Pikes Peak Bible Seminary was an unaccredited correspondence school in Manitou Springs, Colorado. It was founded by C. J. Burton in 1927, and was also known as Burton College and Seminary.The seminary was used in the 1930s and 1940s by pastors seeking doctorates while serving in a church: William Hendriksen obtained a Doctor of Sacred Theology degree from Pikes Peak (before getting a Doctor of Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary) while Victor Paul Wierwille received a Doctor of Theology degree.The seminary was regarded as a diploma mill by the United States Office of Education.

Manitou Springs is a home rule municipality located at the foot of Pikes Peak in western El Paso County, Colorado, United States. The town was founded for its natural mineral springs. The downtown area continues to be of interest to travelers, particularly in the summer, with many shops and restaurants, as well as a creekside city park. The main road through the center of town was one of the direct paths to the base of Pikes Peak. Barr Trail, which winds its way up Pikes Peak, is accessible from town. The subdivision Crystal Hills was added to the municipality in the 1960s. The city population was 4,858 at the 2020 United States Census. Located in the building is Adam's Mountain Cafe.The Manitou Spa building is located near several natural mineral springs and within the building is the Soda Spring. The spa was the "town's social center" in the early 1900s.The building, constructed in 1920 or 1921, served infirm and healthy people. One of the resources in the Save America's Treasures project, the hotel and spa resort building retains its original marble floors, bar and murals. Before it was renovated in 2005, it was vacant due to flooding and disrepair.The original bathhouse was built in 1882 to 1883 and was torn down in 1923, or in 1921. Visitors to the bathhouse could bathe in a cool plunge pool, relax in hot mineral water baths, visit the physician or relax in one of the reading rooms.

First Congregational Church (also called the Community Congregational Church) is a historic church at 101 Pawnee Avenue in Manitou Springs, Colorado. Completed in August 1880, it was the first church built in Manitou Springs and is the oldest continuously operated Congregational church in Colorado. Due to an influx of tourists during the summer, it was enlarged in 1891. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
