Juniper Ridge is a community located in the city of Kamloops, British Columbia. It is situated at the south-east end of the city on a hillside south of the South Thompson River. There is a convenience store at the entrance to the community, and the area is serviced by an elementary school. It is accessible only by one road, Highland Rd.: however, a formerly washed out dirt road has been refilled allowing emergency access to the Rose Hill area. Most of the streets in this neighbourhood are named after rivers in the province, such as: Skeena, Nechako, Omineca, Babine, Coldwater, etc. Tennis courts, an ice rink with bright lighting, and a dog park are located at the local community centre, Juniper Park.

The Kamloops Indian Residential School was part of the Canadian Indian residential school system. Located in Kamloops, British Columbia, it was once the largest residential school in Canada, with its enrolment peaking at 500 in the 1950s. The school was established in 1890 and operated until 1969, when it was taken over from the Catholic Church by the federal government to be used as a day school residence. It closed in 1978. The school building still stands today, and is located on the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc First Nation.: 14 In the early 2000s, a tourist discovered a juvenile rib in the area, and in the late 1990s a child's tooth was found. In 2021, Sarah Beaulieu— an anthropologist at the University of the Fraser Valley—surveyed the area with ground-penetrating radar (GPR) and concluded the probable presence of about 200 unmarked graves, though "only forensic investigation with excavation" could confirm if these were actually human remains. As of May 2022, debates were ongoing on whether to conduct an archaeological excavation to exhume potential human remains or leave the site undisturbed.

The Yellowhead Bridge or the East Kamloops Bridge is a road bridge in Kamloops, British Columbia. It carries Highway 5 over the South Thompson River. It was completed in December of 1968 and has a length of 179.2 metres, not including a preceding railway overhead on the south side of the river.

Sun Rivers is a community located on the northeastern side of Kamloops, BC on the Kamloops Indian Band Reserve against Mount Peter and Mount Paul. It is located east on Highway 5 near the junction with the Trans Canada Highway. It is developed around the Sun Rivers golf course.

Western Canada Theatre is a professional theatre company located in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. It was founded in 1975 by Tom Kerr under the name Western Canada Youth Theatre.It currently offers seven live performances throughout the season; five mainstage and two alternative/experimental productions. The season runs from September to May each year. The company manages and performs in two spaces: Sagebrush Theatre, a 706-seat proscenium theatre, and Pavilion Theatre, a 150-seat black box theatre space. Sagebrush Theatre is the company's mainstage performance space while Pavilion Theatre is the site of the smaller productions. Sagebrush Theatre is shared with the Kamloops School District.The current artistic director is James MacDonald. Previous artistic directors include Tom Kerr, Frank Glassen, David Ross, Michael Dobbin, John Cooper, Jeremy Tow, and Daryl Cloran.

École Secondaire South Kamloops Secondary School (SKSS), Home of the Titans, is a grade 8-12 school in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. It was formed in 1904 under the name Kamloops High School, and moved to its present campus in 1952. It gained the name South Kamloops Secondary School in 2003 through the merger of John Peterson Secondary School and Kamloops Secondary School, two secondary schools located adjacently on the same block. With approximately 1,000 students and 60 staff, SKSS is one of the largest secondary schools in British Columbia's School District 73 Kamloops/Thompson. The school has fine arts programs in photography, visual arts, band and drama. The drama program has performed four different plays since the birth of the school; Dracula, Into the Woods, Kurt Vonnegut Jr.'s Welcome to the Monkey House, and Bye-Bye Birdie. SKSS's inaugural principal Vic Bifano was honoured with recognition as one of Canada's Best Principals and induction into the Canadian National Academy of Principals.

