just north of Craven Arms and also from the busy A49 Shrewsbury to Hereford road. Many walks ascend the hill from various points and it is mentioned in many walking guides to Shropshire.

Culmington is a village and civil parish in south Shropshire, England, about 3+1⁄2 miles (5.6 km) east of Craven Arms and 4+1⁄2 miles (7 km) north of Ludlow. The village is about 330 feet (100 m) above sea level, beside the River Corve, just east of the B4365 road. The 2011 Census recorded the parish population as 423.

Onibury is a village and civil parish on the River Onny in southern Shropshire, about 4 miles (6.4 km) northwest of the market town of Ludlow. The parish includes the hamlets of Walton and Wootton and was extended in 1967 to include parts from Clungunford and Stokesay. It borders the parishes of Clungunford, Stokesay (now part of Craven Arms parish), Bromfield, Culmington and Stanton Lacy. The country houses of Ferney Hall and Stokesay Court are in the parish.

Onibury railway station was a station in Onibury, Shropshire, England. The station was opened in 1852 and closed in 1958.

The River Corve is a minor river in Shropshire, England. It is a tributary of the River Teme which it joins in the town of Ludlow, and which joins the River Severn at Powick near Worcester. The valley it flows through is known as the Corvedale (or Corve Dale), a term used as a general name for the area, and a name used for example by the primary school in Diddlebury. It is sometimes (archaically) spelled "Corf", which is its pronunciation.

Corfton is a small village in Shropshire, England, located 4.5 miles (7.2 km) east of Craven Arms and 7.5 miles (12.1 km) north of Ludlow, the two nearest towns. There is a pub, with its own small brewery (the Corvedale Brewery), called The Sun Inn.It is named after the nearby River Corve. The Corvedale Three Castles Walk runs through the village.

Bromfield railway station was a station in Bromfield, Shropshire, England. The station was opened in 1852 and closed for regular passenger train services in 1958. but was occasionally used for special trains on race days until around 1965. last used 29 April 1965 After closure the station buildings and platforms were demolished and the site is now occupied by a factory.

Stokesay Court is a country house and estate in the parish of Onibury (but named after Stokesay) in Shropshire, England. Described by John Newman, in the Shropshire volume of Pevsner's Buildings of England, as "the most grandiloquent Victorian mansion in the county", Stokesay is a Grade II* listed building.

Bromfield is a village and civil parish in Shropshire, England. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 306, which had fallen to 277 at the 2011 census.

Stanton Lacy is a small village and geographically large civil parish located in south Shropshire, England, 3 miles (4.8 km) north of Ludlow. The River Corve flows through the parish, on its way south towards the River Teme, and passes immediately to the west of the village. The ancient parish church in the village is St Peter's. The building is Grade I listed and has pre-Norman parts dating to circa 1050.

National Cycle Network Route 44, part of the National Cycle Network, connects Shrewsbury, Shropshire with Cinderford, Gloucestershire. The part of the route from Shrewsbury to Bromfield is signed - the remainder of the route is currently unsigned. The section from Shrewsbury to Leominster is advertised as the Six Castles Cycleway. The six castles on or near the route are (in geographical order from north to south): Shrewsbury Castle, Bishop's Castle, Stokesay Castle, Ludlow Castle, Richard's Castle and Croft Castle.
