Manitou Springs High School

Manitou Springs School District 14 is the main school district of Manitou Springs and its nearby communities (Cascade, Cedar Heights, Chipita Park, and Green Mountain Falls) at the western edge of El Paso County, Colorado. The district currently serves around 1400 students, about 30 percent of these being "choice" students who live outside of the district's immediate boundaries (usually coming from elsewhere in El Paso or Teller counties). It has the highest graduation rate in the Pikes Peak Region. The district has a 1-to-1 iPad Initiative for every student in grades five through twelve.

Briarhurst Manor, also known as William A. Bell House, is a finely grained pink Victorian sandstone manor house listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the city of Manitou Springs, Colorado. It is the second building on this site. Construction of the original Briarhurst began in 1872. Dr. William Bell, the home's owner, left for England to marry a woman named Cara, who agreed to live with Bell in Colorado as long as her children were born in England. The Tudor Revival style home was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. Fountain Creek passes through the estate and the home is in the shadow of Pikes Peak. Under Mrs. Cara Bell's direction, Briarhurst became "the social center" of the community, hosting the internationally famous of the day, President Grant, President Teddy Roosevelt and Oscar Wilde after his lecture in Colorado Springs in 1882. On occasion, a tribe of friendly Utes camped on the Briarhurst estate grounds while preparing to go into the Garden of the Gods, for them a holy place of worship. One winter night in 1886, while Dr. Bell was away on business, Mrs. Bell awoke to a bedroom filled with smoke. Burning embers escaped from a fireplace in Briarhurst. She woke the children and servants. Cara stayed in the burning house and with the help of gardener Schneider, they rescued a prized oil painting by Thomas Moran, the "Mount of the Holy Cross". The family escaped safely, but lost all of their belongings and returned to England. They returned in early 1887 to begin reconstruction of a second, more elaborate Briarhurst Manor, complete with schoolroom, conservatory, cloister and a library with a special alcove to display the "Mount of the Holy Cross." Today, 5 acres (20,000 m2) of the original Briarhurst estate is a restaurant and event venue. The restaurant seats over 400 guests and features Colorado cuisine. About 2 acres of the old estate is used for a large warehouse building and the Blue Skies Inn Bed and Breakfast utilizing the original 1873 carriage house and 4 other buildings. Hundreds of weddings and receptions are celebrated in the Briarhurst gardens created by Dr Bell's gardener Ferdinand Schneider over a hundred years ago.

Crystal Valley Cemetery is a cemetery located on Plainview Place in Manitou Springs, Colorado. Since its establishment in 1882, it has been the principal cemetery in Manitou Springs. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Keithley Log Cabin Development District is a historic camp and health resort located on between Santa Fe Place, Crystal Road and Spur Road in Manitou Springs, Colorado. It is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Manitou Springs is a home rule municipality located at the foot of Pikes Peak in western El Paso County, Colorado, United States. The town was founded for its natural mineral springs. The downtown area continues to be of interest to travelers, particularly in the summer, with many shops and restaurants, as well as a creekside city park. The main road through the center of town was one of the direct paths to the base of Pikes Peak. Barr Trail, which winds its way up Pikes Peak, is accessible from town. The subdivision Crystal Hills was added to the municipality in the 1960s. The city population was 4,858 at the 2020 United States Census. Students are served by Manitou Springs School District 14 and Manitou Springs High School.

First Congregational Church (also called the Community Congregational Church) is a historic church at 101 Pawnee Avenue in Manitou Springs, Colorado. Completed in August 1880, it was the first church built in Manitou Springs and is the oldest continuously operated Congregational church in Colorado. Due to an influx of tourists during the summer, it was enlarged in 1891. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Redstone Castle or Crawford House is a historic building in Manitou Springs, located within the Manitou Springs Historic District.

Steamboat Rock is a rock formation in the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It is easily accessible by paved road and is a popular spot for tourist photography. The rock was once privately owned, and tourists climbed upon the rock for photographs of it and nearby Balanced Rock. Climbing upon the rock is now prohibited. The stairs leading up the spine of the formation are still visible.

Wheeler Bank is a historic building located on Manitou Avenue in Manitou Springs, Colorado built by Jerome B. Wheeler. It is on the National Register of Historic Places. Over the course of its history, the building has been a financial institution, auditorium and retail business.

The Manitou Cliff Dwellings are a privately owned tourist attraction consisting of replica Ancestral Puebloan cliff dwellings and interpretive exhibits located just west of Colorado Springs, Colorado, on U.S. Highway 24 in Manitou Springs. The attraction was established using replica and reconstructed Pueblo cliff dwellings in 1904 and was opened to the public in 1907. An associated private museum features commercially developed displays about Ancestral Puebloan peoples including exhibits of archaeological artifacts, tools, pottery, and weapons from Indigenous sites and/or replicated by the company that operates the site. The replica dwellings were created as part of a commercial venture to divert tourists from Southwest archaeological sites by creating a version of a Pueblo dwelling place that was more easily accessible to early 20th century American visitors. Visitors can walk through the replica dwellings, and various displays and interpretive material attempt to imbue the entire attraction with a sense of authenticity, though the Manitou Cliff Dwellings are not themselves authentic.

Barker House was once a hotel in Manitou Springs, Colorado in the Manitou Springs Historic District. It is a National Register of Historic Places listing.

Pikes Peak Bible Seminary was an unaccredited correspondence school in Manitou Springs, Colorado. It was founded by C. J. Burton in 1927, and was also known as Burton College and Seminary.The seminary was used in the 1930s and 1940s by pastors seeking doctorates while serving in a church: William Hendriksen obtained a Doctor of Sacred Theology degree from Pikes Peak (before getting a Doctor of Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary) while Victor Paul Wierwille received a Doctor of Theology degree.The seminary was regarded as a diploma mill by the United States Office of Education.