The Kamloops Memorial Arena is an ice hockey arena built in 1948 in Kamloops, British Columbia. It hosted the Western Hockey League teams including the Kamloops Chiefs, Kamloops Junior Oilers and, most notably, the Kamloops Blazers. It was replaced in 1992 by the new Riverside Coliseum (now known as the Sandman Centre). However, the old arena still stands and is used for other levels of hockey, as well as lacrosse. Memorial Arena was the result of a number of community organizations banding together. Innovative fundraising strategies, such as raffles, were strongly supported by the community at large. Accomplishing a project of this magnitude, largely as the result of the efforts by the community, is a testament to how Kamloopsians can come together as well as how much they supported another memorial to World War I and World War II. The arena was designed by architect, C.B.K. Norman and was constructed by J.C. Taylor & Son. opened in 1949.The arena is now home to the North Kamloops Midget AAA Lions who have won the British Columbia Midget AAA championship nine times (1959–69, 1960–61, 1965–66, 1975–76, 1991–92, 1992–93, 1994–95, 1998–99, and 1999–00); the arena is also home to Thompson Rivers University Hockey, who played their first season in 2009–2010.

Sahali (or Sa-hali) is a neighbourhood in South Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada, bordered by the Aberdeen and Downtown districts. It is home to most of Kamloops' major grocery and big box stores. It is also site of one of British Columbia's newest universities: Thompson Rivers University. The neighbourhood is the largest in Kamloops and consists of an Upper and Lower Sahali, with an estimated total population of about 12,000 in 2003. The neighbourhood's name derives from the word sahali, a local version of the Chinook Jargon word usually seen as saghalie in published lexicons of the Jargon. Its basic meaning is 'up' or 'above' but in this context meaning 'high ground'. Sahali is situated on high ground overlooking the valley of the Thompson River. Several schools are located in Sahali, including Sa-Hali Secondary School, the neighbourhood's only high school. St Paul's Cathedral, Kamloops, is the Cathedral church for the Territory of the People, Anglican Church of Canada. The Territory of the People (the Territory) was formerly known as the Diocese of Cariboo, which was dissolved because of its inability to meet tort judgments against it in respect of abuse in Indian residential schools. After dissolution of the Diocese of the Cariboo the Territory was temporarily known as The Anglican Parishes of the Central Interior. The area officially became a territory in 2015.The original church was built in 1888 on Main Street; in 1924, the building was moved to Nicola Street. The building is an extremely modest one both in size and furniture and fittings. In 2023, the rector was the Rev Dr Kyle Norman. The bishop having responsibility for the parishes of the Territory is the Rt. Rev. Barbara Andrews; Clara Plamondon was consecrated as Bishop in January 2024. The Dean is the Rev. Ken Gray.

The Kamloops Heritage Railway is a heritage railway in Kamloops, British Columbia. The railway operates throughout the year running trains within Kamloops. The train is pulled by restored steam locomotive Canadian National Railway 2141, the "Spirit of Kamloops". 2141 was built in 1912 by the Canadian Locomotive Company, in Kingston, Ontario - built for the Canadian Northern Railway, prior to it being absorbed into the Canadian National Railway. She is a 2-8-0, 'Consolidation' class of steam locomotive built for branch line railways. Originally a coal burner, she was converted to burn oil in 1954, and retired from active duty in 1958. 2141 was sold to the City of Kamloops in 1961, and placed on display in Riverside Park until restoration work began in 1995. The restoration was completed in 2001, and 2141 has been working for KHR from May until December each year since. A second restoration took place from 2013 to 2015, with the engine running again in August 2015. The locomotive was featured in the movie Gold (2013) Tickets for excursions are sold at the ticket office, located at #3-510 Lorne Street, right across from the old Kamloops railway station.As of 2022 the Kamloops Heritage Railway was reduced to temporary static display. This was due to the increased amount of freight traffic, mainly the export of American coal through Kamloops via Canadian Pacific Railway to the Canadian National Kamloops North yard via the rail bridge over the North Thompson River.

Kamloops station is a railway station in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. It serves as the overnight stopover point for the Rocky Mountaineer train service to Jasper, Banff and Calgary from Vancouver. The station was originally built for Canadian National Railway The station was declared a Heritage Railway Station in 1992. Via Rail trains call at the Kamloops North station, not this station. The station building was restored and was previously home to a location of The Keg. As of 2021, it is being remodelled as a local distillery and restaurant.The Kamloops Heritage Railway, offers special excursion steam trains at various times through the year, trains depart from the station with tickets sold from their ticket office at 5-510 Lorne St near the station.
