The Zuiderpark is a city park in the Rotterdam neighbourhood of Charlois.

Rotterdam Ahoy (formerly known as Ahoy Rotterdam or simply as Ahoy) is a convention centre and multi-purpose indoor arena located in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Opened originally in 1950, the current complex consists of three main venues: a fairs and event hall, a congress and conference centre, and the Ahoy Arena. The latter (informally known as the Sportpaleis, lit. 'Sport Palace') opened on 15 January 1971 and is the largest venue, with a capacity of 16,426 as of April 2019.

Zuidplein is an above-ground metro station in the south of the city of Rotterdam, Netherlands. It is part of Rotterdam Metro lines D and E. The station opened on 9 February 1968, on the same date that the North-South Line (also formerly called Erasmus line), of which it is a part, was opened. It served as the southern terminus of the line until 25 November 1970, when a one-station extension to Slinge was opened. Zuidplein station is located immediately adjacent to a large shopping centre of the same name. Rotterdam Ahoy, a large indoor arena, is also within walking distance of the station. A bus station is located directly underneath the metro station, providing access to local bus services.

The Rotterdam Open (also known by its sponsored name ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament) is a professional men's tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts. It is part of the ATP Tour 500 series on the ATP Tour and has been held annually at the Rotterdam Ahoy in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Slinge is an above-ground subway station in the south of the city of Rotterdam. It is part of Rotterdam Metro lines D and E. Slinge is the southern terminus of line E, while line D trains continue towards De Akkers station. The station opened on 25 November 1970 as part of a one-station extension of the North-South Line (also formerly called Erasmus line). It has two platforms and three running tracks; the inner track is only used by trains terminating at Slinge, while the other trains use the outer two tracks.

Millinxbuurt is a neighborhood of Rotterdam, Netherlands.

The D'Oliphant, also written as De Oliphant, was commissioned in 1591 by Cornelis van Wijkcool as "boerenbehuizinge" built near Nieuwesluis on the island Voorne. Oliphant translates into "Elephant" although the current spelling of the Dutch word is Olifant. The octagonal tower part of the house was probably designed to give the allure of a knight homestead and to suggest that the owner belonged to an ancient and noble family. The house was moved in 1975 and is now located at the Kromme Zandweg 90 in the district of Charlois in Rotterdam.

Kromme Zandweg was a football ground in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. It was the home of the professional football club Feyenoord – then known as Feijenoord – from 1917 until 1937, when the club moved to the Feijenoord Stadium.

Katendrecht is a former village in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is now a neighbourhood of Rotterdam, on the south bank of the Nieuwe Maas. Nowadays it is the name of the peninsula which lies between the Rijnhaven and the Maashaven. Katendrecht was a separate municipality between 1817 and 1874, when it merged with Charlois. The neighbourhood covers an area of 1,18 km² with 4,760 inhabitants. In the twentieth century it was the most well known and even famous red light district of Rotterdam with many entertainment venues for sailors. The neighborhood's nickname is De Kaap.

The fifth SS Rotterdam, also known as "The Grande Dame", is a former ocean liner and cruise ship, and has been a hotel ship in Rotterdam, Netherlands since 2010. She was launched by Queen Juliana of the Netherlands in a gala ceremony on 13 September 1958, and was completed the following summer. The Rotterdam was the last great Dutch "ship of state", employing the finest artisans from the Netherlands in her construction and fitting out process. Her career spanned forty-one years. She sailed from 1959 until her final retirement in September 2000.
