TPC Sugarloaf is a 27-hole private golf club in the southeastern United States, located within the gated community at Sugarloaf Country Club outside the official city limits of Duluth, Georgia, a suburb northeast of Atlanta. The facility consists of three 9-hole courses designed by Greg Norman, and is a member of the Tournament Players Club network operated by the PGA Tour. It was the home of the tour's annual AT&T Classic (formerly the BellSouth Classic) from 1997 until it ended in 2008. It began hosting the Mitsubishi Electric Classic (formerly the Greater Gwinnett Championship) on the PGA Tour Champions in 2013. The BellSouth/AT&T Classic was always played over the original two nines, The Stables and The Meadows, which opened the week before its first staging of the tournament in 1997. Just weeks beforehand, the property was hit by a tornado which damaged many trees on the first and ninth holes, and leveled some of the corporate tent structures around the 18th green. The third nine, The Pines, opened in 2000. The land was formerly the O. Wayne Rollins family farm, where they kept pure-bred cattle and horses.

The Mitsubishi Electric Classic is a golf tournament on the PGA Tour Champions in Georgia in the greater Atlanta area. It debuted ten years ago in 2013 as the "Greater Gwinnett Championship," and has been played each year at TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth, a northeast suburb. A familiar course, TPC Sugarloaf was a venue on the PGA Tour for twelve seasons (1997–2008) for the AT&T Classic (previously BellSouth Classic). The purse in 2019 was $1.8 million, with a winner's share of $270,000.The tournament in 2020 was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Atlanta Classic was a golf tournament on the PGA Tour, a regular stop in suburban Atlanta for over four decades. It was founded in 1967, although previous events dating to 1934 are included in the PGA Tour's past winners list. AT&T was the last title sponsor of the tournament. From 1967 to 1996, it was played at the Atlanta Country Club in Marietta, northwest of Atlanta. From 1997 to 2008, it was played over the Stables and Meadows nines at TPC at Sugarloaf in Duluth, northeast of Atlanta. For most of its years, the Atlanta tournament was usually held in May. From 1999–2006, it was moved to early April, the week before the Masters. Its final two editions were in mid-May, a week after the Players Championship (which was moved from late March). The tournament was cancelled after the 2008 season.This event is not to be confused with the AT&T Champions Classic played in Valencia, California, a Champions Tour (now PGA Tour Champions) tournament which bore the "AT&T Classic" name in 2006, prior to AT&T's acquisition of BellSouth. It was cancelled after the 2009 season. TPC Sugarloaf currently hosts an annual PGA Tour Champions event, the Mitsubishi Electric Classic, which debuted in 2013.

Sugarloaf Mills, formerly Discover Mills, is a 1,183,000-square-foot (109,900 m2) single story shopping mall in suburban Metro Atlanta, located in Lawrenceville in Gwinnett County, Georgia, near the interchange of Interstate 85 and Highway 316. Opened in 2001, the mall features 13 anchors, over 150 specialty retailers as well as a variety of theme restaurants, casual dining and entertainment venues.

Peachtree Ridge High School (PRHS) is a public high school in Gwinnett County, in Suwanee, Georgia, United States. It is a part of Gwinnett County Public Schools. It is one of two public schools in the county to use block scheduling, the other being Shiloh High School.

The Gwinnett County Public School District is a school district operating in Gwinnett County, Georgia, United States. GCPS is the largest school system in Georgia, with over 120 school buildings and an estimated enrollment of over 188,000 students for the 2017–2018 year. GCPS is estimated to be the 14th largest school district in the U.S. The district has its headquarters in an unincorporated area near Suwanee.Niche rates GCPS as A+ and within the top 25 school systems in Georgia. In addition, GCPS have not only served as a model for the state but for the entire nation as recently twice, in 2010 and 2014, winning the prestigious Broad Prize for Urban Education for being the top urban school district in the nation. 2014 was the last year the prize was awarded, GCPS was one of only two school districts to win the prize twice, and GCPS was the first district to have won the prize before and win it again in its first year of eligibility to again win the prize.Calvin J. Gwinnett Technical College is a public technical school in the U.S. state of Georgia with campuses in Lawrenceville and Alpharetta. It is a unit of the Technical College System of Georgia and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Since opening its doors as the Gwinnett Area Technical School in 1984, the college has added numerous programs of study, made two name changes, expanded its facilities and experienced enrollment growth. Currently, the Lawrenceville campus is 88 acres and the Alpharetta-North Fulton Campus is 25 acres.

The Handweavers Guild of America (HGA) is an association of fiber artists founded in the U.S. in 1969. The guild provides educational programs, conferences, and scholarships for fiber arts students. It publishes the quarterly journal Shuttle Spindle & Dyepot.

Gwinnett Place Mall is a largely vacant shopping mall located in the Pleasant Hill Road corridor of Duluth, Georgia, in the United States. Once the leading mall in the region, the mall centered on one of the fastest-growing counties in the nation, until the openings of Mall of Georgia in Buford and Sugarloaf Mills in Lawrenceville. It was used as the Starcourt Mall filming location for the third season of Netflix's Stranger Things.

The Gwinnett Place Transit Center (also Gwinnett County Transit Center) is a regional bus station and a major stop for Gwinnett County Transit buses in Gwinnett County and Atlanta, Georgia. The terminal contains a seating area, and is in close proximity to the Gwinnett Place & Sugarloaf business districts.

Georgia's 7th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is currently represented by Democrat Lucy McBath. The district's boundaries have been redrawn following the 2010 census, which granted an additional congressional seat to Georgia. The first election using the new district boundaries (listed below) were the 2012 congressional elections. The district includes portions of the northeast Atlanta metropolitan area, including the cities of Johns Creek, Peachtree Corners, Norcross, Lawrenceville, Duluth, Snellville, Suwanee, and Buford. It covers most of Gwinnett County and a portion of northeastern Fulton County. From 2013 to 2023, the district included most of Gwinnett County and portions of Forsyth County.Although the seat had been held by Republicans from 1995 until 2021, the 7th district had previously elected Democrats consistently from the Reconstruction era (1868) until the 1994 Congressional Elections. The district has recently become friendlier to Democrats as a result of significant demographic changes, particularly the growth of Black, Hispanic and Asian populations. In the 2018 midterm elections, Republican Rob Woodall won reelection by only 433 votes, or 0.15%, against Democrat Carolyn Bourdeaux, and his victory was only confirmed after a recount. In terms of both absolute numbers and vote percentage, it was the closest U.S. House race in the country in 2018. In 2020, Bourdeaux was elected to represent the district in Congress.

The Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology (GSMST) is a special public school in Lawrenceville, Georgia, United States, and a part of Gwinnett County Public Schools. Students are admitted through a county-wide lottery, whose participants, since the school dropped its charter status in 2016, must meet multiple requirements. It features a heavy focus on project-based STEM education. Its rigorous course offerings and high student graduation rate make it one of the most prestigious high schools in the state.GSMST is notable for its focus on technology. Through contracts with Lenovo and HP Inc., every student is issued a laptop with pre-installed software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Premiere Pro. Teachers and students have access to school-wide SMART boards and overhead LCD projectors.
