Putnam City West High School is a public 9–12 grade school in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It is part of the Putnam City Public Schools District. The school serves portions of suburban Oklahoma City as well as Bethany and Warr Acres. The school's sports teams are known as the Patriots and they are notable for having been state champions in football in 1981 and runners up in 1976 and 1977. In 2014, the school's basketball program was runner up for the Oklahoma 6A basketball title, losing to Tulsa Union High School in the final. In 2016, Putnam City West's boys' basketball team beat Norman North for the 6A state title.

SNU Stadium located in Bethany, Oklahoma is the home stadium of the NCAA Division II college football team the Crimson Storm of Southern Nazarene University. SNU played their inaugural season at Taft Stadium in Oklahoma City. SNU Stadium opened on November 3, 2001. The next season SNU installed a press box. During this time SNU was a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. In 2012, the program moved to NCAA Division II and became a member of the Great American Conference. The stadium is also home to the Bethany High School Bronchos.

Eldon Lyon Park is the largest park owned and operated by the city of Bethany, Oklahoma. It contains many picnic tables, basketball courts, and a 11⁄2 mile track running around the perimeter of the park. During the 4th of July, the park is home of the Bethany Freedom Celebration. The Freedom Celebration includes rides, food, crafts booths, concerts, and fireworks.

Southwestern Christian University is a private Pentecostal university in Bethany, Oklahoma. It was founded in 1946 as Southwestern Bible College in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and was the first Pentecostal educational institution in the state. While it was established as a Bible college for the training of Christian church leaders within the International Pentecostal Holiness Church, the denomination planned to quickly expand the school into a junior college.

Bethany is a city in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, United States, and a part of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. Bethany has a population of 20,831 at the 2020 census, a 9.3% increase from 2010. The community was founded in 1909 by followers of the Church of the Nazarene from Oklahoma City.

OKC Outlets is an outlet mall located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The mall is 394,661 square feet (36,665.2 m2) in size, and is one of the largest malls owned by The Outlet Resource Group (TORG). It opened on August 5, 2011, as The Outlet Shoppes at Oklahoma City, and was developed by Horizon Group Properties and CBL & Associates Properties. It was proposed to open by November 2009; plans were put on hold because of the economic recession of 2008. Construction began in July 2010. The total cost of the development was $50 million, with $3.9 million of infrastructure improvements paid for by the city of Oklahoma City. It was the largest retail investment of 2010, a down year in new retail construction.On May 1, 2017, TORG announced that it had acquired the mall from Horizon and CBL for $130 million. On May 22, the mall was renamed OKC Outlets.

Bethany High School is located in Bethany, Oklahoma, United States. The first class graduated in 1931. In the 2014 Bethany High School won the National Blue Ribbon Award. The school mascot is a broncho.
