Hamilton Township, Mercer County, New Jersey

The John Abbott II House is located at 2200 Kuser Road in Hamilton Township of Mercer County, New Jersey. It was built c. 1730. The house is currently used as a museum by the Historical Society of Hamilton Township and is open to the public. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 18, 1976, for its significance in architecture, military history, and politics/government.

The school mascot is the Spartan.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,447 students and 104.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 13.9:1. There were 302 students (20.9% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 56 (3.9% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Yardville is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Hamilton Township, in Mercer County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 2,945. Before the 2010 Census, the area was part of the Yardville-Groveville CDP.

Mercerville-Hamilton Square is a census-designated place and unincorporated community located within Hamilton Township, in Mercer County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2000 United States Census, the CDP's population was 26,419. As part of the 2010 census, the area was split into two CDPs, Mercerville and Hamilton Square.

Yardville-Groveville was an unincorporated community and former census-designated place (CDP) located within Hamilton Township, in Mercer County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2000 United States Census, the CDP's population was 9,208.Since the 2010 census, the area has been split into two, Yardville and Groveville.

Nottingham is an unincorporated community located within Hamilton Township in Mercer County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It was named after the English town of Nottingham when the area was settled by English emigrants entering an area of Dutch culture just two decades removed from the land being part of New Netherland, Dutch Empire. Nottingham is in the Mercerville-Hamilton Square area. Settled earlier, Nottingham is the original settlement in the former Nottingham Township (1688-1856). The neighboring unincorporated community of Sandtown was renamed Mercerville after the Battle of Princeton. Most or all of Nottingham was renamed Hamilton Square after Alexander Hamilton in a wave of anti-British sentiment at the time of the War of 1812. But local people still call the community Nottingham, because a large minority did not agree with the name change, and the center of Hamilton Square was a different neighborhood. Nottingham has maintained its sense of neighborhood because of continuity with street names and social events.

The Hamilton Township School District is a comprehensive community public school district, serving students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade from Hamilton Township, in Mercer County, New Jersey, United States. The district is one of the state's ten largest and consists of 17 elementary schools, three middle schools and three high schools along with an alternative program.As of the 2021–22 school year, the district, comprised of 23 schools, had an enrollment of 11,816 students and 969.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 12.2:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "FG", the fourth-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.

Hamilton Square is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Hamilton Township, in Mercer County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, that is the site of a historic colonial village. Until the 2000 census the area was part of the Mercerville-Hamilton Square CDP, which was split into two CDPs as of 2010: Mercerville and Hamilton Square. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 12,784.Hamilton Square was established in 1692 and was named after Alexander Hamilton in a wave of anti-British feeling at the time of the War of 1812. It previously had been called Nottingham after the British town. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 12,784.

As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 13,230. Until after the 2000 census, the area was part of the Mercerville-Hamilton Square CDP. For the 2010 Census it was split into two CDPs, Mercerville and Hamilton Square.

Sayen Park Botanical Garden (30 acres), also known as Sayen House and Gardens, is a municipal park and botanical garden located at 155 Hughes Drive, Hamilton Square, an area within Hamilton Township, New Jersey. The garden is open year-round from dawn to dusk without charge, though park activity is at its peak in the spring. The garden began in 1912 when Frederick Sayen (1885–1981) purchased the site with his wife, Anne Mellon (1886–1977), a daughter of the Mellon family. The Sayens built a "bungalow" home in the Arts and Crafts style, though with Victorian interior design, and surrounded it with plants and flowers acquired during world travels. The principal collections include species from China, Japan, and England. The Sayen site became municipal property in 1988, when Hamilton Township purchased the site from developer David Cellars. The park was opened to the public in 1991. The township expanded and improved the park in 2003. Today the garden contains more than 1,000 azaleas, nearly 500 rhododendrons, and more than 250,000 flowering bulbs for spring display, as well as ponds, bridges, gazebos, and walking trails. Sayen House and Gardens hosts an annual Azalea Festival each Mother's Day, during which Sayen House is open to the public from 10AM to 4PM.
