Locust Valley High School is a public high school located in Lattingtown, Nassau County, New York, U.S.A., and is the only high school operated by the Locust Valley Central School District. As of the 2014–15 school year, the school had an enrollment of 716 students and 45.3 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 15.8:1. There were 81 students (11.3% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 21 (2.9% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Locust Valley Cemetery is a non-denominational cemetery located in Locust Valley, New York, in Nassau County. The cemetery was founded in the nineteenth century and designed by John Charles Olmsted and Frederick Law Olmsted Jr., renowned architects of Central Park. They are the sons of the famed landscape designer Frederick Law Olmsted. The two brothers were among the founding members of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). Locust Valley Cemetery is situated on over 32 lushly landscape acres with a park-like setting. The cemetery is owned by its plot holders and managed by an association.

Bailey Arboretum is a 42-acre (17 ha) arboretum located in Lattingtown, New York, a small village on the North Shore of Long Island. It opened to the public on Aug. 5, 1969 after being donated to Nassau County in 1968 by the heirs of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bailey. Through an agreement with the Village of Lattingtown, admission to the arboretum was limited to 200 people at any one time.

George Underhill House, also known as Wayside, is a historic home located at Locust Valley in Nassau County, New York, USA. It is a rambling U-shaped wood-frame house with 1-, 1+1⁄2- and 2-story sections dated to about 1790. The original section is a 1+1⁄2-story timber-frame structure with a moderately pitched gable roof. Also on the property is a 1+1⁄2-story, wood-frame tenant house.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

John E. Aldred Estate, also known as St. Josaphat's Monastery, is a historic estate located at Lattingtown in Nassau County, New York. It was designed in 1916 by architect Bertram Goodhue, with landscaping by Olmsted Brothers, for public utility executive John Edward Aldred. The estate consists of the main residence, known as Ormston; the superintendent's quarters; hen house; 2+1⁄2-story, hip-roofed stable; greenhouse and conservatory; garage; utility shed; garden shed; gazebo; and two gatehouses. The main house is a Tudor Revival–style dwelling built of random-coursed, quarry-faced limestone and roofed in heavy slate. The Basilian Order of Saint Josaphat purchased the property in 1944. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Cock-Cornelius House, also known as Wyckoff-Underhill House, is a historic home located at Locust Valley in Nassau County, New York. It is a 1- to 2+1⁄2-story, "U" shaped wood-frame dwelling sheathed in wood shingles. The main block is 2+1⁄2 stories and five bays wide. The oldest section of the house is dated to the Federal period, about 1790. The house was expanded in the 1840s and in the 1920s-1930s.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

The Underhill Burying Ground is a cemetery located within the Village of Lattingtown, in the Town of Oyster Bay in Nassau County, New York. The cemetery has been in continuous operation since the burial of Captain John Underhill in 1672. The Underhill Burying Ground is governed by the Underhill Burying Ground, Inc., a non-profit organization, incorporated under the laws of the State of New York.

Glen Cove's Gurdwara Mata Sahib Kaur is a Sikh Gurdwara or temple in Glen Cove, New York in Nassau County on Long Island. It has an area of 15 acres near Long Island Sound. The main building is 30,000 sq ft (2,800 m2) built-up area, 20 rooms and three halls. There is a secondary building with a five-bedroom house as the residence of sewadars. The property was purchased for $1.20 million to make a gurdwara. This gurdwara was founded by the Sikhs of Long Island, New York when they felt that they needed a larger facility. It separated from Gurdwara Guru Gobind Singh Sikh Center Plainview. The first head priest was Singh Sahib Gyani Jagtar Singh Jachak. Bhai Sahib left to serve again as an international Kathakaar. Presently the granthi is Bhai Paramjit Singh. Sewadars of Gurdwara Sahib are Bhai Swinder Singh and Bhai Navdeep Singh. The president of Gurdwara Sahib is Sardar Harbinder Singh Sachdev and secretary is Sardar Mohan Singh Kabuli. Gurdwara Sahib have Ragi Jathas by each month and Gurbani Vichar is done by Sikh preachers. Gurdwara Sahib attracts an average weekly congregation of 200 families from the surrounding area.
