The New Hanover Township School District is a consolidated public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from non-military portions of New Hanover Township (including its Cookstown section) and Wrightstown, two communities in Burlington County, New Jersey, United States.As of the 2019–20 school year, the district, comprised of one school, had an enrollment of 180 students and 21.8 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 8.3:1. In the 2016-17 school year, the district had the 40th-smallest enrollment of any school district in the state.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "B", the second lowest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.For ninth through twelfth grades, students from both New Hanover Township and Wrightstown attend Bordentown Regional High School as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Bordentown Regional School District, a regional K-12 school district that serves students from Bordentown City, Bordentown Township and Fieldsboro Borough. As of the 2019–20 school year, the high school had an enrollment of 791 students and 57.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 13.9:1.

Old Upper Springfield Friends Burying Ground is a cemetery located in Springfield Township and Wrightstown, in Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. The cemetery and the accompanying meeting house were placed on both the New Jersey (state ID # 875) and the National Register of Historic Places (Reference # 79001479) in 1979.

The Zurbrugg Mansion, which has also been known as The Columns, at 531 Delaware Avenue in Delanco Township, Burlington County, New Jersey, was built in 1910. It was designed by architects Furness, Evans & Co. in Classical Revival style. Vacant for several years after being used as a nursing home, it was acquired by Grapevine Development and subsequently listed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 28, 2009, for its significance in architecture. The listing included two contributing buildings, a contributing structure, and a contributing object.

The Federal Correctional Institution, Fort Dix (FCI Fort Dix) is a low-security United States federal prison for male offenders in New Jersey. It is operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons. A satellite prison camp houses minimum-security male inmates. FCI Fort Dix is located in Burlington County on the ASA Fort Dix entity of Joint base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. It is approximately 40 miles (64 km) from Philadelphia. Fort Dix is the largest single federal prison in the United States in the number of inmates housed there.It is divided up into three compounds: The separate East and West Compounds (both low-level, each constituting a single prison in its own right) and a camp between the two.

McGuire AFB/McGuire, the common name of the McGuire unit of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, is a United States Air Force base in Burlington County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, approximately 16.1 miles (25.9 km) south-southeast of Trenton. McGuire is under the jurisdiction of the Air Mobility Command. It was consolidated with two adjoining US Army and Navy facilities to become part of Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL) on 1 October 2009. The McGuire Air Force Base census-designated place (CDP) is located in portions of both New Hanover Township and North Hanover Township. As of the 2020 United States census, the McGuire Air Force Base CDP had a total population of 4,522.

Joint Base McGuire–Dix–Lakehurst (JB MDL) is a United States military facility located 18 miles (29 km) southeast of Trenton, New Jersey. The base is the only tri-service base in the United States Department of Defense and includes units from all six armed forces branches. The facility is an amalgamation of the United States Air Force's McGuire Air Force Base, the United States Army's Fort Dix and the United States Navy's Naval Air Engineering Station Lakehurst, which were merged on 1 October 2009. It was established in accordance with congressional legislation implementing the recommendations of the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure Commission. The legislation ordered the consolidation of the three facilities which were adjoining, but separate military installations, into a single joint base, one of 12 formed in the United States as a result of the law. The installation commander is Air Force Colonel Anthony L. Smith.

Juliustown is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Springfield Township, in Burlington County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, that was established as part of the 2010 United States census. As of the 2010 Census, the CDP's population was 429.

The Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) C5ISR Center, formerly the Communications-Electronics RD&E Center (CERDEC), is the United States Army information technologies and integrated systems center. CCDC C5ISR Center is headquartered at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland, with activities at Fort Belvoir in Virginia and Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey. As one of the 10 organizations that make up the Combat Capabilities Development Command, a subordinate organization of the Army Futures Command, CCDC C5ISR Centers supplies Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) capabilities, technologies and integrated solutions for the Soldier.

Mid-State Correctional Facility is a New Jersey Department of Corrections state prison for juvenile offenders, located in Wrightstown, New Jersey on the grounds of Fort Dix. The facility opened in 1982. In April 2014, the prison was "closed for renovation".Mid-State was scheduled to re-open in January 2017 as a specialized licensed drug treatment and detention center, with a capacity of 696. In April 2017, the facility re-opened. The facility now serves as a "treatment prison" for inmates, who can enroll in treatment programs that are state-certified.

The district operates three elementary schools, with two located in Jacobstown and one on the grounds of Joint Base MDL. It is the largest K-6 school district in Burlington County. As of the 2020–21 school year, the district, comprised of three schools, had an enrollment of 1,127 students and 124.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.1:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "CD", the sixth-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.Public school students in seventh through twelfth grades attend the schools of the Northern Burlington County Regional School District, which also serves students from Chesterfield Township, Mansfield Township and Springfield Township, along with children of military personnel based at Joint Base McGuire–Dix–Lakehurst. The schools in the district (with 2020–21 enrollment data from the National Center for Education Statistics) are Northern Burlington County Regional Middle School with 743 students in grades 7 - 8 and Northern Burlington County Regional High School with 1,403 students in grades 9-12. Both schools are in the Columbus section of Mansfield Township. The district's 2013-14 budget included $35.6 million in spending which is allocated using a formula that reflects the population and the value of the assessed property in each of the constituent municipalities, under which taxpayers in North Hanover Township pay 14.2% of the district's tax levy.

The Deborah Heart and Lung Center is located in Browns Mills, Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. It is the only hospital in the Delaware Valley region that focuses exclusively on cardiac, vascular, and lung disease.Deborah Heart and Lung Center has 89 beds with a full-service ambulatory care center. In March 2010, Deborah Heart and Lung Center opened an emergency department operated by Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County. The emergency department offers ambulances and walk-in patients access to emergency care.
